26/08/2025: As a Neapolitan, I expected at least the intensity and authenticity of the dishes on the menu, but instead, there was no excitement, no heartbeat. The fried foods were mediocre, as was the pizza, which was sparsely topped and unsure whether it was contemporary or standard. The staff was friendly, but we still waited 40 minutes for the appetizer. The place was mediocre.

The pizzas are very good and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients they use, plus the dough isn't heavy.
I'm not a big fan of Neapolitan deep-dish pizza, but coming here was definitely worth it 🍕
14/09/2025: The pizza was good, but unfortunately the organization left much to be desired.
Despite having a reservation, we had to wait for about half an hour outside the restaurant.
We also noticed a difference in treatment: others waiting were offered a glass of wine as a courtesy, while we were not. This left us a little disappointed, as we would have liked equal attention for all customers.

12/06/2025: Very good and large takeaway pizzas, very kind staff, for more than two years now a must-have choice for a pizza party with friends or family.
They managed to please my son even for his birthday party, with a different "format" and double dough...what can I say, super as usual and a thousand compliments also from my guests.

09/09/2025: I dined at this restaurant two nights in a row. These were by far the best two meals that I had while in Italy. You can choose your lobster or whole fish from the display case. They debone your whole fish at the table. Every request to alter a dish or accomodation was fulfilled. One of my friends ordered the 800 gram tbone steak. It was presented on a sizzling platter. Another ordered their seafood linguine with lobster in a tomato sauce. He said it was the best pasta dish he ever had. I ordered the seafood platter in the picture. Seafood is almost always over cooked, especially calamari. All of the items were cooked perfectly so that they were done but not chewy.
My second visit was with a group of 25. I approached the hostess at 7:30 pm during the dinner rush. The place was packed. I requested a reservation in 30 minutes for a party of 25. She gladly gave us the reservation and set up a table in the back room away from the crowds for us. We were all seated immediately. All 25 of the people said the food was amazing. I ordered the filet with peppercorn and walnut sauce. I could have cut the steak with a fork. The sauce was perfect, balanced and not overpowering. If you're in San Mangiano, or even passing by. I highly recommend. The restaurant also sits in the town square with outdoor seating and an attached desserterie owned by the restaurant.
08/09/2025: Stopped by for a quick bite to eat. Food and service did not disappoint. Servers were very nice. Pizza was delicious 😋

05/10/2025: An unpleasant incident that left me truly perplexed, and for which I wouldn't recommend this place.
I went to this pizzeria-restaurant and ordered a sandwich with hamburger, lettuce, tomato, grilled vegetables, and stracciatella. During the meal, some lettuce had fallen onto my plate, and only after I'd finished the sandwich (and I emphasize only after I'd finished the sandwich, if you read carefully; I hadn't noticed before, since the lettuce had fallen onto my plate) was I about to eat it when I noticed a dead bug on that lettuce (and if it's dead, it obviously won't move). It was a bug with legs, not a burnt piece of eggplant, as they would have you believe.
I immediately notified the waitress, who went to report the incident to the kitchen. Shortly afterward, she returned, telling me that they'd told her to "don't worry, because they wash it." I don't doubt they wash it, but the fact remains that there was an insect on the plate.
It can happen, of course, but what left me most disappointed was the complete lack of attention afterward: no one came to the table to apologize, nor was any kind of courtesy offered (a discount, dessert, any sign of consideration). I paid the bill in full, as if nothing had happened, and that's not at all an excuse to get a discount or anything else, because I don't need one. It's just a matter of knowing how to treat a customer.
A real shame, because the place seemed welcoming and the sandwich was quite good—I say quite good because there was more salt than was appropriate… but an incident like that, handled so superficially, truly leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

23/08/2025: The classic local pizzeria and trattoria. Friendly service and a guaranteed evening with friends or as a couple! Owner Giuliano is a character from another era. The food is good (I recommend the house crostini for an appetizer), and the penne with salmon and penne with scampi for a first course. The pizzas are delicious and cooked in a wood-fired oven. Parking is nearby.
