02/10/2025: The food is always good, but over the years it's lost its character, it's grown considerably, adding more and more tables, and like almost all the places in the area, it's getting a bit snobbish... A focaccia, on average, has reached 9 euros; with three focaccias for two, a couple of beers, a dessert to share, and two coffees, you can easily get to around fifty euros... I'm sorry, but that's really too much.

14/08/2025: In our opinion, they have the best pizza in all of Viareggio, and they also have very delicious wine 👍 But please note, they only serve pizza, no pasta or salad! However, the pizzas are absolutely top-notch 😎 and the owner always has a witty remark ready 👄

06/07/2025: I think this is one of the best pizzas ever, the toppings are very generous too, the pizza chef definitely knows what he's doing. Very nice and friendly place, I definitely recommend it. They're very much worth it, see you next time!

25/08/2025: We stopped in Torre del Lago Puccini with our caravan and arrived at this place in the evening. We were warmly welcomed, and the playground was huge for a restaurant. Surrounded by greenery, it was truly beautiful. I had a delicious pizza, and the kids had a kids' menu. The price was super fair.

30/11/2025: We went there for our communion. We had asked for many crosses but instead they only brought us one. The atmosphere was spectacular but the only thing that made me angry was the one but we will return.

26/04/2026: Rather than having a star rating, it should be protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The food was excellent, the restaurant was very elegant and well-kept, the service staff were extremely efficient, and the price/portion ratio was excellent, which is not to be underestimated these days. Always recommend generous portions, I'll keep an eye on you ;-) Thank you, and keep up the good work.

21/04/2026: Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the place or its suburban location: pizza here is a serious business. The atmosphere is very casual and no-frills, just like the pizzerias of old, but the quality of their gluten-free pizza is astonishing. It's hard to find anything this good: light, tasty, and carefully crafted. If you're looking for substance and authentic flavor, this is the place.

13/03/2026: The pizza is really good, they make everything gluten-free, safe for celiacs, and the dough is delicious. As for me, I'm vegan, and I get the vegan 4-cheese pizza from them; it's fabulous. The staff is friendly, I recommend everyone to try it 🥰✨️🫶

26/12/2025: Christmas Lunch 2025. My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous Christmas lunch, prepared with every possible care. We felt pampered and at home. The appetizer was generous, with delicious cheeses and mozzarella. The homemade tortellini and tordelli Lucchesi were truly excellent. Generous main courses included a spectacular grilled beef fillet. We couldn't finish the main course, which consisted of suckling pig with artichokes, which the owner kindly packaged for us to take home. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and there was always wine in our glasses. To finish, sparkling wine and Beppino Occelli's panettone with a delicate mascarpone cream. We will definitely be back soon, as the owner is also a master of pizza, which she makes herself using excellent, high-quality ingredients and various select flours. Richard and Giusy from Livorno.

06/04/2026: It's a shame you can't give it 0 stars. We stopped by before 1:00 to ask if we could reserve a table and they told us they were fully booked and couldn't take reservations. They suggested we take a walk and then come back so they could give us a table. They have tables outside (some free and some already taken), but also two inside rooms that were completely empty. We took a walk and returned at 1:00 to ask for a table. He reiterated that they were fully booked and I asked if he could kindly seat us in the inside room since it was completely empty. I also specified that we were getting pizza and therefore it would be quick without occupying the tables for too long. He told me that the inside rooms were used as a BAR and he couldn't seat us. At 1:00 PM on Easter Monday, how many people go to the bar? Everyone goes for lunch... so he could easily have people have lunch in the empty room used as a "bar." By the way, Google said it was closed on Easter Monday but in reality it was open. Thank you for your rudeness, you understood everything about catering and how to treat customers 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

03/05/2026: Easy to get to (despite the last stretch being unpaved). Out of 6 pizzas, 2 were inedible (Margherita with Speck, Tomino, and Arugula); the other 4 were good (nothing special). The price was slightly above average. A 50-minute wait is a long one. I don't think I'll be back.

08/03/2026: A somewhat quirky place, reminiscent of the 1970s hippies, but characteristic. The menu is limited, almost exclusively pizzas, but really good if you like thin crusts and unusual combinations. Friendly staff, reasonable prices for this laid-back place.

07/03/2026: The pizza is delicious, thin and flavorful. The desserts are also a plus, they're homemade and very good. The atmosphere has changed, I don't know if it's also changed management... the only downside is the price, which is much higher than I remembered.

02/05/2026: We had a truly excellent experience at Ristorante Antico Caffè del Sonno. After an embarrassing and unacceptable situation caused by a serious service issue elsewhere (at Bidiba, where we'd initially planned to go, the lady on the phone had taken our reservation without informing us that they would be CLOSED on the requested day: we were coming from Livorno...), this restaurant literally saved our day. Despite the hour and the difficulties, they welcomed us with great availability and professionalism, allowing us to salvage a birthday party that would otherwise have been completely ruined. The food was excellent, carefully prepared and of high quality, the service attentive and friendly, and the hospitality truly impeccable. A place we not only recommend, but that fully deserves a top rating. Thanks again for turning a difficult day into a pleasant one.

02/05/2026: A truly wonderful experience! We were greeted with great kindness and immediately made to feel at ease, allowing us to enjoy an excellent lunch on a holiday. The meat was simply fabulous, excellent quality and perfectly cooked. Special thanks to the waitress, very kind and always attentive, and to the manager, super friendly and courteous, who helped create a truly pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back very soon and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well and feel welcomed with a smile.
