03/09/2024: It is definitely not a place for tourists as most of the customers who entered were well known to the managers. I already believe this is a guarantee of quality...the satisfied customer comes back. We didn't go there by chance, but we were looking for a place to stop for lunch that wasn't the usual tourist place. I must say that all the positive reviews immediately convinced us. We tasted the potato tortelli seasoned some with lampredotto sauce and some with wild boar sauce. Having never eaten lampredotto, they explained to me what it consisted of and how it was cooked. I must say both the tortelli made by them and the sauces are a real delight for the palate. We then had some grilled vegetables and a mixed salad. Together with the bread we were served some very good focaccia made by them. The portions were generous, but given the goodness we didn't leave any leftovers. Surely if we pass through those parts again we will return to this place to try their other dishes. A special thank you to the young Mirco who, with patience, friendliness and an excellent knowledge of the dishes, accompanied us in the choice without being intrusive. The service was fast and without unnecessary waiting even though the place quickly filled up after our arrival.

27/08/2024: Good experience in this very popular restaurant. Once the wait for the table was over (it is advisable to book) lunch was pleasant, al fresco, with good food and really fair prices. Excellent cured meats. Good cut. Excellent cantucci with vino santo. Good coffee.

08/08/2024: There were 2 of us, we asked for the best meat, we were advised on the Angus, they asked us how it was cooked, they then did it as they wanted, very normal meat if it weren't for the price, 97 euros for 2 ribs, cured meats in plain sight outside from the fridge, at the mercy of flies and all the people who pass by, moral if you spend 150 euros for 2 it must be a top restaurant

10/08/2024: Excellent stop just outside the Barberino del Mugello toll booth. Even in the middle of August without booking a place for 4. Excellent food. Fair prices (3 fantastic first courses, 1 second course, 3 side dishes, wine, water and coffee) 70 euros. For those who want grilled meat.

23/08/2024: I am a fairly regular visitor to the pizzeria because I am celiac, and unfortunately I have to note that the prices have increased significantly for some time. We went with 4 friends for dinner and the result was extremely disproportionate. It is not fair to pay 9.00 for a gluten-free beer, 8.00 for a very small slice of gluten-free dessert, 15.50 for a gluten-free pizza, 20.00 for a modest fried fish......gentlemen, we are not there. Being celiac is a disease, not a virtue.

27/08/2024: A real gem of a restaurant! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Madame, and the experience only got better with each course. If you are lucky enough to book for 7 p.m., you could even witness the arrival of the traceur delivering fresh products, directly from their own harvest in the village. It's a family business where you feel the passion for local products, and they even sell their vegetables. We feel like we're coming to eat at our grandparents' house. We started with an antipasto with ham, cheese and fried dough – delicious! The pasta and meat that followed were also excellent. The only downside for us was the fried pigeon, but that remains a matter of taste. In summary, a culinary experience not to be missed if you are in the area!

15/08/2024: Excellent quality, you can feel the Tuscan spirit in every dish. Characteristic environment! Wild boar is recommended.

24/08/2024: Excellent food, tasty, good portions, delicious wine (we took ravioli with truffle, tagliata with truffle, desserts, antipasti: muchello cheese and soft cheese) excellent service (the hostess runs around and serves with all her heart). I recommend 👍

17/08/2024: Small, unpretentious family-run restaurant. We had lunch with two good and abundant first courses. Nearby tables were served steaks and cuts which looked decidedly inviting. Excellent value for money.

12/08/2024: Business dinner, good meat and potatoes, crostini as well, we ate 1 Tuscan crostini to divide into 2 a steak from which we obtained 2 medium cuts 1 baked potato 1 quarter of Chianti 1 liter of water and 1 mascarpone 2 coffees €110 slightly expensive in my opinion

12/08/2024: Ok it's a passing place. Ok, you can eat well while spending the right amount. But those at the checkout were shouting at the waiters bordering on swearing, complaining about too much comfort and that there was a queue. Maybe they think it's folklore. But it's just very unpleasant as business is booming. There are other places to stop if you're on the highway around here.

30/07/2024: Appena tornato da un pranzo ottimo. Un assaggio di pappa al pomodoro e poi un tris di primi ad ora tarda a pranzo composto dalla pasta lorda che è piatto antico e squisito, tortelli di patate e tagliatelle ai funghi. Amaro della casa, cantucci e vin santo. Tutto sopraffino e un servizio caldo e accogliente. Da vegetariano mi sono trovato benissimo, il locale ha una bella terrazza estiva e all'interno è storico, bello, toscanissimo e, soprattutto, autentico. È stata la prima volta su consiglio di un amico ma sarà la prima di una lunga serie.

24/07/2024: O melhor restaurante que já comi na vida. Atendimento é feito com tanto carinho e atenção que me parece que estou em casa. Não deixe de provar a nuvola com mortadela e pistache. Comi coelho e estava incrível. Para terminar uma crostata de ricota de pecora, ah e o vinho santo que não pode faltar. Este restaurante tem uma memória afetiva muito grande para mim, mas sem a atmosfera e o carinho que somos recebidos nada disso teria o mesmo sabor!

14/07/2024: Chalet con tetto in travi di legno tra gli alberi di Barberino del Mugello. Servizio buono, cameriere gentilissime. Ottimi i crostini al fegato. Ottima bistecca alla fiorentina, bel taglio e cotta come si deve. I prezzi sono in linea con i tempi attuali. Da ritornarci se si passa da questa parte di Appennino. Buon appetito a tutti.

08/08/2024: This restaurant is highly recommended! It is a very nice location, the food is delicious and for a good price. The staff is very friendly! After dinner we had a nice chat with a man, he enthusiastically explained that it was a family business and we also received limoncello on the house. The chardonnay here is also highly recommended! We immediately took two bottles with us to take home. (The bottle of chardonnay is cheaper in the restaurant than if you buy it in the Netherlands)

Splendid location, wonderful staff, kind, friendly, super welcoming and helpful, owner truly professional and attentive to satisfying customers with advice and explanations, with a truly respectful and friendly attitude. Exquisite food and a more than honest bill. We recommend it without hesitation and hope to be able to return soon!
