01/07/2024: I ordered three takeaway pizzas, 1 Margherita, 1 Brunelleschi and 1 gluten-free pizza with lactose-free mozzarella, gorgonzola and porcini mushrooms (where porcini refers to tiny traces that can be counted with the fingers of one hand), 1 Daura beer (beers gluten-free) 33 cl and a coke. The delivery boy arrives and presents me with the bill "without receipt" for the amount of 42 euros. I call the place to get clarifications and they tell me that the price is correct. Specifically, the margherita is 6 euros, the Brunelleschi €10.50, the Daura beer which on average costs 4/5 euros in medium/high-end establishments, they charged €6.00, the coke €1.50... the rest it is due to the NO GLUTEN pizza with four cheeses which was considered and priced by them as below... they start from a four cheeses as a base which costs €9.50 and which must have included smoked mozzarella, mozzarella, parmesan and gorgonzola, also if my pizza of all these cheeses only had flakes of parmesan and a bit of gorgonzola and to this amount they add 4 euros for a bit of lactose-free mozzarella, 2 euros for mushroom fragments and 2 euros for gluten-free so a base white with a little lactose-free mozzarella, parmesan flakes and gorgonzola and mushroom fragments is charged 9.50 + 2 euros for the mushrooms + 4 euros for replacing the lactose-free mozzarella (the cost of lactose-free mozzarella is very close to the normal one)+ 2 euros for non-gluten...TOTAL of 1 PIZZA €17.50. I was very disappointed and I feel robbed, if a person has health problems there cannot be such a dishonest price increase from restaurateurs...

22/07/2024: Siamo andati a cena in questo locale consigliatoci da degli amici, visto la nostra voglia di mangiare del buon pesce. Abbiamo cenato all'esterno nella piazzetta vista chiesa con una bella musica di sottofondo. Abbiamo mangiato un buon antipasto di pesce fresco molto abbondante e degli ottimi primi a base di pesce. Personale cortese e disponibile. Molto buono il rapporto qualità prezzo. Lo consiglio, ottima esperienza, ci torneremo.

20/07/2024: Gelato ottimo. Cannoli siciliani squisito. Servizio da parte della cameriera mora con i capelli corti pessimo. Abbiamo chiesto per 3 volte l'acqua e infine l'ha portata sbattendola sul tavolo. Ha sbagliato la distribuzione del gelato a noi clienti, è stata molto maleducata, pessima è l'aggettivo giusto. Molto meglio la volta scorsa, 3 giorni fa, con la cameriera argentina, professionale, gentile ed educatissima

31/05/2024: Antipasto di mare non fresco sia di gusto che di odore, ordinata anche una pizza col prosciutto per la bimba, il prosciutto immaginabile e sgradevole, non ho fatto casino perché era una ricorrenza, anche se me ne sono pentito non tanto per noi adulti ma per il prosciutto ricevuto per la bimba a tre anni. Da evitare..... Cmq ci sono stato il 30 maggio alle ore 20.0 giusto per non nascondermi e dare un idea di chi sono...

16/08/2024: I had the "pleasure" of being served by the owners of this kiosk. I had already been to this place two years ago and the experience wasn't the best but I still wanted to give it a second chance. Unfortunately, both times, I found great rudeness and discourtesy on the part of the staff present... what can I say, a real OASIS OF VASTASI.

01/08/2024: Very bad experience. I highly recommend the owner to change jobs! This morning I asked if they had soy milk and he replied in a rather rude manner. We are in 2024, update yourself!

28/08/2024: Place set in a wonderful and panoramic context. Unfortunately we waited 110 minutes for the pizzas, even though we had arrived much earlier than other tables. We were told that the order for a portion of french fries, which was to be shared between four people, blocked the order for our pizzas. After many years of excellent results this time the service left something to be desired. As regards the quality of the pizzas, in addition to the menu having changed with the lack of the pistachio line, there was too much mozzarella as well as ingredients such as lemon peels, which were too strong and made the pizza unappetizing. The management of this business will probably have changed, but overall I would recommend it. Sometimes something can also go wrong, I hope my review is still appreciated and useful for future customers.

15/07/2024: Very friendly owner Fast service, they have gluten-free products. Friendly staff and they have fish, pizza and meat. Very nice place with a splendid swimming pool and games for children.

03/09/2024: Tourist trap with nice outdoor seating. Pasta sauce definitely tasted like it was from store bought bottles (which I thought would be illegal in Italian restaurants in Sicily). Complete waste of money. Service was good though, which is understandable given the above.

22/08/2024: Wonderful cozy place! Lasagna, caponata, drinks, service - above all praise. Very tasty. Thanks to the cook and waiters. I recommend trying these dishes. Prices are reasonable compared to other establishments in Taormina.

31/08/2024: Hanno fatto una miriade errori nelle ordinazioni. Tra le altre cose abbiamo ordinato 2 spaghetti mediterranea (frutti di mare). Hanno portato 3 spaghetti alle vongole. Quando lo abbiamo fatto notare il titolare (Gaetano) ci ha risposto che il sabato con 250 (?) coperti è normale qualche errore. Dopo 5 minuti ci hanno portato gli stessi spaghetti, scotti, con aggiunta di pomodori crudi e tante vongole. Una vera vergogna. Tranne che per la compagnia serata da dimenticare.

30/08/2024: Perfetto posto per godersi una bella cena. Pasquale ci a fatto trascorrere una sera tranquila e molto accogliente. La cena, top e il gelato alla canella indimenticabile. Grazie di tutto. CI torneremo!

24/07/2024: Hotel near the port. Yes it can be easily reached on foot but there is also a small car park where we left the scooter. The rooms are clean and spacious: blue-painted majolica floor, large bathroom, small balcony and in one of the wardrobes... surprise: a small kitchen that can be activated with a surplus. The breakfast is good even if it doesn't have savory foods. The swimming pool, which can also be used on the day of check out, was very useful for waiting for departure in relaxation. Flowers everywhere, hammocks and candles in a hotel with very kind and helpful service. The receptionists were impeccable.

14/07/2024: Nice but unkept structure, poor breakfast made with the bare minimum, no protocol for those who suffer from intolerances, nothing protein-based in the breakfast. Pool towels which even in the 80s my grandmother didn't use for a fee and stained with bleach. Rude staff... .they asked for a 30 percent supplement to stay 2 hours more in the room to give the possibility of changing the girls. Television smaller than a tablet and without antenna (practically useful). Obligation to wear a swimming cap in the swimming pool for hygiene, when the photos show the lack of cleanliness. A real shame... a minimum of cleanliness and professionalism would be enough.

18/08/2024: Delicious and abundant portions, friendly, patient and also nice staff. The fish-based first courses are exceptional. You leave full without spending excessively.

07/07/2024: È stato un piacere cenare nella pizzeria Optimus! Dal momento in cui si entra, si è accolti da un'atmosfera calda e familiare, con personale gentile e sempre disponibile. I tempi di attesa sono stati brevi. Ho avuto modo di assaggiare, oltre alla pizza, anche i loro dolci: deliziosi! Consiglio vivamente la pizzeria Optimus, locale in cui sicuramente ritornerò.
