We stopped for a snack and found ourselves immersed in an authentic and unforgettable gastronomic experience. The platter was a journey through Tuscan flavors: typical local cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by a caramelized onion whose sweetness perfectly enhanced every bite. All paired with excellent local wines — a pairing that captures the essence of this region. But what makes the place truly special is the welcoming and friendly staff — genuine warmth, no frills, that Tuscan friendliness that makes you feel immediately at home. A rustic and quaint setting, a relaxed atmosphere. A place where the food speaks of the region with pride and passion. Highly recommended! 🧀🍷

28/05/2026: This restaurant was a spontaneous stop during our day, while searching for places to eat near where we were walking, and it turned out to be an incredible surprise. Everything was absolutely delicious, from the starters to the main courses, desserts, and wines. Samanta’s service was exceptional — truly one of the best dining experiences and services we have had in all of Italy. We will definitely remember her kindness and attention. The food was outstanding, especially the cod and the truffle steak tartare. In fact, it was the best steak tartare we have eaten so far in all of Europe. We highly recommend this place, hidden away in a small Tuscan village, and we already hope to come back someday.

26/01/2026: My wife and I went there for lunch yesterday. We were right to book in advance as the place is small. Beautiful! Amazing meat recommended by the owner, who was kind and friendly, like all the rest of the staff. Not like ours in La Spezia 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. The platter was delicious, with exquisite cured meats and cheeses, and very tasty. The bread and focaccia were delicious. The dessert was amazing. The wine in the flask was good, and it smelled like Sangiovese. The bill was €55 per person, and I think he even gave us a little discount. What more can I say? Thank you so much, congratulations, and see you next time!

21/03/2026: I found the prices significantly higher than average, especially considering the quality of the food. Service was quite slow: the staff tended to spend time on other tasks while customers waited, making the wait longer than necessary. One detail that struck me negatively was the Christmas panettone: the black packaging was unsuitable for the holiday season, conveying a rather sad impression rather than enhancing the product. Some products were decent, but overall there was considerable room for improvement, starting with a price review.

03/05/2026: Today, with my friend from Prato, I went to try the famous grilled ravioli my friend boasts so much about. Porta al Serraglio is located across from the Prato station, easy to find, and the staff were courteous and kind in accommodating our every request... the bill was a bit pricey, but otherwise, the company was very enjoyable, and I can't wait to see her again. With my friend, every place is magical... oh, I forgot, the gnocchi were a real discovery... incredibly tasty.

17/11/2025: First of all, the menu you can choose is chefs choice so you don't really know what you are going to eat. There were 8 dishes, from which some were absolutely fantastic (my favourite was pasta with nervetti) but some were a complete miss (cauliflower with liquorice).. the staff was very young and was at a time lacked confidence and experience.
