19/05/2026: My assessment of Kobuta is a combination of the comments I'd make about the ideas of a creative department (that's my job) and my experiences as a lifelong manager with a trolley. In order: 1) Kobuta was born from a madness: that of seeking unions between two islands that are very distant but very close in terms of history and character: Japan and the beloved Sardinia. Therefore, the idea gets a high rating. 2) The food. I had the opportunity to "challenge" this idea by tasting three different dishes from the menu: a revisited fregola, a long-cooked pork capocollo, and a vegetable tempura. Here too, the rating is high for the quality of the ingredients and the cooking. The plating could be improved with bases that vary depending on the contents. Fregola on a flat plate is fine, but why not serve tempura in a vertical bucket like they do in Japan? Anyway, very good. 3) The drink. I have a suggestion for the owners and the chef, and I'm doing it to raise the bar: think about a possible food-drink pairing. For example, without being offered an option, I decided to pair the pork with a slightly citrusy sake (a failed pairing) and the tempura with a dry, pure-fermented sake (a perfect choice). Consequently, it would make sense to include a pairing suggested by your sommelier on the menu, either based on Sardinian wines (but be careful not to become a Vermentinificio like half of Sardinia already is: perhaps look among artisanal producers with heroic vineyards or innovative blends) or based on Japanese sake, paired with thoughtful expression, seeking harmony between dish and drink. Here too, the two islands must meet. In short: Kobuta is a great idea, it has great personality, and it inspires a strong desire to return, this time to give you my fifth star.

29/04/2026: A really cute and welcoming place, but small, so reservations are highly recommended. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Excellent selection of beers, which change frequently, and the sandwiches are also incredibly tasty! It's become one of my favorite places.

07/06/2026: Terrible experience from the moment we entered The staff (except waitress) were wearing sports clothes and were poor in appearance, looked more like they work in a warehouse or manual job. Would expect a uniform or professional appearance, but no If I understand correctly the place has been recently refurbished, judging by the photos from other reviews. I can say that the decor and ambience was made worse. Perhaps it’s a new owner and it was them who made the changes Most previous reviews are very positive but I have absolutely no idea why. Again I can only think the management changed and all aspects of the restaurant declined Food was very average. We decided not to have dessert and coffee as we normally do, and had went to another restaurant Moreover, it was the worst meal we had during our stay in the city and the most expensive. It was painful to pay the bill The location is not nice and there is no terrace to sit on, so only option is inside I cannot recommend at all. There are many much better options

07/06/2026: My two friends and I had dinner last Tuesday. We ate raw fish (carpaccio and tartare), which were excellent and very fresh. Then we had some first courses. I must say that we were very surprised and fascinated by the cuisine and its flavours. A special mention goes to the very kind and helpful waitress. I really wanted to make a good impression on my friends.

12/05/2026: A somewhat upscale establishment, which is reflected in the prices. The pizza quattro formaggi was excellent, as was the capricciosa. Taste-wise, it was one of the good pizzas, though a touch too crispy. €5 cover charge is a bit steep, so I left a smaller tip. And for those who like beer, head to Ichnusa. It wasn't on the digital menu, but they do have it.

20/04/2026: Recommended by a friend, we tried Mari Mannu. The fish counter at the entrance is already a guarantee, but after trying it, it's a confirmation. Thanks to all the staff for their friendliness and professionalism. We'll see you again soon, and that's not a threat, but a PROMISE! Highly recommended.

02/05/2026: Delicious pizza, truly excellent grilled food... A paradise for those who want to eat well!! The staff, from Gigi the head waiter to all the waiters, from Ivan to Tonio, Silvia, and Mario.... Number one!!!

30/04/2026: I had a very bad experience. The meat tasted burnt, with the classic black grill marks that were too pronounced. The fillet was stringy and flavorless. They also completely miscooked it: I asked for it to be cooked a specific way, and it came out different. The service was also very negative: when I asked for the peppers not to be included in the mixed grilled vegetables, the waitress responded with a firm "no," without even trying to check with the kitchen or offer an alternative. The prices were high for the quality. Overall a bad experience; I wouldn't recommend it.
