27/01/2026: The attendant seemed friendly at first when he learned we were Brazilian, until he took advantage of this fact and tried to profit from us. He refused our card payment with the excuse that it was having problems, even though it worked perfectly, and only charged us in cash. Despite the meal and the view being good, I strongly recommend caution for Brazilians considering visiting.

20/01/2026: I found this shop while taking a morning walk. I had lasagna, a chocolate croissant, and a cappuccino. 🇮🇹 The lasagna was so delicious I was blown away. The staff were also very cheerful and kind, so I'm glad I went!

08/03/2026: March 8, 2026 We chose the Antica Porta di Levante restaurant because it was featured in the Slow Food guide, which has never disappointed us. This time, however, we were greatly disappointed. First of all, they forgot to include our reservation, and that wasn't a good sign. As for the food, I can say that the only dish that lived up to Slow Food standards was the hand-chopped beef tartare. The rest of the dishes were just okay and full of cooking errors. The leek flan, our other appetizer, was good but not exceptional. For our first course, we had the lasagna with fresh artichokes, which wasn't exceptional either. The béchamel sauce wasn't as soft and creamy as I'd expected, and it was also served in a very deep dish, almost a bowl, making it difficult to eat. For our second course, we had the pan-fried pigeon with roast potatoes and the rabbit. The pigeon was good but a bit dry because it was served in a metal pan, sitting on a bed of burnt potatoes that stuck to the bottom, so much so that we barely managed to eat half of it. The rabbit was also tough and stringy, with a paltry side of carrots that weren't particularly flavorful. And what can I say about the coffee crème brûlée? It tasted like a slightly runny pudding. The whole thing cost 70 euros per person. The problem isn't the cost, but the fact that the quality didn't match the price paid.

12/06/2026: A simple place, just like the furnishings. With a seafront view, which is its strong point, as is the food. The bruschetta with tomato, arugula, and olives is excellent. Fresh raw ham and delicious, plentiful first courses. If I really had to find a criticism about the pasta, I would have preferred it more al dente. But it's really very good. I recommend it.

17/05/2026: To secure a table, we arrived before 8:00 PM because reservations aren't possible, and we were quickly seated. The place is pleasant and perfect for a quiet evening where you can chat without the hustle and bustle of the more trendy bars. We ordered the spaghetti all'assassina and thoroughly enjoyed it. The prices are fair.

23/05/2026: Although outdone by a tiny restaurant in Castellana, they reward you with a thin-crust pizza from the Bari school...very good and made with top-quality ingredients. Be prepared for a wait...because even with reservations, table management is a bit slow...but it's worth the wait.

10/06/2026: The panzerotti are among the best I've ever eaten in Bari. I recommend coming on a Thursday night to try them. Too, too, too good. Pizza is average.

06/06/2026: Good pizza; incredibly, they make better Neapolitan-style pizza than Bari-style. The spaghetti all'assassina was very spicy. Good, but I still haven't figured out the original recipe. The appetizers were also excellent: platters full of cured meats and cheeses. The vegetable carpaccio was excellent. A little disappointed with the meat, especially the raw bombette, which lacked any filling. The service was friendly and courteous, but a bit too rushed...you barely had time to finish before they took your plates away. The location was nice and well-kept. The prices were fair for the quality.

30/04/2026: I trusted Giacomo completely with the choice... and it couldn't have gone better. I tried the "Michelangelo" and it was a top choice. Delicate zucchini flowers, velvety pumpkin cream, capocollo, and a perfectly balanced flavor. The light dough, well-leavened and perfectly cooked, is super digestible. A historic pizzeria in Palo del Colle, you know you'll be happy! 😌

29/03/2026: A typical pizza from Bari, very thin and slightly undercooked. If you like contemporary Neapolitan pizza, this is a must-try.
