27/12/2024: Personale molto professionale, cibi squisiti e ottimi vini. Consiglio pennette con gamberi e zucchine. Infine il bacio pantesco per gli amanti dei dolci con la ricotta.

27/12/2024: Un ristorante semplice ma accogliente. Il personale estremamente cordiale. Abbiamo mangiato due primi di pesce da leccarsi i baffi. Il propietario ci ha consigliato e servito un eccellente zibibbo freddo e profumato al calice e il bacio pantesco e la sua dolcezza é stata una degnissima fine di un ottimo pasto. Molto consigliato.

07/12/2024: I have to give one star otherwise I can't publish the post but they don't deserve that either... Saturday evening I book 4 sandwiches for my husband and my daughters for 8.30pm and they don't arrive I call and they tell me there is a delay I can understand it's Saturday.. 10.00 pm I call back and they tell me that they have returned and that they made 10 calls to my number, calls that never arrived... terrible service, I don't recommend it to anyone... On the phone, among other things, they also wanted to be right that I made a mistake, it was all truly absurd... I repeat, terrible service Ps I'm still waiting for the sandwiches

30/09/2024: I got a pizza which was very tasty! Unfortunately, the staff does not speak English. The woman at the cashier can't count properly and after we ate she wanted us to pay the bill a second time! Please ask for a receipt to avoid confusing situations.

29/09/2024: I ordered a capricciosa pizza. Very poor quality Italian pizza. The dough is good, but the products are too much and tasteless. Not good staff organization. Not favorable to foreign customers!

21/03/2025: I ordered by phone… the lady was friendly and helpful. I received my order on time and the pizza “courier” was very kind. Congratulations. 🥰. The mixed potatoes were FABULOUS.

19/12/2024: Stopped for lunch on a busy afternoon and we were shown to a nice table out front. We had a very attentive waiter and thought the food was tasty and fairly priced. Very good house wine served in mid sized pitchers.

28/11/2024: At first it looks like the perfect place, it was full with people (i think because was raining) so we thought to give it a try. We quickly set down and short after we got our order picked. Now the fun goes down the drain, we ordered two glasses of wine - they brought one, took ages to bring the second one. Was hard to get someone’s attention, there were two waiters and the third one that seemed to be the manager, and all of them seemed to be very busy by managing all the tables all three of them at ones. We had a table near the kitchen and could see and hear chefs frustration by having food on the pas waiting too long. We got the starters very late and parmigiana tested microwaved (super hot, scolding hot) , when we asked for some salt and pepper for caprese salad they brought it to us when we almost finished it. After long time when we got our table cleaned we asked for the bill and informed the waiter that we also had ordered mains that we will not have. He brought the bill with mains included, again it took time until someone approached for us to pay. Long story short, the manager said we will have to pay for the mains cause the food is on the pass waiting to be served, tho we didn’t asked to follow up, when we tried to explain ourselves the other waiter interfered and made a show by saying that she will pay the rest from her salary, many times repeating herself out loud in the middle of the restaurant. They’ve changed the bill and now they were avoiding us so we just left the money on the table and got out.

25/11/2024: Poor food, presumptuous waiter, nice owner but unfortunately they didn't even have the sauce to make pasta for the children. Beautiful place worth it. Price not good too expensive.

10/09/2024: Beautiful place overlooking the sea.. you can eat both outside and inside. It has a very beautiful view. Lunch was very enjoyable, really good... linguine with seafood and plenty of pesto and excellent pasta... there is also good mixed fried food but a little for one person is fine...

03/08/2024: Family-run place, very friendly staff, as soon as we arrived, without a reservation, on a Saturday evening they made us sit right away, plentiful starter, the pizzas arrived very quickly, a parmigiana and an old woman's face, excellent, they don't come with dough Neapolitan which is in fashion now, but thin and well cooked pizza. Modest prices, recommended

06/01/2025: Mi dispiace non avere fatto le foto; antipasto della casa ottimo, primi a base di pesce strepitosi nella qualità e quantità, idem la pizza. Staff cordiale e disponibile, festeggiavamo un compleanno e ci hanno omaggiato il servizio torta (portata da noi) e inoltre ci hanno offerto una bottiglia di Santero, anche le pizze ottime. Straconsiglio a chiunque si trova a visitare Montevago. Grazie ancora per l’accoglienza !

06/04/2025: Posto da evitare se si vuole avere una bella giornata,pesce scarso,insipido e pasta cruda e immangiabile,servizio pessimo e camerieri arroganti e di poca eleganza che gridano e ti fanno sentire come un ospite indesiderato,non tornerò mai più,esperienza pessima

04/04/2025: Mejor evitar si no quieres ser golpeado con un cargo inesperado y bien escondido del 20% de servicio! Hay muchos restaurantes excelentes, amables y con una buena relación calidad-precio en Ortigia, pero este no es uno de ellos. La comida está bien y los precios del menú listados son aproximadamente promedio, pero el servicio es caótico y cuando me pregunté por qué el cargo masivo de servicio que nunca he visto en otros lugares de Sicilia fue recibido con una sonrisa agria y una especie de comentario 'gotcha'. Recomendaría encarecidamente llevar su negocio a otro lugar.

29/12/2024: Un giorno prima decido di prenotare, non tanto dalle recensioni ma dai consigli dei miei colleghi di lavoro. Location accogliente , personale molto gentile e disponibile! 2 Antipasti buonissimi. Abbiamo preso 2 primi e una grigliata mista , invece mia figlia una cotoletta con patatine, un buon dolce si frutti di bosco.. Tutto veramente buono. I prezzi nella norma! Ritornerò senz’altro

24/11/2024: Complimenti ottima qualità, locale molto accogliente , veloci , preparati,e molto professionali. La carne buonissima accompagnata dalle segale che consiglio, si sentiva l'utilizzo di un ottimo olio. I camerieri molto disponibili ed educati ma soprattutto la cameriera Grazia per la sua accoglienza e il suo sorriso. Torneremo sicuramente! Grazie per la bella domenica!

21/03/2025: The location is not welcoming at all. Dirty cutlery, bread, pasta with sauce inedible. The dessert (ice cream) taken from the supermarket... I really think I will not return.

21/03/2025: Esperienza terribile, cominciando dal solo odore appena si varca l’entrata, per non parlare dei bagni… . Abbiamo preso delle pizze singole, si presume surgelate.. e delle pizze grandi tagliate e servite in dei vassoi di metallo, il piatto col dessert poggiato sopra il piatto con i resti vari della pizza, rumori ambigui ,ingredienti scadenti.. . davvero brutto, non consiglio affatto.
