21/07/2025: I was very surprised by the carelessly scribbled menu. The lady serving me was very friendly and replaced a dish that was a mistake. However, the bifteki (?) was tasteless, dry, and completely overcooked, and the salad was poorly cooked. Therefore, I unfortunately didn't enjoy it and won't be coming back. It's a shame; I had the impression that a year ago, there were other owners serving finer, more flavorful Sicilian cuisine.

16/06/2025: I had one of the best granitas with brioche of my life. The brioche was very soft and the pistachio granita had an intense flavor. Highly recommended! The manager was also very kind and made us try some real delicacies. I feel like I have to go back every time I pass by Canicatti!

26/07/2025: The bar of dreams!!! Having breakfast here is a true ritual. In the morning, the counter is full of specialties to try, and the highly trained staff strives to satisfy the countless requests of customers, always with a smile. Five days here and we felt at home. The brioches and croissants are a must, as are the pistachio granita and cannoli. It was a pleasure to wake up in the morning and have breakfast here!!!

05/06/2025: Absolutely loved our stay, my favourite hotel across the whole island after 30 years. Loretta is an incredible host. She’s warm, welcoming, and full of helpful tips about the area. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home. The property is stunning, surrounded by rolling hills, lined with cypress trees, and offering incredible views. It’s peaceful, quiet, and feels like a true escape. The pool is a dream, super clean. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed: great air conditioning, a really comfy bed, and a lovely outdoor area to enjoy the scenery. Location-wise, it’s perfect. Just 10 minutes from the main highway SS115, so it’s super easy to get around for day trips, but you still feel tucked away from it all. And the breakfast? Amazing. Everything was fresh and homemade — from local pastries and fruit to great coffee. We looked forward to it every single morning. This place honestly went above and beyond. If you’re heading to Sicily, don’t miss it. One of those rare spots you’ll keep thinking about long after your trip ends. We will return for sure!

17/10/2024: Ho scoperto questo ristorante grazie alla segnalazione di un mio collega. Io e mia moglie abbiamo passato una splendida cena in un locale accogliente con una bella atmosfera. Abbiamo cenato con un menù degustazione incentrato su una cucina del territorio che strizza l'occhio alla contemporaneità. Se passate dalle parti di Caltabellotta non perdetevi questa perla!

07/10/2024: Our resort recommended lunch here for an authentic Italian meal and boy did they deliver! We had wine and the tasting menu. The starters and pasta were amazing. The meat was good. Cannolis were delish. We also had the best service of our 2 weeks in Italy. Decor is adorable as well. It used to be an olive oil factory and they have some old machinery displayed. We even bought some olive oil to bring home as that was tasty as well. You must go here if in the area. We were staying in Sciacca and it was worth the drive.

03/09/2025: Ingredients are top-notch — I especially loved the swordfish moussaka and the pink prawns served in a silky, dense fava bean soup. Absolutely delicious! The place runs with just one cook and one waiter, and they do a fantastic job. For lunch in Menfi or Porto Palo, it really couldn’t be easier or better.

02/09/2025: Cold fried fish with two red mullets and an endless supply of tiny shrimp, perfect for fishing and frozen anyway. Decent service.

23/08/2025: We found this place by chance driving through Raffadali and all I can say is WOW! We started with a delicious antipasto of puréed fava beans. For the main dish we had a T-bone steak & picanha with sides of grilled vegetables, potatoes & melted cheese, and salad. The meat was of incredible quality and cooked to perfection. Our server, one of the owners, was incredibly kind and took his time helping us choose the right cut of meat. It was one of our best meals in Sicily. We will be back!

19/08/2025: A pizza to forget. I ordered a "bufalina" pizza... too bad instead of buffalo mozzarella they used that horrible pre-made product that they don't even use in pizzerias abroad anymore. Besides, I paid for a pizza with buffalo mozzarella and not pre-made product, which costs less. Luckily, I'm not allergic to lactose, since buffalo mozzarella is recommended for those with allergies, whereas with pre-made product I would have felt sick. It's unfair to deceive a customer like this. When I got home, I realized they'd sold me a pizza that with that pre-made product becomes hard, heavy, and inedible. But how can you use pre-made product in Italy? Everyone only uses fresh mozzarella these days... and above all, how can you think you can get away with it? Buffalo mozzarella has a texture, delicacy, and flavor that have nothing to do with your pre-made product. Final rating: zero.

18/06/2025: Great pizza. But owner and waitress were incredibly bored and didn't say a word, or smile, the whole time we were there. There are no tables outside and no music or any other atmosphere inside. It was very awkward sitting to eat when the owner made you feel like you were keeping him awake.(It was 7:30 pm) My advice is to order to take away- don't eat in.

03/05/2025: “Clothes don't make the man”… says an old proverb; This is precisely the case with this restaurant, surrounded by nature, apparently isolated, and with that slightly 70s/80s style. However, the food is really of excellent quality, starting from the house starters: top tripe! Very fresh and tasty cheeses, the meat really tender and tasty. Friendly staff, possibility to have dessert, we chose an excellent lemon sorbet. Really competitive prices. Advised!
