20/05/2026: One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The place has a sea view... the staff is excellent, polite, and welcoming. I highly recommend it. I've been there several times! The carbonara pizza is surreal.

30/08/2025: The pizza itself was good, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. We had to wait around 50 minutes for our pizzas, and one of them was even served together with the starter, so by the time it was eaten, it was already cold. When the staff asked how the service was, I politely explained the long wait and the issue with the timing of the dishes. Instead of apologizing or showing understanding, the family running the place told me to “chill out” and dismissed my feedback. I wasn’t asking for a discount or making a scene; I simply answered honestly when asked. I found their attitude extremely rude and unprofessional.

05/08/2026: The bar is right on the beach, but unfortunately, that's where the positive aspects end. The service, especially from the manager, was extremely unfriendly (especially for families). When asked if we could try a wine (before buying a bottle), the answer was a clear "NO!" Expensive drinks, no Italian hospitality, and a decor lacking any attention to detail. It has so much potential, but the manager is simply too set in his ways. Definitely not recommended for families!

04/05/2026: We stopped at this bar/restaurant for a quick bite since we were in the area, and thankfully we only stopped for an aperitivo. It's a nice place in the center of Populonia, with both indoor (few seats) and outdoor seating. Having only had an aperitivo, I can't say much, but the service wasn't the best; the staff were bickering, pushy, and unpleasant. The bill, of course, was a no-brainer: €2.50 for a coffee is unthinkable in my opinion. A small platter, bread, two glasses of prosecco, and a coffee came to €42.

08/12/2025: Booked on Saturday morning for the evening with a 20% discount. A menu featuring Apulian and Campanian cuisine. For two, we had an appetizer with cured meats and products from Tuscany, Puglia, and Calabria, dairy products (smoked burrata and treccia) that weren't very fresh and flavorless, average oil-packed cured meats, and pre-packaged cured meats. All accompanied by puccia, fried pasta, and fritters. Priced at €20 (I'd say high). Followed by two well-filled Apulian pucce. Two local craft beers (cans) and a bottle of water. Service was quick and efficient (we were the first ones in). The restaurant is cute and well-decorated in a style reminiscent of Puglia, located in the Venezia neighborhood. I'd say it was a sufficient dinner, but the price for an appetizer and two pucce is steep: €60! On the downside, we left smelling of fried food!

09/08/2026: I think it's the best restaurant I've ever had. Despite having 4-star reviews, we wanted to try it. We had two appetizers and two first courses with water and a glass of Franciacorta. We spent about €150, but believe me, I'd return a thousand times over. The fresh fish they offer is hard to find anywhere else, the customer service is top-notch, and the octopus, in my case, was super fresh and tasty. Not to mention the spaghetti with lobster, which was very good, if not exceptional. I've never eaten so good in my entire life. It will remain our go-to restaurant for when we return to Elba.

07/08/2026: Unfortunately, three out of four dishes didn't taste like much, but the worst part was the rudeness and listlessness of the entire staff. The dining room was completely disorganized. The view is beautiful, but it's not worth the trip up the hill on those extremely difficult roads for driving.

03/08/2026: Ordered takeout. Compared to the previous management, the sandwiches are small (McDonald's are larger). Fries are paid separately and are very expensive. Delivered cold, 40 minutes late. The quality of the sandwich itself isn't bad, but everything else is wrong. Lost a customer.

02/08/2026: In my opinion, these are the best Smash Burgers in Livorno! Excellent quality and top-notch flavor. The only flaw was the blonde cashier who constantly scolded a waitress for everything, which isn't nice in front of customers.

18/04/2026: A home-like experience! It's nice to go to a place where you feel comfortable. No intimidation, just a lot of friendliness. The food was truly delicious. Truly remarkable traditional dishes. Generous portions. We were two couples of friends. We had four appetizers to share, a first or second course, four coffees, three desserts (exquisite tiramisu), two bottles of water (mineral/sparkling), and a half-liter of sparkling white wine. We spent €120. There's no specific menu, and I didn't see the prices of the dishes, and even though the selections were varied, that helped make it fun. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. We went there by chance, but maybe not. I'd gladly go back.

16/07/2026: Excellent pizzas. Light dough, top-quality ingredients that are perceived by the sight and taste. Excellent homemade desserts. The service is quite quick, the staff is welcoming, the "location" is situated in a historic square, with a view of ancient houses. Recommended.

02/05/2026: The food was acceptable, nothing exceptional, but okay. I found some dishes, like the €15 seafood salad, to be expensive for what they are. What disappointed me most was having to pay for a cover charge in a place with no table service; you have to set the table yourself and go get your plates (which is fine, as long as you don't pay for that service).

05/07/2026: Today, when I entered this bar for a coffee, I said hello to the person behind the counter, but barely got a nod in response. While she was refilling the glasses, after a moment, she asked me what I wanted to order. I drank my coffee, paid, and when I said goodbye to leave, I received no response. I wonder if good manners are seen as optional in this place.
