19/04/2026: This restaurant was suggested by AI. We truly wanted to find something non-touristy and avoid a tourist trap, and were hoping to try local meats, so we decided to give this steakhouse a chance. Unfortunately, we were very negatively surprised by the level of service we received. First, the waiter didn’t really understand English. We don’t blame anyone for that, as there’s no requirement for everyone to speak it, but it made communication very difficult. The waiter mixed up our order several times and brought out a different wine than what we had asked for. On top of that, he brought the wrong bottle size and struggled to open it. We ordered two steaks and received them very undercooked, despite having ordered them medium. The steaks were simply not enjoyable. We were also puzzled by some of the unusual service choices — after the meal, they brought out a large stand filled with lollipops and candies, and insisted on cash payment collected in a plastic toy car-shaped can, which felt very strange and unprofessional. Overall, the experience was disappointing and we would not recommend eating here to anyone looking for a delicious meal with great service.

04/04/2026: It was a truly fantastic meal. The whole family was delighted with the quality of the food. The waiters were also very friendly and welcoming, explaining all the restaurant's specialties. The menu includes typical dishes not found elsewhere. The sweet and spicy wild boar was superb!! We highly recommend it!!!

02/04/2026: I was out with my girlfriend, riding my motorcycle, and we chose this place to eat because it was close to where we'd parked our bike. The place is very welcoming, with an old-fashioned style that fits in well with the town. The waiter was very kind in explaining the tavern's typical and unique dishes and wines, which are what we ordered, and we didn't regret it. Terrine as an appetizer, along with fried artichokes, followed by Etruscan-style pici and sweet and sour wild boar—unusual dishes that absolutely must be tried. If you're passing through Volterra, I recommend stopping by. Since it's a unique menu, it's a little more expensive than usual, but that's to be expected, and it's worth it.

15/05/2026: If you're looking for a restaurant to enjoy a delicious pizza and a tiramisu worthy of Italy, you've come to the right place. An incredible pizza followed by a tiramisu that perfectly rounds off the meal. Unbeatable value for money. I highly recommend going.

09/05/2026: We are super happy to have found this restaurant, which is a very authentic local Italian gem. We were served pizza, which was very delicious and very enjoyable. The service was completely perfect. It was a young man who spoke good English and was extremely friendly who was serving us and made sure we had a great evening. All in all it was the perfect start to a holiday in Tuscany. I can highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for something which is authentic and has local Italians going there to eat as well.

I sat down with the intention of ordering two Margherita pizzas for my children, but the staff member told me that this is a “restaurant,” not a place for that, and suggested I go to a bar instead. This was confusing, especially since the place presents itself as a pizzeria. The attitude felt unwelcoming, particularly toward families with children, and made us feel uncomfortable and not wanted. I would not recommend this place if you are visiting with kids.

We were given a private room with dedicated staff: a team that was not only qualified and professional, but also extremely friendly and helpful. The service was meticulous down to the last detail, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.
