11/05/2026: Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, fine wine, beautiful view, nice and friendly staff. I recommend.

09/05/2026: The restaurant is located in a small alley perpendicular to the main shopping street. Once seated, the view is magnificent. The welcome and service are impeccable, and the pizzas were delicious. The prices are in line with Taormina standards.

05/05/2026: The lady taking orders made us feel very uncomfortable with her rude manner. The prices are strange, as a single course costs as much as a full menu. We ordered both the meat and fish menus, and the bruschetta were good. As for the first courses, the pasta alla norma had too much oil but was decent, while the seafood one was good. The second courses, on the other hand, were pitiful. And, to top it all off, a 75cl bottle of water costs €4. I wouldn't go back; there's much better.

05/05/2026: The pasta was amazing, we all had pasta and it was perfectly cooked (italian style), the eggplant parmigiano was amazing too, the bruschetta needs a bit off work especially the bread but it was off season and it is a small inconvenience for the entire experience and the taste of the rest of the food. All in all the lady owner was amazing, the food was great and we recommend this hidden gem!

10/06/2026: My husband and I stayed for three nights at Hotel Villa Ducale to celebrate our anniversary, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Everything was simply perfect. We stayed in one of the new suites: a masterpiece of design, elegance, and comfort, meticulously crafted and with a breathtaking view. The real highlight, however, was the infinity pool: without exaggeration, the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life, suspended between the sky and the sea, a magical place where time seems to stand still. The staff's hospitality and attentiveness made our stay even more special, making us feel pampered at every moment. If you want an unforgettable experience and to celebrate your love, this hotel is an absolute gem. We'll definitely be back!

01/07/2026: A disgrace to Italian cuisine. The risotto was overcooked, with rice swimming in old oil. The white wine was poor quality and barely chilled. Cars drove through the narrow alley, nearly passing right through the plate. A typical tourist trap.

02/06/2026: I asked for a Moscow Mule, and it was served in a whiskey glass. Upon my observation, they brought it back to me in a Spritz glass, completely filled with ice. The bartender and waiter were completely incompetent, and we're talking about the very center of Taormina. Not to be missed.

13/07/2026: We were refused a table by the railing on the terrace with the explanation that it was "for more people" (there were three of us, the table had four seats). Seats were then gradually assigned. And strangely, only two people were ever seated at each table. Otherwise, it's extremely overpriced (just sitting there costs €5), but the view is still nice.

11/07/2026: The terror of celiacs. I've never seen such ignorance and poor service towards celiacs. There's almost nothing to eat, and they don't guarantee the absence of contamination. The staff clearly demonstrates a complete lack of training. I think this is unacceptable in 2026 for a restaurant of this caliber.

13/06/2026: Very nice atmosphere, the bartender said "anzi ca tu fici" after I asked for the plastic gin and tonic. Very good anyway, he added basil leaves from his garden. Thanks Paolo for the unforgettable experience. I'll be back!!!

03/06/2026: One of the few hip and outstanding wine bars in Taormina—fortunately, one that hasn’t yet to be discovered by most tourists. The young service staff ranks between musician, artisan and senior Sommeliers which offers extraordinarily delicious platters featuring yummy hummus and super creamy goat cheese. The wine selection is superb, and the staff has a fitting story for every wine that makes you eager to give it a try. You sit outside on lovely low seating, enjoying the balmy night—you won't ever want to leave.

01/07/2026: We were offered complimentary prosecco and bruschetta when we arrived, which was a nice start. We placed our order and waited for the complimentary items... and waited. Eventually our meals arrived, but the promised prosecco and bruschetta never did. We assumed perhaps they'd bring them later, maybe after the meal. Nope. After finishing our food, we still hadn't seen anyone. We eventually managed to flag down a member of staff, who seemed reluctant to come over. When we politely asked about the complimentary prosecco we'd been offered, the response was dismissive enough that it felt like we were being told to stop bothering them. We paid, left disappointed, and never received what had been promised. The food itself was mediocre, so there wasn't much to redeem the experience. Offering complimentary items as a welcome gesture is a nice idea, but it's meaningless if they're never served, and even worse when asking about them is treated as an inconvenience. Unfortunately, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish, and we won't be returning.

14/07/2026: The dishes were great, the service was mediocre (besides being very slow, the waiter forced us to order two appetizers in addition to the main courses, claiming it was house policy… we didn't understand, but okay). Perhaps he didn't understand that in addition to an appetizer to share, we would order two more main courses.

11/07/2026: We really enjoyed our evening at La Capinera! We had the tasting menu with 8 courses and chose a wine package with 4 glasses. The food was over all very good, and the service was even better! We felt very well taken care of during the entirety of our dining experience. We found it a little uncomfortable that there were no door locks in the bathroom.

10/07/2026: My family and I went for dinner at an interesting restaurant. Good service, great view of the bay. We ordered the tasting menu: two meat and two seafood dishes. Overall, it was tasty, but nothing special. I don't know how they got a Michelin star. We also ordered the wine pairing menu, which was a complete disappointment. Either the restaurant skimped on the wine, or the sommelier was lousy. Another downside is the proximity to the train line (literally right next to it) and the corresponding noise from passing trains, although fortunately there were only three during dinner. For dinner for four and three wine pairings, we paid almost 800 euros. Definitely not worth the money.
