08/06/2025: Stopped here on a motor trip with friends. Beautiful villa, top location, and super friendly staff. Enjoyed a refreshing swim in the afternoon and a great dinner on the terrace with excellent service.

31/05/2025: Every day at 8 a.m., and sometimes even in the evening, a leaf blower is used for at least half an hour. It's extremely annoying, especially since the area is otherwise very quiet. Why can't they just use a broom? We won't be back.

24/10/2025: Excellent products and authentic ingredients. Exquisite Abetone blueberries. Local chestnut flavor, out of this world. Caramelized figs and ricotta, wow.

26/09/2025: I order an ice cream 15 minutes before closing time and they serve me almost melted ice cream. When I ask for an explanation, the girl who works there tells me it's normal, because they turn off the refrigerator before closing time, which means the ice cream thaws. I ask the owner: Are you aware that this causes the product to undergo temperature fluctuations and become infected with unhealthy bacteria?

19/10/2025: The location and service were top-notch. However, the bathroom had mold on the ceiling, walls, and shower. The fixtures were falling off.

04/10/2025: Very tasty, fast service. The place is nice, we got a table in the closed courtyard. We didn't reserve in advance, but it's better to reserve. It's a popular place, and for good reason. We weren't hungry, so we stopped in for a drink. We had an Aperol, but ended up getting pizza and a Milanese schnitzel, which were very tasty. The hostess was friendly. We were satisfied.

18/05/2025: It's my historic restaurant. I've been going there for over 30 years. When it was on Via Empolese, it was called Trattoria da Osvaldo, and I remember it being a must-visit for truck drivers. You can imagine the cuisine and the quality/quantity of the portions—basically, it perfectly embodies the phrase "typical Tuscan cuisine." The ragù has now become a must-try for my children, too, and I take them there regularly. The dishes are essentially simple, but just like grandmas used to make on Sunday lunch. They also make delicious pizzas for takeout. Il Portico wouldn't be a world without it!

07/08/2025: When we arrived at the entrance, the staff seemed surprised. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a seat outside because apparently everything was full/reserved. During the time we were there, only one other unregistered Russian-speaking group of three arrived, who were welcome to sit outside. (We barely speak it, but we can understand it very well.) Otherwise, all the tables were empty. Sorry, but that's unacceptable... Shashlik only available by reservation and only on Saturdays?! At least, that's the explanation we were given. It wasn't clear to us on the menu or online. The pilemeni and vareniki were delicious. The portions, however, were a bit small.

13/11/2025: We've been regulars for dinner for two years, from late October to early November. The dishes are delicious, from pasta to pizza, including desserts. This year I also tried the exceptional fish dishes!!! I definitely recommend it; the place is beautiful, and the staff is helpful, kind, friendly, and very well-trained.
