04/03/2026: Always good pizzas, reasonable prices, and excellent service. The only problem is the place, which is very small and sometimes unbearably noisy when there are loud customers. After a while, I returned to eat at this recently expanded restaurant, which also includes an adjoining room and the option of seating more. They recently ran a 15 euro promotion that includes a Neapolitan mixed fried fish, a pizza, and a drink. The initiative is laudable, but there are some improvements that could be made. The menu includes a certain type of pizza, and if a customer wants a pizza with more toppings, RIGHTFULLY, they have to pay a premium. However, if they want a beer instead of a drink (Coke, Fanta, or water), they have to pay the full price, rather than just the surcharge. In my opinion, it's wrong to force customers to spend not 15 but 20 euros, which is the normal price, considering the fried fish is so cheap. Another consideration. We arrived at 8:00 PM and left at 10:30 PM to grab a pizza and a beer. Frankly, two and a half hours were too long for a meal. There's a lot to improve, especially the speed of serving customers. Pizza, as always, good!

16/11/2025: Restaurant with tasty food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. The pasta was very tasty and at the end we were surprised with a sweet snack on the house. The price in the photo is for 7 people.

09/11/2025: A wonderful experience! We had dinner at this restaurant while we were in Pisa City Center. Let me start by saying that the location is excellent, just a stone's throw from the train station and easily accessible on foot. We ate wonderfully, ordering a first course each and a Florentine steak weighing over 1kg each. The first courses of the day were delicious and plentiful, as was the meat. The service was also excellent; the waiter who served us was extremely helpful and polite. At the end of the dinner, they offered us a homemade amaro and a croissant with cream and Nutella. They also left us a tower full of heart-shaped lollipops and sweets. As if that weren't enough, when we had to pay, the owner (also very kind) gave us a discount on the total (and literally ended up giving us the wine we had ordered). What can I say? One of the best experiences I've ever had. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

27/12/2025: The food was delicious, we ordered pizzas and a cold cuts plate as starters. Service was impeccable as well. Great atmosphere, cozy and friendly. They gave us a table that would accommodate our 100lbs dog so that’s a big bonus as well. Thank you for a great evening.

25/12/2025: Bad service, we were disappointed. The table was placed on the sloping road, even though we booked for 12 people at a table for 8, eating on a bench, all this in the dark, the pizza was very small, rubbery, inedible, and the beer was served warm. All this for a cost of 25 euros per person for pizza and dessert. I strongly advise against the mini margherita at 9 euros, madness.

12/02/2026: In an increasingly fast-paced urban environment, this small restaurant presents itself as a barebones affair, more geared toward takeout than a true dining experience. The interior spaces are minimal, functional but unwelcoming, and spending time at a table feels more like a quick stopover than a convivial experience. The pizzas didn't satisfy me; the overall attention to detail was inadequate; the mozzarella was served in slices, cold from the fridge, and without a drizzle of oil; the balance of flavor and appearance was poor. The service is fast: the staff is friendly, efficient, and accustomed to a fast pace; the door constantly opens and closes to serve the tables outside. One senses an organizational machine geared toward quickly processing the influx of customers. The prices seem too high for the type of restaurant, the experience offered, and the quick service. The overall impression is that the offerings are geared primarily toward a tourist crowd with a healthy budget and few expectations.

08/03/2026: A PLEASANT DISCOVERY JUST A STEP FROM HOME Just a stone's throw from my house, there's this wonderful place, welcoming, and tidy in every way. The owners are wonderful, the food is EXCELLENT, the service EXCELLENT, the place has a warm atmosphere, like being at home... I congratulate you for having brought this place back to life. Today, my husband, my son, and I came for lunch, and we were so thrilled that we decided to celebrate our son's First Communion here. You deserve the best. Luisana, you're amazing, and the chef is super 👏👏👏

21/01/2026: In Tuscany for work, I tried several places in the surrounding area until I stumbled upon Sottobosco. There's no comparison, and I haven't changed. The restaurant is clean and well-kept, and in the warmer months it has a large, green outdoor area—it's wonderful. The welcome and service will make you feel at home, friendly and kind. The restaurant offers a menu of meat and seafood dishes. I've tried everything, and I must say the quality of the ingredients is excellent, everything cooked to perfection! The price is more than fair—highly recommended!

15/02/2026: I spent Valentine's Day here. Everything started out fine. They seated us in the room with music, and after about ten minutes the appetizers arrived (we had the set menu): the dish was good, but the portions were really small. From then on, the evening almost turned into a nightmare. We waited an hour and a quarter for the first course. We could practically see the first courses being served all around us, but nothing for us. Once they arrived, we ate, and the same thing happened: the dish was good, but the portions were small (at least mine, since I had the fish menu). For the second course, needless to say, we waited another 40 minutes. While we waited, there had been some music playing (not themed, but disco house, which is something you don't expect on a Valentine's Day evening), but two gentlemen arrived and started singing and playing themselves with a microphone and guitar. Except the music was so loud, my head started pounding so hard I wanted to leave without finishing my meal. In fact, when the main course arrived, we ate (the food wasn't even good here) and my boyfriend tried to make the gesture to turn down the music, but he didn't pay attention to anyone. So, seeing me feeling really bad, he got up to find someone and ask for dessert to go. A very kind lady moved us to the next room (without the music, meaning we could hear it, but a little less) and we waited another 35 minutes for dessert. It was anything but a chocolate panna cotta. It was more like something whipped up on the spot and thrown on the plate. Of course, when it came time to pay, they didn't even make us wait a minute. It's a shame the menu wasn't worth the price at all. The waiters, all very kind, were constantly apologizing for the delays, both to us and to other people. It was supposed to be a Valentine's Day surprise from my boyfriend, but it was torture from start to finish. He himself apologized to me constantly because he didn't believe the evening would go that way, given that he'd been there before and had a great time. I'm sorry, but I'll never set foot in this place again. I left with a terrible headache, as well as being hungry.

10/03/2026: Absolute recommendation. They immediately had a free table for 2 people and upon ordering, they informed us that there would be a 30-40 minute wait for the pizza and whether that would suit us. Our table was next to the stove, and all those 40 minutes the pizzas were constantly coming out. The pizzas were really delicious and crispy. Just pay attention to the working hours.

01/03/2026: Even though we're not used to dining after 8:00 PM, due to friends' needs, we booked for 9:00 PM. I was very skeptical because the restaurant was packed and all the staff were rushing around. I expected a very long dinner and tired staff... but I was pleasantly surprised. We were given our table at 9:00 PM sharp, not a single second of waiting. The service was fast and the staff were very courteous and always smiling, even though there were only two tables left in the dining room. The food was excellent. The mixed Tuscan antipasto was simply delicious, and the pizza was SPECTACULAR. I highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!!!!
