19/03/2025: The experience was amazing and so was the food. The staff were pleasant and patient with our children, until they all had to use the toilette at the same time. We had a party of 10 and they were very accommodating. Again, the food and drinks were exquisite .

The menu is remarkably varied and also offers newly introduced dishes that go beyond the original nature of the establishment. the bar service is well proportioned to user requests. 23/02/2025: I've known this place since it opened. Initially it was born as a sandwich shop and I have always eaten stratospheric and excellent quality sandwiches, much better than many other places I have been, but since they started introducing starters, first courses and second courses it has acquired a million more points! This evening I ate "buttoned" anchovies with sweet and sour onion, a new dish on the menu that I absolutely wanted to try and I was abundantly satisfied, but I can assure you that anything I've ever eaten in there was truly special! If you are in the area you absolutely must stop by!

23/03/2025: Este es un restaurante encantador y el servicio fue excelente (todo muy amable). El menú principalmente de mariscos es bueno y sacan el pescado fresco y te lo explican todo, lo cual es genial. Y aunque pensamos que la comida era buena, el precio (200 € para 2 personas que tienen 2 platos y vino) no se sentía muy vale la pena dado qué más se puede encontrar en la ciudad. Todavía una noche agradable.

21/03/2025: Best meal we have had in Sicily. Jaqueline was a wonderful hostess (owner), so welcoming and patient with all our questions. Fish specials were excellent. And the best bread and olive oil!

17/03/2025: Durante nuestra estancia de 4 noches en Taormina cenamos 2 de las noches en Casa Niclodi. La atención recibida de Maurizio y el personal realmente nos hizo sentir bienvenidos en esta joya escondida del paseo peatonal principal, Corso Umberto. El ambiente interior (todavía demasiado frío para comer al aire libre) es de muy buen gusto y te hace sentir como si estuvieras en una villa siciliana... .. que en realidad era anterior. La comida es fabulosa y estuvimos más que contentos de tomar recomendaciones tanto de comida como de vino de Maurizio, que es parte de la propiedad familiar. Durante las dos visitas, tuvimos pasta de tinta de calamar, ensalada de gambas rojas, ensalada de alcachofas y gambas, pasta de pez espada y carne de res con setas y trufa. ¡Todo magnífico! Nuestro otro camarero que queremos reconocer es Davide en la noche 1 y Vitale en la noche 2. Entre todos ellos nos atendieron personalmente ambas noches y tuvimos varias conversaciones sobre la vida en Sicilia. Esta es una de nuestras partes favoritas de los viajes, realmente conocer un poco sobre las personas que viven y trabajan allí Tenemos la suerte de haber viajado por el mundo y haber estado en algunos restaurantes fabulosos, y podemos decir que este es un top 5 para nosotros. Puede hacer frente a cualquier lugar, en cualquier lugar para el servicio y la calidad. Muy recomendable para cualquiera que visite Taormina!

18/03/2025: I did not stay here but went to the rooftop bar. The view is amazing. Drinks and snacks were excellent. Being in Taormina while the evenings are still cool, this is the spot for an indoor aperitivo.

08/03/2025: Well-run hotel, very friendly staff. Valet parking worked excellently. Our room, 335, was an ideal size with a view of the sea and Mount Etna. Breakfast on the 6th floor was perfect, with attentive service. Major drawback: A terrible musty smell in the newly renovated bathroom. The hotel couldn't remedy the situation. The only storage space is the vanity, which is lined with spare rolls of toilet paper. The hairdryer hangs in a cloth bag on the towel radiator. The mirror is disadvantageous compared to the window. There is no makeup mirror. The bathroom window had to be left open at all times, otherwise the stench would have been unbearable. This made the room cold in the first week of March. The bathroom was therefore spartan. Therefore, one point deducted. We were annoyed for giving it 5 points!

05/01/2025: Wonderful restaurant, and in the summer, as I did, I booked on the beautiful terrace with a breathtaking view of the entire gulf.. I took a long time to write this review, but it deserves so much that I didn't write it.. Anyway, in addition to the beautiful location, what can I say about the exquisite and attentive staff .. For example, being celiac, I need extra attention and without a doubt there was... Very attentive to Gluten free, they have pasta and bread and even desserts.. All really excellent

02/11/2024: Como era de esperar, este restaurante es de primera categoría. El servicio es muy amable y acogedor. La habitación es preciosa. La "comida" es exquisita. Nos alojamos en el hotel, que estábamos muy contentos con. Siempre disfrutamos de esa comodidad. Echa un vistazo a mis fotos para hacerte una idea de la fantástica fiesta que tenemos ante nosotros. Pedimos 3 platos del menú A La Carta. La textura y los sabores de cada plato estuvieron a la altura de su presentación visual.

Toda la noche podría haber sido fácil pretencioso, ya que las opciones de agua y sal eran extensas antes incluso de llegar a la comida, pero el personal era amable y los sabores increíbles de los platos estuvieron a la altura de las altas expectativas. Tuvimos una noche maravillosa.

17/03/2025: I'm writing this review because for me today this dinner was an authorized steal. I brought a large group of friends to this place, recommending the fish sandwiches, which have always been their main dish, which, just because of the almond blossom, they decided to completely omit from the menu. Wanting to avoid leaving, we decided to order by referring to the menu of the day. Two fried fish items arrive for €18 each with 3 small prawns and very few shellfish (really ridiculous quantity); the Roman artichoke (only 1 artichoke on the plate) for the modest sum of €12; the spaghetti cusà, also €18, with red prawn, in total perhaps had two raw and two cooked prawns, well made but always very meager in quantity; the fish tartares were decent; The grilled octopus at €20, well presented and cooked discreetly but perhaps sufficient as a tasting, certainly could not be considered a second course. We paid €40 cover charge for 10 people. I believe that as a Gurmet fish sandwich you are still recommendable, but as a fish restaurant there is much better given your prices. After paying almost €60 per couple and having only had one course each, we leave without any satisfaction. I'm sorry, I don't usually write negative reviews but I don't think it could have been done differently in this case. In the photo I attach the abundant fry for €18

23/12/2024: Our first time at Ristorante Aranciara. Upon arriving, the owner showed us around and gave us loads of information about the history aspects of the Ristorante. As a lovely gesture. We were given something small to begin with. Puree of pumpkin and pepper with toast. It was really nice. Also we were given tangerine juice, that was freshly made on the premises! My wife ordered the Mussels. I didn’t taste it but my said it was really nice. Including the broth! I ordered the Maccheroncini alla Norma. Which was awesome. Perfectly cooked pasta. The source was really nice, with egg plant, tomato and ricotta. The service was absolutely wonderful.

24/12/2024: Very kind staff. Food was pretty good. Antipasto siciliano with dry tomatoes, some cheese, salami, and olives really good. Cannelloni, I was hoping for handmade pasta, but that was not the case, but result was good. And pasta with pistachio cream and shrimps, superb.

20/11/2024: Fantastic intimate restaurant characterized by a pure and minimalist take on Sicilian cuisine, expert and genuine hospitality, and, finally, honest wines with minimal intervention. Highly recommended!

12/11/2024: Ich war hier zu einer Weindegustazion mit 3 Gläsern Weisswein + Stuzzichini für 35€, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für eine touristische Stadt wie Taormina. Der Service hier war bemerkenswert: Sommeliers die die Weinbauern und ihre Rebberge noch persönlich kennen! Sie sprachen beide makelloses Englisch und man merkte, dass ihnen diese Arbeit Freude bereitet. Sie waren auch gewillt, den Gästen bei Bedarf Alternativen anzubieten (jemand war Vegi, jemand anders mochte keinen Weisswein etc). Die Weine waren alle biologisch angebaut, jedes Glas war etwas Besonderes und vom Charakter völlig verschieden. Jeder Gang war wieder aufs Neue faszinierend. Beeindruckt hat mich auch, wie die Weine perfekt zu den Häppchen gepasst haben, grosses Kompliment auch an die Küche. Auch wenn es "nur" Häppchen waren, waren sie ebenso ausgefeilt und kreativ wie die Weinauswahl. Würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
