23/08/2024: Il locale è il classico bar sulla spiaggia, spartano, senza troppe pretese, il posto dove ti fermeresti per mangiare un gelato o bere un caffè mentre sei al mare. Entro con i piedi ancora sporchi di sabbia e ciò che trovo è una distesa di tavola calda siciliana di ogni tipo, talmente invitante da non sapere cosa scegliere. La scelta poi ricade sulla pizza capricciosa e su un calzone al prosciutto e formaggio, tutto talmente buono che siamo tornati il giorno seguente per pranzo, prendendo il pane cunzato alla Norma e la pizza con le patate. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

12/08/2024: Alloggiavamo a 10 minuti a piedi da questo ristorante e non potevamo fare a meno di tornarci ogni sera a mangiare. Noi , non mangiando pesce abbiamo trovato in questo luogo un ottima alternativa per mangiare piatti tipici e non solo. Pizza ottima napoletana e personale gentilissimo e disponibile. tempo di attesa accettabile . Siamo venuti in alta stagione. Prezzi un po’ più alti della media ma niente di impressionante. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono . Consigliamo di provare pane cunzato e schiacciata . Torneremo sicuramente.

21/06/2024: Just a quick stop in the heat of the early afternoon. Drink, pizza and fries. Nice gentle service, attentive not pushy and unrushed. Toilets very clean. Served by 2 ladies who made us feel welcome. Thank you

16/06/2024: Awesome service and the food is amazing. Had a wonderful swordfish and Etna wines, and my husband got pasta carbonara. The owner/waiter is so nice and friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat. Not too expensive, but nice white tablecloths and nice family atmosphere. The wife Angela and kids were super sweet, too. The service was perfect and friendly and the owner sent us a limoncello shot to finish our evening. Secret: the lemon torte is stunningly good. I am missing it already. Great for seafood and pasta. And the little church next door and fountain offers plenty of people watching and singing. Only one of the four fountains are working in the fountain... and the wait staff says to NOT drink the fountain water.

25/08/2024: Good fryer, sandwich shop, pizzeria and much more. There is no table service, but there are many tables available where you can safely eat there.

21/08/2024: The focaccia is really good, top dough and excellent ingredients. The arancini are not arancini, totally overcooked rice with no flavour. To be completely revised or eliminated from the menu, the uncommentable breading, FAILED. Pythons not edible. I would limit myself to only selling focaccia.

13/10/2023: We came to Stromboli by boat for the afternoon. Our captain recommended Da Giovanni. We ordered a pizza alla Norma and an octopus salad. The octopus was tender and tasty. The pizza!!! The crust was so light and delicious we ate the entire pizza. I highly recommend!!

09/10/2023: finalmente dopo 2 anni dall'ultima visita siamo tornati a stromboli, e uno dei motivi per cui siamo tornati è certamente la spettacolare pizza di Giovanni. Materie prime di eccelsa qualità, prezzi ottimi e sopratutto la grande cortesia e gentilezza di Giovanni, che ci ha anche offerto una Malvasia bio e a chiusura locale si è intrattenuto in una piacevole chiacchierata!

19/08/2024: We were seated at a table and then no one even looked at us for a while. A table left with a better view so once it was cleared and they didn’t put a ‘reserved’ sign down, we waved a waiter down to ask if we can move to it and then order. They said we can’t move, it’s not possible. I said well we haven’t ordered anything yet. They said no. We then walked out. Bizarre vibe/weird atmosphere. Wouldn’t recommend. Could be a tourist trap.

17/08/2024: Stay away from this place as is a Tourist's Trap. I felt like a pot of money to them, not a person. Food is just like any other pizzeria, prices are 5 times more. There are a lot of non-written rules, that you are only told after sitting down. You need to order enough for them to say it's enough, if you order food that doesn't meet how much they think you need to spend, they force you to order more dishes, even if you don't feel that hungry, as it's "their rule".

16/06/2024: I have been using this delicatessen bakery for some time, I would like to point out that I have always purchased rustic products and sometimes bread, excellent quality. Today I purchased swordfish rolls for the first time. Knowing the prices of raw materials and frozen food, because I worked in the sector, I paid 39 euros for three skewers with four skewered rolls (huge rolls full of crumbs and chopped tomato???)..... to take away . It seems like a theft and a mockery to me. Maximum respect for those who work there, but if I had asked before I would not have purchased them. At that price I would have bought a kilo and a half of Strait Sword. Never again. Without prejudice to the certain goodness of the other products.

13/08/2024: Siamo venuti in questo ristorante con amici residenti a Lipari. Bellissima atmosfera e ottimi piatti. Dalla pizza al risotto al nero di seppia cucinato davvero ottimamente e primi di pesce. Servizio ben eseguito, proprietario gentile nonostante le serate stressanti e affollate di Agosto.

14/08/2024: Menù effimero cibo orrendo , mi sono preso una carbonara era letteralmente bianca l’uovo ? La pizza era surgelata e il conto è pure salato per il cibo scadente , i prezzi cambiano per i turisti , c’è un menù fatto apposta per i turisti tipo la margherita costa 1€ in più , dopo la cena stavo letteralmente vomitando 20€ per una carbonara e una coca cola inaccettabile , 3€ di coperto ? Neanche eravamo coperti entravano insetti api e mosche sopra il “cibo” e ai clienti , non andateci quello che vi consiglio

05/08/2024: We booked for four at this place outside the center of Capo d'Orlando on a Monday at the end of July. The restaurant has a part of the indoor veranda and a very spartan open part. When we arrived there were only three tables and despite the three waiters we waited for everything. We ordered pizza in 2 and in 2 restaurants: two pizzas, two appetizers, one homemade and mussel soup, a first course and a mixed grill. The starters arrived together with the first course (it's not clear what the waiter was thinking when ordering) and we were forced to eat everything backwards so as not to wait any longer than we had to. The pizzas have an excellent dough and are thin. For the rest, the effort is appreciated but definitely not up to par, all stuck to an eighties style banquet cuisine concept! I can't comment on the freshness of the fish... Everything was clearly frozen except the mussels. The overrated house starter! Even fried foods without flavor. A disappointment for us! Next time, takeaway pizza only! MAYBE😬

09/08/2024: Beautiful place. Good facilities, service and clean toilets. The disadvantage is that the beach is a pebble beach.
