12/02/2026: I was disappointed. I chose a pizza that was white on the menu, so I asked if I could have it red, but the waiter told me that wasn't possible. They give you the option of choosing the dough, the mozzarella without added sugar, and the ingredients added at the end of the cooking process, from what I heard at other tables, but not the option of having a red pizza instead of a white one. It seems a bit ridiculous. So I asked for a capricciosa without even looking at the menu—my mistake, assuming that a capricciosa is a capricciosa. I immediately noticed that it didn't have spicy salami, but capers, which I don't mind. The worst thing is that at one point I found some anchovies hidden under the other ingredients, which I really don't like. If you want to make a variation on a classic, it would be good for the waiter to point it out even if it's listed on the menu, since I didn't read the capricciosa's ingredients on the menu, so it was a last resort. All in all, the pizza isn't bad, even if it's heavy.

05/03/2026: I went for dinner during the week with friends and it was a wonderful surprise. The service was truly attentive, present but never intrusive. There's a truly peaceful atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy the evening without rushing. At the end of the dinner, we chatted with Stefano, who also took us to see the wine cellar: a place worth a visit, with an impressive selection of wines. It was more than just a dinner, it was a complete experience. We'll be back soon.

05/03/2026: We hadn't made a reservation for dinner at Botteghe Antiche, so a spot on the square wasn't an option. Inside, there was still room, and we had a view of the kitchen, which is always a nice sight. The dishes were delicious. We found the atmosphere a bit lacking; the service was friendly, but a bit distant.

The kitchen shows great respect for tradition, with dishes that maintain authentic recipes but with interesting, innovative touches. A successful balance between past and present. 11/08/2025: We booked the "hotel" through Secret Escape because of its location, as it's relatively easy to reach the most beautiful towns in the region. The description didn't mention that it's an event venue. During our stay, there were events like birthday parties, weddings, and techno parties taking place at the pool almost daily – until the early hours of the morning. Restful sleep was impossible due to the enormous noise. The breakfast buffet selection was extremely limited and in no way matched what you would expect from a hotel of this category. The otherwise beautiful pool area was heavily overcrowded with day visitors during the day, as the area is clearly used as a public outdoor pool. Added to that was the surprising rule that the pool could only be used with a swimming cap. What a shame about this beautiful facility.

08/08/2025: Unspeakable. It took them three hours to find out who to talk to about making a restaurant reservation, and after confirming availability and learning there was a Smartbox, they canceled the reservation.

03/10/2025: I came to this place with pretty high expectations, driven by the recommendations of some friends who had raved about it. I must say, the place is nice, the menu is well-presented, and the sandwiches are truly excellent. Unfortunately, however, the experience was marred by a few things I can't ignore. First, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired: I noticed cobwebs high up, along the beams and in the corners, a sign that thorough cleaning hasn't been done in a while. Another sore point: the vegetables. I tried ordering them, but they were inedible due to the poor-quality oil, which had an unpleasant flavor, and ruined everything. It's a real shame, because why choose quality meats and beers over lousy olive oils from who knows where? The menu isn't cheap; you should invest and offer quality in all your ingredients. The potential is there, but I think more attention is needed.

24/11/2025: As always, everything was excellent quality, with the freshest fish and the option of meat dishes for those who don't eat fish. Excellent wines. The appetizers even included excellent sushi. The cake was exquisite. They even allowed our little furry friend to come in. The staff was impeccable, always available, courteous, and attentive to our every request. They fulfilled all my wishes and those of our fellow diners. The restaurant was perfectly air-conditioned, with spotless restrooms and plenty of space between tables. The tablecloths were pristine white and the dishes spotlessly clean. No need to worry about leaving; I'll be back many times because Donato and his staff NEVER disappoint. Amazing price!
