11/06/2025: Been there with my family to visit the "fattojo", i. e., the place where they show how to make the chocolate from bean to bar. The visit was worth the trip: the two ladies showed us the the process of making the real Modica chocolate, explaining also how to roast, peel and grind the beans...interleaving the experience with sweet treats, from the cold chocolate to the chocolate flavored spirit at the end. Definitely worth visiting!

01/05/2025: Sempre perennemente affollata. Impossibile provare il cioccolato, ma, data la calca di turisti, deve essere acquistato tutto a scatola chiusa. Le tavolette da 50gr vanno approssimativamente dai €2,80 ai €4,40. I tour esperienziali devono essere necessariamente prenotati in anticipo. Buona la cioccolata fredda a €3,50 e la cassatina al pistacchio a €5,50.

10/09/2025: While on vacation in Sciacca, we ordered some pizzas. They were good, reasonably priced, and the place has outdoor seating on the main street.

24/08/2025: Small pizzeria in the Perriera area, average pizzas, well-seasoned and tasty

12/10/2025: A beautiful café in the middle of the square where you can still enjoy the warm sunshine in mid-October. They offer a fairly large selection of delicious typical Sicilian pastries, semifreddos, granitas, Sicilian coffee, and delicious meals at reasonable prices. A visit to "Al Ciclope" is always worth it, and we'll definitely be going back for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

08/09/2025: I purchased several products, including a package of artisanal whole-wheat pasta, attracted by its quality and authentic appearance. Unfortunately, I only noticed at home that it had expired a few months ago. I understand this could be an oversight, but it would be important to pay more attention to managing expiration dates, especially when dealing with food products. I hope this was an isolated incident and that the store can improve this aspect, as the product selection is interesting. I'm writing this review to encourage other shoppers to always check labels and to highlight the importance of careful inspections to the seller.

21/10/2025: Authentic Trattoria in the heart of the Vucciria market, with mostly local clientele, fresh dishes, including pasta with sea urchin, very friendly and sympathetic staff including waiters and owner. I brought great friends from Zaragoza and they enjoyed authentic local dishes. Very much recommended in a relaxing atmosphere. You cannot go wrong ordering here

19/10/2025: Discovered by accident, but a real surprise! Never seen such large mussels, everything was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind. At the end, they even offered us a homemade dessert. Highly recommended! 😄🍽️

05/09/2025: Every time I return to Modica, I can't resist: dinner at La Sirenetta is a must! 🐟🍕 Fresh fish that smells of the sea, super tasty and light pizza, all accompanied by consistently friendly and warm service. 💙 A mix of quality, tradition, and hospitality that makes you feel right at home... but with a special touch. 🌊✨ The pizza with fresh tuna is highly recommended, as are all the fish dishes; the raw fish is amazing!

04/10/2025: The A.N.P.S. of Messina was here for lunch today. We had a wonderful time. Elegant location, top-notch menu, knowledgeable and very professional staff. The housekeeper was top notch. It's a place I recommend and will definitely return to.

16/09/2025: We passed by here on our way to our hotel, and stopped for something to eat. We had roast chicken, and the owner gave us a complimentary 66cl beer. The chicken came with fries, mignon, and roast potatoes. Huge portions of side dishes. Price: €14. Good chicken, excellent side dishes.

13/09/2025: The pizza was very good, made with top-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The chicken was also very good, and the freshly cut fries deserve a special mention.

26/07/2025: In short... Good value for money, better than downtown. But you have to travel miles to get there. There's also the fact that you often encounter (abundant in the neighborhood, to be honest) rude customers who wave their arms and try to skip your turn when they realize you're not their type... This isn't the owners' fault, obviously. The products (sorry to mention them last) are definitely better than average: hot food, ice cream, marzipan, all highly recommended.

I wouldn't have drunk the first two even if they were free. ... The third, on my recommendation, was excellent. Very kind and fast 😉Even though she added the extra euros 🤭😆Three Campari Gin (replaced with vodka) 28 euros.... Despite everything, we'll be back 🤭
