14/11/2025: Terrible food. We ate orecchiette with turnip tops at this restaurant (we've had them elsewhere and they were very good). They were completely rubbish, completely flavorless. The other dishes were also to be avoided. The tables were so close together that you couldn't even get up, and the restrooms were a total disaster.

15/11/2025: Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The pizza arrived cold, and even worse, the dough was raw in the center, rubbery, and hard to eat. The basic ingredients were good, but completely ruined by poor cooking. For the price, I expected much more. I really don't think I'll order again.

12/10/2025: We had excellent focaccia at this place. The appetizers and pizza were nothing special. It's impossible to have a conversation in the place due to the noise and the echo. It's the first pizzeria where we were charged for the amari and limoncello. I don't recommend it.

This isn't to say it's not a tourist-friendly place, but simply that it should be more popular with tourists thanks to the authentic, local flavors. From the spaghetti all'assassina, served straight from the iron pan, to the panzerotti, the flavors are those of local cuisine, made to be savored, not just looked at. We dined here as guests of friends, and we'll never forget the culinary experience and the friendly service provided by the entire staff, just like the scents of this wonderful land. Don't miss it if you're in Bari!

09/09/2025: We went for lunch on both Wednesday and Sunday. On Wednesday, there was nothing to complain about; the appetizers and main courses were superb. I have a few complaints about Sunday, but I want to give a bonus because it was crowded and perhaps the organization wasn't perfect. I'll definitely go back, because the food was good and the dishes were well-prepared, hoping it was just a small Sunday lapse.

25/10/2025: I've been a customer at Lira Pizzeria for quite some time and have always appreciated the quality of their product. However, lately, I've noticed a constant frequency of errors in the execution of my orders. The first time, I asked for a pizza with a whole-grain dough, zucchini, and potatoes. They brought me a pizza with lots of mozzarella, nonexistent zucchini, and tons of French fries. In the city, the potatoes are boiled, put in a vegetarian version. Given the misunderstanding, I overlooked it and made another mistake on my second visit: I asked for an ortolana pizza and was given a strange pizza with tomatoes, artichokes in vinegar, zucchini, black olives, peppers, etc.—all vegetables that create acidity. Despite my repeated reports to the pizza chef, the situation hasn't improved. Unfortunately, for those like me who have specific and delicate dietary needs (related to eating disorders and ongoing treatments), the error isn't just a simple mix-up, but poses a risk and prevents me from consuming the pizza. So, no, I paid twice for two pizzas without being able to eat them, and in response, I was even contradicted. He didn't mention that while he was writing the orders, a man behind me was serving at the same time. I find this all very excessive.

05/10/2025: The pizza was excellent, thin and made with excellent ingredients. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick even though it was Saturday and the place was packed.
