Great restaurant that's open even in the off-season. Beautiful view directly overlooking the bay, especially at sunset. Food is served from 6:30 pm, including wood-fired pizza. So it's perfect for people like us who don't want to eat at 8 pm. They also offer takeaway pizza, which is some of the best, by the way! 3 minutes by bike from the campsite.

In Porticello, at the beginning of Scialmarino beach and across from the Scialmarino trabbucco, is this lovely restaurant. The first thing I want to highlight is the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. The restaurant is located in a spot with a spectacular view, which is even more beautiful at sunset. We went a while ago and saw a spectacular sunset. Yesterday it was cloudy, but the view was still interesting. The cuisine is simple and unsophisticated, but I must say we ate very well. The wine list is good. Many people order pizza, but I'm not in a position to comment on its quality. We enjoyed both the appetizers, first courses, and second courses. The dessert selection is less extensive. Good value.

The location is one of those that can help you make peace with a day that didn't start out so well, even making up for a house wine that wasn't up to par (I'm convinced even a bottled wine can do the trick). While the first course was truly delicious and well-executed, the fried fish was excellent. The ideal end to the meal, for those who weren't in a rush like us, would have been the one chosen by a couple of guests who decided to have grappa and coffee sitting outside in front of a truly marvelous view.

Ristorante Peppe Zullo

14/06/2026: We had a lunch reservation. We arrived an hour early, and although they were still closed, they offered us water. We were also given free rein to visit their fantastic wine cellar. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Peppe Zullo even came around to greet each guest and exchange a few words. The rather long drive from Bari was definitely worth it. We will certainly be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
27/04/2026: I chose to return to Peppe Zullo, and once again it was a memorable experience. He welcomed us to his Villa Jamele, allowing us to experience something far beyond a simple lunch. The visit to the woods, the stories and secrets of the garden... every moment was a journey into his vision, made of earth, passion, and authenticity. Peppe is a unique chef: friendly, original, and captivating. He captivated and enthused all the bikers with his energy and his way of telling stories. This is my second time back... and I already know it won't be the last. You don't come here just to eat, but to live a true experience. Osteria del Grano Arso

27/03/2026: Osteria del grano arso is an incredible choice in Foggia. The orecchiette pugliese di grano arso, the papardelle aI funghi freschi and the pasta fresca alle verdure o legumi keep the best flavour of the most authentic Italian cuisine. Besides, their tiramisú is the best we have ever tasted. Its smoothness fascinated us. In the background the owner playing the Spanish guitar delighted us. This osteria is a must in Foggia!!
