21/10/2024: Situato nel bel paesino di Poggio, frazione di Marciana, nell’entroterra Elbano. Ci siamo stati due volte durante la nostra vacanza a Sant’Andrea e ciò già fa intendere che ci siamo trovati bene. Bel terrazzino con pochi tavoli e vista sulla piazzetta del paese. La tovaglietta in carta descrive in parte i vari piatti. Menù ricco con cucina ligure ed Elbana. Abbiamo provato diversi piatti. Squisiti gli spaghetti con acciughe fresche,olive, capperi, pinoli,uvetta, così come l’insalata di sarde alla griglia. Ottima la zuppetta di totani in zimino e il Fritto misto di acciughe e baccalà. Nella norma la Torta al cioccolato della casa. Atmosfera rilassante. Cameriere e titolare cordiali e pazienti. Un pochino lunghi i tempi del servizio. Prezzi inferiori alla media del luogo. Parcheggio a pagamento fino alle ore 20 lungo la strada.

03/10/2024: Andiamo da anni a questo ristorante, ottimi i piatti, sia di mare che di terra, ottimo rapporto qualità / prezzo, disponibile il personale e arredi vintage molto carini, con vista sul mare. Un riferimento fisso all'Elba, anche per chi non abbia alloggio nelle vicinanze: ne vale la pena.

10/05/2025: Hidden among the nature of Montenero, L'Ingrediente Perduto is much more than a home restaurant: it is an experience. The appetizer with homemade Schiacciata and cold cuts are spectacular. The ravioli were good (but perhaps the weakest dish on the menu) and then the grill with really good potatoes. Normally sweet. But the real protagonist of everything is the homemade bread. If you don't go you'll never know how good it is. Top service, and wonderful location. Definitely worth the trip.

05/03/2025: Passiamo per prenotare due 5&5 e altre cose, la signora dice che non prendono ordinazioni... passate direttamente dopo! Passiamo dopo ha finito tutto!!! Peccato perché la torta è pure buona, ma la prenderò altrove....

16/02/2025: One of the few Labronica pizzerias that is still old-fashioned. Cake 5 and 5 pan pizza made as in the past. Few ingredients, great result. French bread baked in the oven, greasy aubergines, crunchy cake on the outside, soft on the inside. I don't want to say it's the best but the only one that reminds me of my youth. And then there's a beautiful lady who calls me baby! Perfect for those looking for old flavours, not recommended for those with a bad nose. The most beautiful thing? the shared tables, where you can turn off your smartphone and start a conversation with your fellow diners. Because we know... it takes a Livornese lira to make him talk, but 1000 to make him quiet...

29/05/2025: A place with a typical Italian atmosphere, close to a busy street but you can sit inside or outside. Very good service, delicious pizza, coffee and regional beer. Very affordable prices. The owner takes care of his guests. Worth a visit, I recommend 👍

26/05/2025: Als je op vakantie bent op Elba , dan kun je niet wachten dat je een pizza gaat eten bij Claudio en Mirjam van pizzeria Mistral in Cavo . De pizza's zijn heerlijk. Wij komen zeker weer terug Marcel en Trijnie

24/05/2025: Era da un po' di tempo che non tornavo al Mistral Cafè, e ho deciso con mio figlio di andare al Cavo in barca, da Piombino. Se aprile è 'il mese più crudele' (cit.) , maggio è il mese più dolce e colorato per godersi l'isola d'Elba. Appena seduti ai coloratissimi tavoli del Mistral Cafè, accarezzati da un dolce maestrale che pareva spirare da un celebre quadro di Botticelli, eravamo già in vacanza. Seduti a pochi passi dall' acqua, con la barca a vista e la veduta del canale di Piombino, la Manica 'de noantri' 😁. Siamo stati accolti da una ragazza garbata e dal portamento elegante, che ci ha offerto una piccola e gustosa bruschetta di benvenuto. Dopo una breve attesa sono arrivate le straordinarie pizze di Claudio, una Juorno buono per me , mentre per mio figlio una Nicola's dal sapore squisito e dal nome che ricorda il sorriso gentile di una persona speciale . C'è poco da dire, le pizze del Mistral sono davvero speciali; ogni volta mi chiedo quanto influisca nel giudizio il clima generale di questi minuscolo locale di questa frazione remota dell'Elba. Ma non trovo la risposta. Può darsi che la stessa pizza sia ugualmente buona altrove, oppure che, come si dice, certi vini perdono il loro sapore se gustati fuori del loro 'terroir'. Certo che la magia di Maggio non la troverete in Agosto, ma a Cavo gran baldoria non c'è mai. Da terra si arriva a Cavo dopo una strada spettacolare, soprattutto per i biker (e Claudio lo è...) Quanto costa? Le pizze non sono economiche (per quanto cara possa essere una pizza!) ; grosso modo quanto Sorbillo Gourmet a Milano Duomo. C'è gara tra i due nell' esperienza complessiva? Si va ai rigori e, per me, Mistral Cafè vince 😉

15/04/2025: Passing through Livorno. We bought 3 pizzas to take away last night, we were not disappointed at all. Very warm welcome, fast service, very good pizzas cooked over a wood fire, reasonable price, we had a great time. I recommend this pizzeria.

17/06/2025: Actually quite good, especially if you're looking for a restaurant at lunch that also serves pizza for kids (restaurant, not a snack bar). Spaghetti Scoglio was very tasty. A good portion. Unfortunately, the service could have been improved. One drink was completely forgotten, and the kids' pizza couldn't be shared between two plates. Only one stressed-out server, despite the restaurant being packed.
