06/04/2026: A very nice restaurant in a great location. The outdoor area is lovely with a beautiful ambiance. The service was top-notch. The dishes were absolutely delicious and highly recommended. We ate there several times during our stay, so it's definitely worth a visit!

22/11/2025: On a November evening when practically everything in northern Gallura is closed, Pizzeria Caltinu in Palau is like a beacon for sailors at night! Very good food; the pizza dough surprised me with its lightness and flavor! The service is quick and friendly, and the bill was equally surprising. I've finally found a winter refuge where I can enjoy excellent pizza at lunchtime and in the evening! Congratulations, Caltinu 🤩

11/06/2026: I had slightly higher expectations from the menu; the dishes weren't bad, but nothing special, and the portions were also a bit small. The prices were a bit high for what was offered. The service was a bit hitched. The wait staff were very friendly and, above all, very nice.

08/10/2025: There were 9 of us: 4 adults, 5 teenagers/children. The food was okay (depending on what you ordered, it was also good), and the atmosphere in the restaurant was okay. The service - well... One child only wanted to order a side salad or a portion of fries (which is available on the menu). The staff then got rude and demanded that we order a set menu. This was despite the fact that we hadn't "just" ordered pizza, but entire menus with appetizers and expensive wine. The restaurant should be more accommodating... With a "Servizio & Coperto" charge of €2.50 per cover, you're already paying for the service.

05/05/2026: We held a First Communion event on May 1st 2026 with heaters, but what warmed us was the atmosphere of the waiters, the entertainment, the chef, the chef's assistants, the piano bar was impeccable, but the manager Luigi made the difference. Thank you for everything for making the evening enjoyable.

04/09/2025: We stopped by chance after a day at the beach to try the famous grilled porceddu (pork suckling pig), since it was advertised on the sign! We stopped and asked the lady if it was possible, and she replied "by reservation only," pointing to the sign. We then pointed out that the sign, which misleadingly stated "reservations appreciated," didn't specify whether it was for reserving a table, etc. INVASED BY WASPS, they brought us a cauldron of wasp-proof coffee, but by then the wasps were eating even that! Anyway, we opted for the mixed grill, plated sausage, and pizzas. Almost nothing was edible... the bill came to 93 euros, including 10 euros for a cover charge... as if they were Excelsior tablecloths. The worst possible experience.

30/08/2025: A quaint spot, outdoors with a canopy. The meat kitchen is open to the public, while the pizza and appetizer kitchen is indoors, but always visible. There's zero risk of contamination for celiacs (if you eat meat). They also have packaged gluten-free bread (good). Helpful and friendly staff. The suckling pig is delicious; best to reserve by phone. Recommended!!

30/05/2026: Restaurant service, food, view – simply superb! I can only recommend it. And if a guest next to you gets a larger portion, it's because they ordered it as a main course 🤣👍🤗 That happens because they know how good the food is here 😎👏🤩

27/04/2026: Worst Hotel experience ever: Unfriendly staff, violent hotel owner. Kicked my kids out of the hotel room 2 hours before check-out while heavily violent screaming… don’t go there if you love your kids. Overpriced breakfast for lousy quality. Don’t book here!

15/05/2026: The bar is very well located with a view of the port and the Ferris wheel. The owners and servers speak French well, so there was no language barrier. We went there for breakfast and had nothing but praise; we ordered several different things and they were always delicious. I recommend it.

14/05/2026: Had to wait 45 minutes to be served a pizza!! ..and two bottles of beer cost 10 euro each!! I was told that they were expensive because they were brewed locally...not impressed....the cafes which serve locals have similar quality food at much less expense..

04/05/2026: Tested for lunch: the restaurant has been under new management for a few years. Parking is simple, but private, and I recommend using it. The dining room is medium-sized; the new management has made the interior much more pleasant than before. The cuisine is classic: fairly generous portions, top-quality ingredients, and excellent preparation. Prices are normal for beach restaurants like this, so higher than the city average. The staff is attentive and efficient. It's a shame there's no outdoor space; it would have been fantastic. I'd go back.

13/06/2026: One star only because zero isn't possible. I'd like to point out that the only positive aspect of the restaurant is the waiter, who is kind, polite, and helpful. The environment is neglected, dirty, with billiards in the back and the bathrooms under the stairs that are anything but welcoming... walking past the kitchen, I had to turn around because of the anything-but-inviting smell... The chef boasts of having a Michelin star... but as everyone knows, Michelin stars go to restaurants, not chefs... and from the moment you start working in a small, provincial restaurant, the star is like the night of San Lorenzo... FALLING. The dishes are nothing special, poorly crafted, served as if they were thrown haphazardly into a salad bowl, and decidedly lacking in flavor. The octopus salad had six pieces of octopus, and everything else was potatoes and vegetables. The marinated anchovies were so overcooked they were tough and a bit acidic, four very thin slices of salmon were placed on a mountain of salad... and the mussels were cold. The chef is arrogant, rude, and treats customers unacceptably. He was sitting next to our table and got into a playful and funny discussion with the waiter, raising his voice, using vulgar tones, insulting us, and ruining our evening. Star chef or not, first learn good manners, then learn to respect your customers, and also learn Italian... you boast about being who knows who and can't finish a complete sentence without making a thousand mistakes. RUDE! The waiter apologized a thousand times, out of embarrassment and shame, and even the kitchen assistant followed us into the parking lot to apologize because he was mortified by his chef's behavior. There are a thousand better restaurants in Sardinia, especially with more polite and respectful staff, less arrogant and rude. Not to mention the prices... two vegetable appetizers with a hint of fish and a bottle of wine €80... as if we were at a Franciscan osteria. This also explains why it's Friday night and your restaurant is empty, 'chef'... truly ridiculous. Stay away as much as possible and enjoy the wonderful resources and dishes of this land, avoiding like the plague this Italian-Colombian 'super chef' who isn't even worthy of a trattoria on the outskirts of the poorest city in the world.

13/06/2026: While staying in Porto San Paolo, my girlfriend and I went for dinner. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection, with the freshest fish and impeccable service. You can tell there's a great chef in the kitchen! We'll definitely be back.
