23/07/2025: This used to be my favorite restaurant among the nearby towns. We would drive here all the way from Grammichele just to enjoy a good lunch or dinner. The calamari and mussels were always delicious. My favorite dish was the seafood pasta. But what happened on July 23, 2025, left me completely disappointed and took away any desire to ever come back. I was with my younger brother. We ordered calamari and potatoes for him, seafood pasta for me, and some drinks. They brought me a pasta dish with not a single shrimp, just one mussel and a bunch of fish. I ordered seafood pasta, not fish pasta. I immediately informed the man working there (I believe he is the owner’s father). He told me they were out of shrimp, that he was sorry, and then he just walked away. Fine, I decided to try it anyway. But the pasta wasn’t the usual thin and tasty linguine that should have been used for this dish — instead, it was thick, homemade, crooked pasta of very low quality. These are things the waiter should mention in advance. After tasting it, I told the “owner’s father” again that I didn’t like it and didn’t want to eat it. He, sitting across from me, simply waved his hands and didn’t even come over. He shouted to the waitress to take the plate away. I said I didn’t want anything else and would just eat some calamari with my brother. At the end of the evening, I asked for the bill. The waiter charged me, and I asked if the pasta was included — he said yes. When I asked why, he replied that I needed to discuss that with the management. As I turned my head to look for someone from the “management,” both men had gone upstairs, literally turning their backs on me. I guess that was their way of saying they didn’t want to talk, and I should just leave. So, yes — I paid 16 euros for a disgusting plate of pasta. But I’ll never leave a single cent here again. Neither will I, nor anyone in my circle. Even if the pasta had just been bad, I wouldn’t have written this review — but what truly upset me was the way I was treated. I honestly hope you didn’t treat me so disrespectfully just because I speak poor Italian or because it was obvious that I wasn’t local. In any case, I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for good service. One day they’ll treat you well, the next day they’ll spit in your plate.

02/04/2025: Centraal gelegen restaurant met zeer vriendelijke bediening en zeer betaalbare gerechten en wijnen. We waren aanvankelijk de enige gasten in het restaurant en vonden het een beetje fris. Direct werd er een heater aangezet. Top gastvriendelijkheid. Pasta norma, het kalfsvlees en de nagerechten waren prima op smaak. Bij het nagerecht kregen we een glaasje dessertwijn van het huis aangeboden. Heerlijke avond gehad.

24/05/2025: Mi sono recata con un amica e abbiamo preso 4 aperitivi una porzione di patatine e una pizza divisa in 2. Abbiamo pagato 65€ mi sembra un prezzo troppo eccessivo sia per la qualità degli aperitivi ( scadenti) il resto tutto sommato accettabile. Ottimo il servizio pessimo qualità prezzo. Non andrò mai più. Per quello che paghereste andrete sicuramente a mangiare pesce.

18/04/2025: Avevo prenotato questo pranzo per l’anniversario dei miei genitori fidandomi delle recensioni.. mi è molto dispiaciuto sapere che tra l’ antipasto ed il primo hanno dovuto aspettare 1 ora( assurdo) nonostante quel giorno in tutto il ristorante ci fossero solo due tavoli ( uno da 2 appunto e uno da 4)… arrivati alle 13 , finito di mangiare alle 15,30…. Il cibo nella norma quindi non credo che il rapporto qualità prezzo sia stato consono .. peccato!

25/05/2025: Bella serata con la mia figloletta di 10 anni serviti dalla dolcissima michelle che è stata gentilissima e dolcissima con mia figlia ci ha anche prestato il suo crllulare per qr code. Hamburger deliziosi. Grazie a presto

11/02/2025: Ottimo locale, bella musica la pizza è spettacolare la consiglio ma anche la pinza è molto buona che dire dopo le 23:30 inizia la vita catanese, un locale molto molto bello lo consiglio

14/06/2025: Vengo spesso qui, a mangiare la fritturina di pesce, gli antipasti e la loro pasta alla Taverna dei conti. Tutto eccellente, sopratutto la simpatia dei fratelli Giuseppe, Alessandro e Salvatore. Si respira aria di casa e si mangia benissimo. Consiglio!

28/04/2025: Ristorante tradizionale dove si può gustare pesce fresco a prezzi onesti. Ambiente accogliente e informale, personale molto cortese.

08/06/2025: Estábamos caminando y nos encontramos con un servidor que era tan grande e informativo. Volvimos la noche siguiente y luego la siguiente. Sonai era nuestro servidor. Ella era impresionante, presente y muy atractivo. La comida era increíble 👏. La pizza estaba muy buena. Estos dos canadienses no olvidarán este lugar.

25/05/2025: Beste Pizza auf Sizilien <3 Man sitzt draußen gemütlich etwas abseits des größten Trubels, auf einem trotzdem noch belebten Plaza.

25/07/2025: On a hot day the gelato is irresistable. There are many flavours to choose from. Everybody will find there favourite and even some more.

05/07/2025: Abbiamo preso due gelati doppio gusto. Dei 4 provati nessuno ci ha soddisfatti. Secondo me utilizzano poca materia prima. Forse fatti con polveri o sciroppo vari. Alla fine hanno una grande lavagna con i prezzi, ma neanche quelli coincidono perché abbiamo pagato di più.

17/06/2025: Mi dispiace fare questa recensione perché conosco il locale da tempo ma purtroppo questa volta è stata una cena terribile, fine anno scolastico quasi 80 persone e una brutta figura memorabile ,pizze che non potevano chiamarsi tali e antipasti che sembravano da giorni in frigo!! E mi fermo qui

24/05/2025: Luogo incantevole , con giardino esterno , le varie stanze a tema danno un tocco incantevole , i piatti ricercati e curati sono unici nel loro genere , si vede la ricerca dei materiali unici e tipici , ottimo staff e chef 💪 consigliato vivamente

09/07/2025: Soggiorno incantevole presso la Locanda Popolare, è un vero gioiellino, con un'atmosfera accogliente e curata nei minimi dettagli. Le camere, arredate con gusto, sono pulite, confortevoli e dotate di tutti i servizi necessari per un soggiorno piacevole. La posizione è ottima per esplorare Aci Castello e dintorni. Abbiamo cenato qui durante il nostro soggiorno di due notti e la cucina è ottima, piatti freschi e gustosi e il personale è stato estremamente disponibile e gentile, sempre pronto a fornire consigli e informazioni utili. Prezzi onesti! Un'esperienza davvero indimenticabile, torneremo sicuramente! Altamente consigliato.
