25/06/2025: It was a pleasant surprise! I went to lunch with my wife and son. We chose this restaurant because we had heard good things about it but we were a little afraid that it was the classic restaurant with expensive but extremely poor dishes… We wanted to try the experience anyway and we came away enthusiastic! The prices are absolutely fair and not too high but above all the quality is very high! Both in the choice of raw materials and in the skill in preparing the dishes we fell in love with it! We shared an appetizer among 3 of us (just to nibble something while waiting for the first courses) and incredibly the dish was sufficiently abundant to allow everyone to eat enough to appreciate it. Afterwards each of us had a first course and as an accompaniment we chose a bottle of white wine (it cost 18 euros and the wine list is fantastic! There are bottles of all types and from all over the world). Even for the first courses the quantity of the courses was generous and both my wife and my son struggled to finish… I was “forced” to help them a little… eheh! Having tasted all three first courses, I can say that the skill of those who work in the kitchen is truly exceptional! Congratulations! To finish, my wife and I shared a second course. We were very pleased to receive the dish already divided into two plates. The extremely professional and kind service is another strong point of this restaurant. In total, we spent 97 euros (so about 32 euros per person). We did not have dessert or coffee because we were full and satisfied. In the end, the expense was more than acceptable and I have rarely been so happy after paying the bill. We will definitely return every now and then to be lulled and spoiled with such quality.

11/06/2025: Just left my son's class dinner. In addition to the 60 of us there were other tables of friends and families, since it was Tuesday I have confirmation that the quality is high and well known in the area. Excellent food, fantastic service. We had dinner outside in the garden where the children could play in total tranquility and we parents and teachers chatted peacefully. Fantastic place, welcoming staff.... And I was delighted to know that it was in this very place that a great story of our literary culture was written, Place and food absolutely to try again.

02/06/2025: I had given two stars a month ago because I wasn't crazy about it and I went back to give it a second chance but it went worse than before. Unfortunately both the croissant from last time and the fruit basket this time were terrible. The cappuccino was good but unfortunately the cream had a bad taste and the fruit tasted like nothing. And on top of that the price was definitely too high.. I'm going down to one star and I don't think I'll go back..

14/06/2025: Fuimos a cenar a Carmignano y paramos en la Antica Torre. Experiencia excepcional. Teníamos: Crostini con tomates, pesto hecho de guisantes y hummus. Delicioso entrante. Plato principal: lingüine al doppio gambero, calabacín, menta e limone y el risotto con crema de calabacín, fonduta di pecorino, noci tostate, salsiccia e erbe aromatiche. También probé el carpaccio di spigola con crema de aguacate. Todo era excepcional. El postre, granita de limón casera, delicioso. Teníamos una botella de blanco. Nos quedamos impresionados por la excelente cocina y el cuidado en el servicio. Buen trabajo chicos.

11/07/2025: The perfect setting when you're looking for some relief from the summer heat, with a lovely terrace overlooking the valley. The interior is very charming and well-appointed. The menu offers a limited number of dishes, but all are unique, carefully presented, and delicious. And above all, they're reasonably priced. A nice wine list with unique and unusual labels. The desserts are also very good. A special mention for the fried flowers we ordered as a pre-starter before ordering the rest is that they were delivered within minutes: they were incredibly light and not at all greasy. You could have eaten a whole load of them. Then we had celery meatballs and tartare, and for the second course, fried Dell'Aia, Chianti tuna, duck gnocchi, and wild boar macaroni. To finish, baked pears with mascarpone and torta della nonna. Coffee, grappa, and vermouth, and two bottles of wine, the first of which was a truly remarkable Verdicchio Riserva, paired with everything. Cost: €50. Excellent value.
