01/03/2025: Amazing! Some of the best food we’ve eaten in Sicily. DEFINITELY the best food we’ve eaten in Taormina. The fried mackerel was fresh, simple and delicious. The orange slices were perfect with it. Super generous portion. The nduja pasta was unreal! I could eat it every week! Sooooo flavourful and delicious! The pasta was so fresh and the perfect texture. And, it was SO nice to have some spice in Sicily. The lamb shank looked very simple, but it was soooo delicious! Sitting in a shallow but deeply flavoured, beautiful broth. Again - I could eat this weekly! The wine was excellent! Found 2 new favourite reds. It was busy, but service was 10/10. Everyone was super lovely, attentive and had great energy. The restaurant (split across two buildings) itself is adorable and in a lovely, intimate location. The outside seating area feels very cute and romantic. I think when we return we might try and eat here most nights! It was the only place we ate that didn’t feel as though flavours were tailored to basic European tourist palates. I PRAY the vanilla TikTok influencers don’t discover this one and turn it into a content spot. 100% recommend.

03/02/2025: On a rainy and winter evening we found a welcoming table, excellent food, refined and delicious wine (Sciare Vive Carricante), chat and the company (with sharing of the dishes that came out of the kitchen for them) of the wonderful owners. Unforgettable.

05/01/2025: Nos alojamos en la exquisita ciudad de Taormina, y deambulamos por allí. El chef es excelente, y la comida fue realmente memorable. ¡La pieza de resistencia fue el mejor cannoli siciliano que hemos probado! Fue una revelación y estableció un estándar al que nunca se podrá volver a acercar.

01/01/2025: Excelente restaurante en el centro de Taormina. La comida deliciosa, tanto los entrantes (probamos el pulpo que estaba delicioso). La pasta, el pescado y las carnes espectaculares. Los postres deliciosos. El servicio excelente y el ambiente tranquilo. Muy recomendable.

11/12/2024: Otto Geleng realmente merece su estrella Michelin! El servicio fue impecable. La comida era deliciosa, sabrosa, muy bien presentada. Excelente tamaño de porción para una degustación del chef, y el momento perfecto del plato. Maridaje de vinos igualmente fantástico. Recomiendo encarecidamente la experiencia y me encantaría hacerlo de nuevo si volvemos a Taormina.

28/11/2024: Elegante, bonito, ideal para cenar en pareja. Nos hospedamos en el hotel y hemos optado por cenar aquí por su situación. Las vistas son idílicas, el servicio muy bueno y el menu muy correcto.

26/10/2024: Hors de prix et surfait ! Surcoût de 4 euros par personne si vous n’êtes pas clients de l’hôtel et extra de 180 euros pour accès à la piscine du restaurant !!!! A fuir!

30/10/2024: Just great for us, food was fun and interesting (and tasted very good of course). Location amazing, garden-like. Waitress spoke great English, was very helpful and knowledgeable, grazie mille!

12/10/2024: Out of the confusion of the street, away from the trajectories of cruises. Splendid terrace, quiet and isolated. Friendly service and real food. For those trying to stay away from frozen and reheated products but looking for local flavours.

25/01/2025: Terrazza stupenda davanti al duomo; servizio ottimo, inaccettabile che in un locale del genere si serva un secondo di pesce di qualità piuttosto scadente. Peccato perché sia l’antipasto che il primo erano ottimi.

06/01/2025: Il locale è veramente molto carino e l'atmosfera è molto intima e curata. la vista del duomo è decisamente un punto a favore. Rispetto al menù inserito su the fork siamo rimasti un po' delusi in quanto al momento dell'ordine nel menu cartaceo erano "spariti" tanti piatti che raccontano la cucina siciliana: sicuramente sarà stato buono ma avere uno stinco al Brunello mi è sembrato un po' fuori luogo.. abbiamo preso: l'antipasto Sicilia nel piatto e gli involtini di pesce spada che erano entrambi veramente ottimi, la carbonara di tonno invece è stata deludente perché con la panna e anche l'alalunga di secondo era ottima come materia prima ma portata un po' troppo cotta.. servizio cordiale, gentile e non invadente, giustificato il prezzo del coperto per l'assaggio dell'olio a inizio pasto, consiglio però di rivedere un po' i prezzi dei vini perché decisamente ricaricati.. è stata comunque una bella esperienza, lo sconto ci è stato applicato e sicuramente gli daremo una nuova opportunità.

13/02/2025: When describing Taormina, rock legend Jim Kerr quoted on the Villa Angela website,'I had been told that it was the most romantic place, that it was magical, that it belonged to another world altogether'. Well, I couldn't have said it better about his phenomenal hotel! We took a short taxi ride from the heart of Taormina. Being Scottish and from Glasgow we had heard Jim was the owner so felt compelled to support our fellow Scot and head up for a few drinks. When we stepped onto the terrace upon arrival, the views across Taormina and Mount Etna were breathtaking. No photo can do it justice! We sat for a few hours and watched the sunset across Etna with some friends we met from Liverpool. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the drinks were generous in volume (Scottish approved!). If you are travelling to Taormina, please visit this wonderful hotel to see it for yourself...it was mesmerising!

02/11/2024: Really wonderful stay at the Villa Angela. This hotel sits near the church and castle at the top of Taormina. As far as I can tell, there are no compromised views from any room, and the views are spectacular. We spent three nights in a standard double room and three in the Etna Suite. Unless you need the extra space, the view is about the same and the standard double is plenty big. The walk to and from Taormina is twenty minutes straight up and down, but the hotel has a shuttle that runs about every half hour, at a cost, but way less than a taxi. Service was above average and breakfast was probably the best we've had after ten weeks in Europe. The restaurant is good, but hit or miss if it's fully open in the evening. Just a side note, the hotel is owned by the front-man of the band Simple Minds for any of you kids of the eighties. Has to be one of the best hotels for the money in Taormina.

12/03/2025: Camminando per Taormina sul corso mi ha attirato l’entrata del ristorante e così siamo entrati a caso e abbiamo fatto la scelta giusta.piatti squisiti sopratutto sui primi…estetica molto bella e raffinata con vista …personale gentile .prezzi nel giusto . Merita.

07/03/2025: Nous nous sommes retrouvés par hasard dans ce restaurant et c’était une belle découverte. Calme et à l’abri du monde (et de la pluie). Les plats sont bons, certains plats sont chers mais vous pouvez trouver votre bonheur à des prix abordables. Le cadre est très sympas ce qui justifie ces tarifs. Ps: les lasagnes sont succulentes, Garfield se régalerait

27/11/2024: Un carissimo amico me ne ha parlato davvero bene, ed effettivamente anche parlando col proprietario si intuisce subito l'atmosfera accogliente e la grande passione che ci mette nella preparazione di splendide specialità del posto. Eccovi qua, per Vostra comodità una serie di specialità con cui potrete inebriare le Vostre insaziabili papille gustative. Partiamo ovviamente dagli Antipasti: tartare di gambero rosso di Mazara, crudo di mare, parmigiana di pesce spada,caponata Passiamo ai Primi: linguine all’ astice, tagliolini al tartufo nero dell’ Etna, spaghetti vongole. EccoVi le proposte di Secondi: orata , spigole, gamberoni di Mazara alla griglia, filetto di carne al nero d avola. Infine voilà i Dessert : crema di mascarpone e fragole, cannoli di ricotta. Direi che la proposta è davvero ampia, in grado di soddisfare anche i palati più esigenti! Non Vi resta che provare!! 😃

06/11/2024: Este fue un verdadero hallazgo (gracias Tripadvisor). Está escondido en una escalera de callejón muy estrecha, frente a la tienda Louis Vuitton - es tan estrecho que te lo perderías si no lo estuvieras buscando. Pero no parecen necesitar un miembro del personal que atraiga a la gente a diferencia de muchos de los otros restaurantes de la ciudad. El personal era muy amable y la comida en el restaurante de la azotea era excelente. Recomendado.

20/10/2024: Nos recomendaron este restaurante por nuestro hotel. Me alegro de haber venido. Es de gestión familiar, y por un callejón muy estrecho de la calle comercial principal. Definitivamente es un restaurante boca a boca. ¡Si lo sabes, lo sabes! Está arriba y hay algunos asientos afuera. Aunque nos sentamos dentro, ya que hacía bastante viento. El personal era encantador y explicó todas las especiales. La comida era irreal. Estábamos tan llenos, pero compartimos un pistacho tiramisú. Estoy muy contento de haberlo hecho. ¡Uno de los mejores postres que he comido! Si estás visitando Taormina, caza este lugar. Realmente no te arrepentirás.
