08/02/2026: the service is kind and they listen to requests and bring things very quickly the quality of the sushi is very good and the same goes for the cooked things they have always been 5 stars for me but today I have to give them 3 because the service is slow we arrived around 1.30pm and still half of the sushi has not arrived but I hope it is only for today
31/01/2026: Nice place, good food, and good-quality fish. Maybe a few less dishes than usual, but overall, everything was excellent.

25/07/2025: This was my first experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant. I'd been obsessed for a while with trying something different and satisfying my curiosity about this type of cuisine. I can say we were very satisfied with both the quality, flavors, and the quantity. Since it was our first time, we chose the menu with 6 half portions (plus entree and small pastries) that you see in the photo. And let's just say they're not very HALF portions, because you still eat well!
I think the price is absolutely right for the service and quality.
We also had a tasting of 4 wines (a bit demanding for someone like me who drinks a glass with dinner) with the entire meal, and I think it's essential to fully savor the whole meal!
We'd love to return, but I'd eat à la carte to try some special dishes not on this menu! Definitely worth a try!

28/02/2026: We booked at 9 pm and arrived, and the table was reserved. After 25 minutes, they told us they were only serving pizza because "they closed the kitchen to give priority to the pizzeria." When we complained, they told us they could feed us (thank you, you're a restaurant and as such accepted the reservation) from the kitchen after another 30 minutes. Although annoyed, we decided to wait. The waitress told us, due to the poor service, that they would have offered us two mixed fried dishes (olives, fries, and croquettes for 7) while we waited, and at 9:55 pm, they only brought one (a single plate with 3 olives, 3 croquettes, and a handful of fries...). We pointed out that we were waiting for two and that we would have paid them anyway, and they replied that that measly plate was two...
We got up and left, and they charged us 50 euros, including the fried food they didn't bring, and the cover charge, without even apologizing for what had happened. Dignity can't be bought with 50 euros, but shame can.
Furthermore, that evening they declared a no-show on the website we booked through so as not to pay their fee and receive a review...
Truly speechless...
Reply February 16th: We didn't ask for anything. We were told by you that you were offering us compensation for the inconvenience and for telling people who were there to relax and enjoy your highly publicized signature dishes that you only wanted to give us pizza on Valentine's Day. This was an objectively obvious inconvenience, but you then charged us even more than what you gave us. Out of respect for those who always work, but for those who work honestly and correctly with expertise in what they do. For you, only the hope that you reap what you sow.
Question? Why don't you mention the cancellation you made on the website we booked through? What are you, the restaurant that if you book with the popular app (and by the way, we use it to find new locations, including yours, not for the discount)
raises prices to break even?!
Don't answer anymore, because in addition to the shame you are making yourself ridiculous, and be thankful that I was in company because otherwise we would have been there talking to the finance. Good life, unworthy ones.
18/02/2026: A nice and very popular place; you can tell the pizzeria is busy and there's a lot of demand (they do a lot of takeout). Precisely for this reason, however, what happened is difficult to accept in terms of management and customer service.
We had a reservation for seven people through TheFork.
Upon arrival, after waiting quite a while for someone to come and take us, we were told that that evening they were only doing pizza and no kitchen/menu, due to too many requests. We explained that we had come from far away to try their dishes and that, if necessary, we could wait.
The waitress spoke with the owner (who was at the bakery churning out pizzas nonstop) and returned, saying that it was fine, but that there would be a wait of at least a good half hour.
It can happen on a busy evening, but it should have been communicated in advance; alternatively, if you can't manage both the dining room and takeout, you should limit reservations and not pass the problem on to your customers.
The point is, a restaurant can't go astray: if the person in charge stands by the oven making pizzas and the dining room is left unsupervised, that's exactly what happens. It's like a ship's captain spending the evening tightening screws in the engine room. The engine may run smoothly, but a ship without a guide will eventually crash.
During the (interminable) wait, we saw large plates being passed around the tables, and to pass the time, we ordered two portions of fried food. The dish arrived minimal, scant, and completely out of proportion for a table of seven, and above all, far removed from what we saw served to the others. From our experience, we felt like we were being treated "differently" because we had booked with TheFork: second-class customers only because we had a discount.
As time passed without a resolution, when we asked for clarification on the portions, we were told that "they were correct" (when, objectively, we had just seen very different portions being passed around to the other tables). At that point, we decided to leave. At the cashier, the waitress was first blamed, then the owner was called (who had gotten over the red-flag moment with the pizzas), but nothing changed. And we were still presented with a €50 bill, even though we hadn't eaten anything except those two mini portions.
Furthermore, on The Fork, the reservation was changed/cancelled, going from 7 people to 1.
I'd like to close with a basic point for the owner and his staff: it's not one bad night that ruins a restaurant, but how you handle the unexpected and treat people. Business may be good, but trust can be lost in an instant. And it's unfortunate to say, but this experience had nothing to do with the famous Sicilian hospitality: not because of Sicily (which is a wonderful land), but because of how we were treated.
There's no shortage of work, what's lacking is the ability to treat those who come in well.

Modica Beach Resort Restaurant- Le Spiagge

- The beach was really good and clean
- Room was very clean
Cons:
- No internet in the room (!)
- Broken amenities in the room
- Check-in only available in Italian
- Booked a triple room and got a twin room
- Extra charge for everything that was available
- Poor breakfast; if something was missing, it never came back
- Very poor coffee quality - Coffee machines (you can get better ones for a fee)
- Spa for an additional charge
- Parking always full
- First row of beach seats for an additional charge in October
- There's actually nothing nearby, so choosing that without a car is pointless
11/10/2025: We stayed at the
Modica Beach Resort during the off-season.
Since we travel a lot, we read some reviews this time, which are generally quite positive.
We don't know what it's like in the high season, so we obviously can't speak for that period.
First, the location: The hotel is truly in an absolutely wonderful location, right on the beach. It truly deserves 5 stars. The fact that the waves were quite high the first few days and it was almost impossible to get into the water isn't anyone's fault. The last few days, the sea was absolutely calm and it couldn't have been better.
The rooms: We had a deluxe room facing the garden. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. The garden was an absolute joke and the hedge was so high that you couldn't see the open space behind it. There would have been room for a larger garden with a low hedge without any problems.
I would give it 3 points for cleanliness. It was more of a quick fix than clean.
The TV didn't have any German channels, and the smart TV didn't work at all. No stable WiFi connection.
Now, the food. If you're looking for good Italian cuisine, you've come to the wrong place.
The room is really coldly lit and extremely uncomfortable.
The breakfast is pretty monotonous.
Canned and unpeeled fruit. There's no variety of cold cuts. Endless sweets...but those with a sweet tooth will probably still find something to their liking.
The coffee shouldn't be called coffee; it's more like dishwater than coffee.
You can buy "real" coffee on site if you like.
The dinner is an absolute disaster...we were wondering if the chef was on vacation and that's why we've read some positive reviews about the food.
Everything is more or less tasteless and completely uninspiring. A real shame, since Italy is actually one of the countries with good cuisine.
All in all, we can say the location is great, the food is a flop.

01/10/2025: What a gem this bar in Modica is! 🌟 As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a smile and a welcoming atmosphere, meticulously maintained.
The desserts are irresistible and made with fresh, quality ingredients and all the authentic flavor of Sicilian tradition. Every bite was a little surprise that won me over from the first moment.
But the real star is the granita: simply exceptional! Creamy, fresh, full of flavor... one of the best I've ever had.
The staff is exceptionally kind, always attentive and available to recommend the best. It's one of those places that makes you want to return again and again.
If you're in Modica, stop here: you won't regret it!

09/11/2025: The ice cream is definitely delicious, and the presentation is lovely, with printed paper cones for the cones, colorful boxes for the brioche with Tuppo, and pretty tins for larger purchases.
They even have compostable spoons made of bioplastic – exemplary!
However, I think the slogan "Number 1 in Italy" is a gross exaggeration and a bit presumptuous, as I've definitely had better ice cream in Sicily.
There are also gelaterias with a much wider selection and more interesting flavors.
Sicily is diverse!

02/08/2025: Effettivamente i sapori li hanno persi tutti. Pessima esperienza, non torneremo mai più. Piatti insulsi e distanti dalla tradizione, sostanzialmente immangiabili. Una vera delusione, il peggior ristorante di Modica, nulla di ciò che abbiamo mangiato somigliava neppure lontanamente ai piatti della tradizione. Vivamente sconsigliato

13/03/2026: An excellent seafood dining experience. This recently renovated trattoria, founded in the 1960s, offers hearty seafood dishes. The raw fish and grilled fish (now white sea bream and red mullet) are excellent. Fair prices.
17/01/2026: You can't call it a restaurant where you serve defrosted products taken out of the packaging and placed haphazardly on a plate with washing residues (see residues of abrasive sponge) without the consideration of the waitress/waiter who served us at the table in record time for a lunch that should have realized it lasted about 20 minutes, we wanted to cut it short, overpay and leave and never return, we are very sorry but it was a very bad experience

I saw truly interesting and well-prepared dishes served.
I had an appetizer of roasted artichokes and mushrooms, cooked to perfection and very tasty. A 1kg steak was cooked to perfection, and a simple but truly flavorful orange salad complemented the delicious meat. All accompanied by a bottle of wine from the Donnafugata cellars.
An excellent experience.
