Beneath the building are the historic cellars of Tenuta Squarcialupi, where Chianti is still aged today: these fascinating and evocative spaces are open to visitors. The restaurant offers a traditional Tuscan menu, expertly revisited by chef Francesco Costagli. The pasta is carefully prepared by chef Alessio Perna, a true master. The service is attentive, friendly, and, dare I say, impeccable. A truly exceptional culinary experience: I highly recommend lunch or dinner here. Special praise goes to the owner, Mauro Maestrini, a true master of the art. The entire team, from the kitchen to the dining room, deserves praise for their professionalism and dedication. An experience worth repeating... the only risk: it can be addictive! 😊

01/05/2026: We had (or we thought we have a reservation in another restaurant), but it turned out to be closed. Trying to find a place nearby without reservation and last minute, we bumped into this place which was full mainly with locals, but also few tourists like us. We were lucky they could find us a table and we enjoyed fantastic food. Atmosphere and service are also very good. Highly recommend it!

Then a special fillet, cooked to perfection: tender, flavorful, and meticulously presented. All accompanied by a stunning "Calipte" rosé, in an exceptional atmosphere, elegant yet welcoming, where every detail contributes to making the experience special. Highly recommended: one of those restaurants that lingers in your memory.

03/03/2026: I went on a Tuscan tour that included a winery visit! The scenery was amazing, and the restaurant was beautiful. The food was also delicious... The wine was so good I bought some as a gift. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I had in Italy.

07/05/2026: TOURIST RIP-OFF & SCAM. The Payton is dishonest and the employees are under its control. They charged us €3 per person for service even though only one person ate. When we pointed this out, they told us that's how it's done in Italy. A complete rip-off!!

12/04/2026: 5 stars aren't enough for this restaurant! The first and second courses are exquisite, and the meat is a 10!!! I highly recommend the heifer steak and Cabrero wine! The owners are super friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a try!

12/04/2026: A truly unforgettable stay at Riserva di Fizzano 🌿 This place is the definition of peaceful. Surrounded by the beauty of Tuscany and rooted in over 1,000 years of history, it feels like stepping into another world. The sunsets here are absolutely breathtaking—something you’ll want to pause and fully take in. The food at the restaurant is excellent, making it easy to stay in and enjoy every moment, and the wine… simply some of the best you’ll find in the region 🍷 The room was very unique and clean, the sheets and towels were as well. One small tip: bring a wall adapter, or you can easily ask for one at reception. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful escape with history, views, and amazing food, this is it.

01/02/2026: I discovered this place completely by chance during a bike ride. I'd promised myself I'd wait until I got to my destination to eat, but then I stumbled upon this place and hunger took over. The place looks almost unremarkable from the outside, but once you enter, everything changes. Very well-kept. The owner is very friendly. I had the best tartare and tagliata of my life. All washed down with a divine Chianti Riserva. The prices are initially high, but they're proportionate to the quality. Personally, it's a place worth going to.

The owner was extremely rude and disrespectful, even treating his staff in a truly deplorable manner in front of customers: an unpleasant scene that completely ruined the atmosphere. As for the aperitif, nothing special: average quality, with nothing to justify a visit. I wouldn't recommend it.
