30/09/2025: I was with a group of 30 people and we booked a special menu: a cured meats and cheese appetizer, two amazing first courses: tagliatelle with ragù and tortelli with cheese and truffle, mixed grill, side of potatoes and salad, tiramisu, unlimited wine, water, and coffee. All for just €40. The food arrived hot and quickly, with no delays between the first and second courses. They also always brought unlimited focaccia and bread. The atmosphere was very charming and welcoming, allowing us to mingle with others, even though there were many of us, without any problems, and the terrace was really useful for strolling between courses. Highly recommended!

25/09/2025: We are currently (end of September 2025) in Tuscany – so after the season – and live near Palaia. We already know "Il Pettirosso" from previous vacations in Tuscany and we always enjoy going there. Table reservations are highly recommended, even in the off-season, as the beautiful garden isn't large enough at sunset and there are only limited seating options. Dogs are also welcome and are provided with water. As always, we had a wonderful meal this week. For starters, we had two bruschettas each, followed by a calzone for my wife and penne arrabiata for me. For dessert, we had two espressos and a tiramisu. We drank half a liter of Vino Bianco della Casa. All together, it came to just 53 euros. Very good quality at more than fair prices. The service was also excellent; we were served very well by two young waiters. The ambiance isn't quite as pleasant as in summer, when you can enjoy the sunset on the terrace around 9 p.m. But for us, it's still full marks, and we'll definitely be back for dinner in the remaining days. Thank you very much! PS: These prices should make many constantly complaining restaurateurs in Germany blush. Where can you get half a liter of open wine for 5 euros here?

11/09/2025: The food is very good and is ordered via QR code. The service is good, but could be better. Outside, it's a typical Italian restaurant in a side alley, but there was a bit of a strange smell. On the other hand, you're not directly on a tourist strip, which has its charm.

09/09/2025: Frankie… zero flop, good undercarriage. Not sure if it is but tasted like sourdough. Really good flavour. Well worth a visit south of the river

07/10/2025: We were there early on a Sunday afternoon, around 12 p.m. Perhaps too early, because the pizza was good, but unfortunately not crispy, rather soft. Perhaps the oven just wasn't quite ready yet. Otherwise, it was very good. Beautiful place, clean, with traditional decor. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They take great care of their customers.

05/10/2025: Great restaurant just away from the main centre, mostly filled with locals. Great service (a special mention to Sebastiano, who remembered us when we went the second and third times). There were no problems with sharing meals and good value for money!

29/09/2025: For me, it's one of the best pizzas in Pisa. Excellent selection of ingredients, the option to choose the type of pizza or flour, the quality of the beers is varied and very good, and the staff is also kind and friendly. Of course, everyone has their own tastes and everyone has their favorite place. But since I've been eating pizza at the Officina, I haven't had it anywhere else.

10/09/2025: Delicious pizza, fast service, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful place. We really had a great time! Well, what can I say... we'll definitely be back!!!

04/10/2025: Patrizia and I had dinner at Piropo. We loved the place. The staff was courteous and attentive. We decided to order two pizzas. I must say the pizza I had tonight was truly special. Perfect dough, cooked just right. The mozzarella and other ingredients in my 4 Seasons pizza were plentiful and of high quality. The draft beer was also good. A place where we can talk, without the loud music. We'll be back for lunch or dinner to enjoy one of the many first and second courses on their menu. Piropo is definitely a place worth trying.

28/09/2025: Absolutely worth it. Compliments to the chef and staff. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing location.

22/09/2025: Good pizza and reasonable prices. The place is very large, though a bit dated. Outdoor dining is available in the summer. Service was acceptable, though not professional, but family-like. The desserts, though homemade, weren't exactly amazing... Free parking. We'll try again, perhaps in the summer evenings. We've visited the place again; the desserts aren't the best, but the pizza is good. The €2.80 cover charge is excessive!

16/09/2025: The restaurant boasts a large garden with a lake and animals, offering the option of a short nature walk. You're immediately greeted by the friendly and attentive staff. You can eat inside or outside. We opted for the interior, where the warm, wood-clad atmosphere and adequate lighting lulled us throughout the dinner. The food was good, and the portions were adequate, so much so that we didn't get to try dessert. We'll definitely be back!

31/08/2025: We stopped halfway through the trip, exiting at the Pisa Nord junction and looking for exactly what we were looking for. Good food, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff!

30/08/2025: All I can say is, the food was fantastic. The tartar was amazing. Excellent service. Excellent value for money. We would have liked more time, but we had tickets to the Puccini Festival. A top place for good food.

20/09/2025: A true surprise. I ordered a pizza and the style which was served was unlike any pizza I have had before. However I'm not complaining because it was delicious and the price was very reasonable. If you're in the area then please stop by and try.

14/09/2025: I'm forced to write a negative review. Even though the food is fantastic, the review isn't about the food, but about the behavior of one of the staff or the owners. Tonight I went to eat, and the very kind waitress asked me if I wanted to eat inside or outside. Of course, I went outside to eat. The waitress said, "Yes, I'll free up the table that just became available for her, and I'll have her sit down." She quickly set the table and sat me down. After about 10 minutes, the waitress arrived, ready and motivated to order cecina and pizza instead. But instead of taking my order, she told me that unfortunately I had to leave the table because it was reserved and I could have gone inside. I thanked her but didn't accept. The question is: But if Google says they don't accept reservations? I feel sorry for them, they lost a customer. I'm not a tourist. Luckily, in Pisa there are other places to eat pizza and cecina, perhaps even better.

21/09/2025: The pizza and cecina are delicious and easy to digest. The prices are fair, and the service is fast and courteous.

21/09/2025: Very nice and welcoming atmosphere. Young, smiling and always helpful staff. Delicious pizza (even the crust) 😋😋😋 cecina to try 🔝🔝🔝 and if you want to end the dinner on a sweet note, I recommend the Riviera dessert💯. Really excellent quality/price ratio. Highly recommended.

23/06/2025: Delicious pizza, brilliant service. We were very impressed. My husband was able to eat pizza for the first time in 6 years, because you can order gluten-free pizza in the restaurant. We highly recommend it, the best pizza we have ever eaten!
