19/04/2026: The food tasted absolutely awful, and my partner and I suffered from food poisoning that night and were simply unable to do anything the next day.
18/04/2026: a cosy place hidden in a small street near the church with absolutely amazing food and great service.
we had insalata di polpo, spaghetti il ghiottone (with mussels, clams, bottarga and saffron) and fish culurgiones with clams and bottarga do tuna - everything was outstanding. finished with seadas and some house white wine, that was the best meal we had during 6-day trip do Sardegna.

05/11/2025: We spent two weeks in Palau and this was the nicest and most complete dining experience we had.
The service and hospitality were spot on, attentive but not intrusive, and all the food was lovely - the grilled calamari was wonderful - I had it both evenings - the starters of marinated mussels and the monkfish Catalan were a delight, as was the grilled sea bass.
We ate here our last two evenings and it was a delightful way to bring our holiday to a close.

29/03/2026: One of the few restaurants open at this time of year and serving at 2 pm. The staff is very welcoming and the atmosphere is pleasant. The portions are generous and the food is quite good. If we had to find a fault, the only thing missing is a few more cocktails on the menu.

05/04/2026: A very nice, well-maintained atmosphere, understatedly chic and not cluttered. The pizzas were delicious, and vegetarian and gluten-free options were available.
The staff was also polite and not pushy. Thank you!
When it's busy, it's advisable to pre-order gluten-free pizzas to ensure the special dough is available.

22/11/2025: On a November evening when practically everything in northern Gallura is closed, Pizzeria Caltinu in Palau is like a beacon for sailors at night!
Very good food; the pizza dough surprised me with its lightness and flavor! The service is quick and friendly, and the bill was equally surprising. I've finally found a winter refuge where I can enjoy excellent pizza at lunchtime and in the evening!

06/04/2026: I had a truly positive experience at the Re Ferdinando restaurant in Palau. The dishes I tried were excellent: the crispy octopus was beautifully prepared, soft and flavorful on the inside with a perfect crust on the outside. The Neapolitan soup, on the other hand, was intense, fragrant, and rich in flavor, just as traditional.
You immediately notice the attention to the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in their preparation.
Special praise goes to the staff, always helpful, friendly, and professional, who made the atmosphere even more pleasant.
A place absolutely worth a visit; I recommend it without hesitation!

18/08/2025: Delicious pizza, very friendly service. The seafood is also very good. The portions are reasonable, neither too small nor too large. Worth a visit!
18/08/2025: The pizza is delicious and the food is excellent overall. Prices are in line with other restaurants in the area (an average of €18-20 for a first course). The staff is very friendly, and service is quick and there's no long wait.
