Trattoria da Nino In Taormina

The food was good, but it wasn't as impressive as we'd hoped. The service was pleasant but often wandered around the room. The table service fee was indeed too high.

Fantastic restaurant in Taormina with a long tradition. The food was phenomenal (so much so that I forgot to take a picture of anything other than our first course). The waiter was nice and split everything on two plates for us and brought the main dishes out as courses, as we ordered them to split. We had the calamari and a whole fish, which were both very delicious and felt fresh. The olive oil and bread were also fantastic. The wine gave me a bit of a headache even while I was still drinking it, but the taste was good overall. We came for a relatively early dinner (around 19.30) and didn't have to wait at all for outside seating. Customers arriving later seemed to mostly have reservations.

Great authentic food, friendly staff, lovely setting (we ate in the wine bar section and were grateful for the air con!) - we were guided in our wine choice, the daily specials were explained to us and the food arrived when expected. I had been dubious as there were mixed reviews, but we had a great evening and would def recommend Da Nino for an authentic Sicilian experience. Though please book ahead if it’s on your list - it was busy (and understandably so) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

From the very first sip of our Limoncello Spritz upon arriving in Taormina, we knew we were in for something special. Life truly is grand. The spaghetti was perfection—simple, fresh ingredients transformed into something unforgettable. The creamy garlic, chili pepper, and Parmesan sauce was packed with flavor and easily one of the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had. The fried calamari was perfectly crisp and incredibly fresh, while the tuna carpaccio simply melted in your mouth. And then came the dessert… without question, the best tiramisu we’ve ever had in our lives. Every bite was light, rich, and absolutely heavenly. An unforgettable meal in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Amazing food, incredible flavors, and memories we’ll cherish forever. Taormina, you have our hearts.

Dingy looking spot in a quiet location but great food and great family run establishment

Food not that good, the waiters not that nice

We went for lunch and expected better food, especially the stockfish, which instead disappointed us. It was washed out, flavorless, and basically tasteless. The service was friendly and overall good; we're in a trattoria, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The price—35 euros per person for an appetizer to share and two stockfish, with two salads—seemed a bit high. I don't think we'll repeat the experience.

We chose Trattoria Da Nino for our final night in Sicily, and it was a wonderful way to end our trip. We were seated on the balcony, which was absolutely magnificent and created a beautiful setting for dinner. The service was outstanding. Warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. The standout was the handmade pasta. Fresh, beautifully cooked and full of authentic Sicilian flavour. We also enjoyed a superb bottle of Planeta Etna Bianco Contrada Taccione 2024, which was the perfect accompaniment. What makes Trattoria Da Nino particularly special is its rich family history. You can feel the pride and tradition that have been passed down through generations, giving the restaurant a warmth and authenticity that’s increasingly rare. A thoroughly enjoyable dinner, made memorable by the wonderful hospitality, beautiful setting and exceptional handmade pasta. We’d happily return and would definitely recommend requesting a table on the balcony.

Fantastic authentic Sicilian cuisine! The atmosphere was awesome!

Owner is nice and welcoming, gave us great suggestions. Seafood pasta, is a must, 10/10,best I’ve ever had. Veal is 10/10, the tomato base sauce is unreal.
