Great place, excellent traditional starters, very good first and second courses although even more traditional. Quick and professional service. Good choice of some unconventional labels from the wine list Only note if I may. As kindly discussed with the chef/patron, I mistakenly entered two reservations and only honored the second, as I was unaware that I had another one the previous day. As per the booking policy they charged me 80 euros for the unused dinner. The restaurant tried to contact me, I was in another restaurant without telephone coverage. I apologized but it can happen. Then, if as the chef told me "on a Saturday night we had a queue outside" I am pleased that they will certainly have replaced my table and happy not to have caused any damage. Personally it will be the last time in this place, sorry because it is valid. I'm the customer who doesn't come back, not the one who complains (mostly because of my mistake). In the future I will try to avoid restaurants that adopt this type of policy.

Thanks to the advice of a friend I tried this beautiful osteria in the heart of old Putignano. What can I say, top advice, everything is truly impeccable from the service to the food prepared with care and passion by the chef and the assistant chef (a splinter in the preparation of the dishes). What can you say, we will certainly return with pleasure.

The Osteria Botteghe Antiche by Stefano Donghia, Chef and owner, the point of reference for years in the province of Bari, impeccable hospitality and service, excellent raw materials, large wine list with particular attention to natural wines. A stop not to be missed for anyone visiting Puglia. Highly recommended

A beautiful surprise in the heart of the ancient village of Putignano in the province of Bari. Traditional dishes, all raw materials strictly from the territory. Original and traditional dishes. Good wine cellar. As tradition excellent oil on the table to accompany the bread and here deserved praise. Excellent service. Highly professional staff. I will gladly return to try other dishes. Nella parte vecchia di Putignano, ottimo impatto sia allo esterno che allo interno. Ma , almeno nella serata uggiosa in cui ho cenato non ci sono stati guizzi di interesse capici da stimolare il mio interesse ed il mio appetito. Avrebbe potuto essere meglio, rispetto alle aspettative.

Op weg naar Valenzano ontdekten we deze statige osteria. Het was kort voor sluitingsuur dus één gerecht kon nog net. Het werd pasta met 3 soorten tomaat en kaas en orechiette al ragu met een flink stuk opgerold kalfsvlees. De kaas bij de pasta smaakte speciaal, de saus bij orechiette was te sterk van smaak voor mij. Het interieur was sober maar stijlvol en tegen de muur langs de open keuken in het midden van de zaak, hingen talloze oorkondes van behaalde gastronomische prijzen. Inclusief 2 wijntjes en water bedroeg de rekening 45 €.
