29/07/2025: What was meant to be a relaxed dinner turned into a test of patience, hunger, and basic human decency. We arrived at a packed restaurant, clearly popular with locals. It was loud — very loud — with harsh fluorescent lighting and a tented setup that killed any chance of atmosphere. Still, we sat down, hopeful. That didn’t last long. Fifteen minutes went by. No one came to the table. We flagged someone down — not the person taking orders, just one of the runners. Thankfully, they managed to bring us water. But placing an order? That was a different matter. There was only one person actually taking orders for the entire terrace, and it took 40 minutes before she reached us. When we pointed out how long we had waited, she replied with attitude and insisted we hadn’t been waiting that long. A real professional touch. In the meantime, I drank over two liters of water. Not out of thirst — out of sheer boredom and frustration. Eventually, nature called. The restroom? Let’s just say the floor had a noticeable film on it. What exactly it was, I’d rather not know. There were no paper towels. Not even the bare minimum was covered. Back at the table, more waiting. Another 40 minutes passed. No bread. No olives. Nothing. Just more tables around us being served — guests who had arrived well after we did. Then, finally, my daughter’s pizza came. Ours didn’t. Ten more minutes. Only when I stood up and asked to cancel our food did the rest arrive. To be fair: the food wasn’t cold. It just wasn’t worth the wait. My daughter, overtired and with a bellyache, couldn’t finish her meal. I had lost my appetite altogether. The waiter then offered us dessert or wine — a nice gesture, but completely misjudged. We were barely upright, not in the mood to be charmed or compensated with sugar or alcohol. They gave us a 6 € discount, which honestly felt more like mockery than an apology. Two hours after arriving, we left — tired, disappointed, and still hungry for a decent experience. The wine list? Uninspiring. Cheap-sounding bottles that didn’t make you want to try a single one. The ambiance? A tent full of noise, harsh lighting, and zero charm. The service? Overwhelmed and defensive. There are too many good places to eat. This isn’t one of them.

07/06/2025: Zelcan pizzeria is a real gem! The pizza is delicious, light and full of flavor, with fresh and selected ingredients. The environment is welcoming, but the real added value is the owner: friendly, courteous and always smiling. You can see that he puts passion into it. Locale elegante e informale allo stesso tempo, un luogo dove poter godere di un'ottima cucina e rilassarsi lasciandosi alle spalle la pretenziosità, circondati dal buon gusto. Lo staff gentilissimo e attento, sempre sorridente e disponibile. Complimenti agli chef che ci hanno deliziato con esplosioni di sapori che ancora ci accompagnano. Il cubo di tonno con batata dolce, fonduta di Ragusano DOP e olio al basilico un connubio perfetto di sapori che avvolgono il palato e regalano un esperienza culinaria unica. Lo spaghettone secco con burro acido, limone candito e bottarga di tonno strepitoso, un equilibrio perfettamente bilanciato che regala un'emozione golosa e raffinata. E ancora lo sgombro croccante con vastedda del Belice, salsa al miele e cedro e lattuga brasata, panatura da oscar e sapori nuovi e antichi al contempo. Il calamaro con estratto di caponata, croccante di riso nero e melanzana affumicata, in cui non solo ogni singolo sapore è esaltato, ma in cui il palato viene accompagnato a riconoscere ogni singolo ingrediente della composizione. E tanto altro ancora... Piatti pensati e realizzati con passione autentica e intelligenza gastronomica. Insomma un luogo del cuore per chi ama mangiare bene e ama immergersi nell'essenza dei sapori, in un ambiente curato ma mai artefatto e impostato, dove il cibo parla e racconta, e chi lo serve lo fa con calore e competenza.

20/06/2025: We have been to this beach and the experience was really pleasant! The staff is extremely kind and always available, we felt welcomed from the first moment. The environment is simple but very well-kept, welcoming and perfect for relaxing. The prices are definitely honest, in fact, lower than the average of the area, which makes everything even more appreciable. The beach is really beautiful with fine sand and clean sea: a small corner of tranquility where you can spend a day in total relaxation. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!
