10/12/2024: I would never have expected such a decline from a pizzeria like Gino's. Perhaps too much popularity has caused it to lose some value. Best Farinata ever, that's indisputable. The place is always smoked (the clothes stink!!), the windows are fogged up due to condensation but above all the prices have increased with the new menu and the quantity of porridge has been reduced. They look like supermarket marketing games. I've been eating there at least once a month for years. Personally, yesterday was the last time, what a shame!!

On the contrary, I will present you the handshake addressed to the owner of the Cusiné Royal in Bardonecchia. This simple but significant action contains the essence of the experience I lived. It highlights the extraordinary quality of the dishes prepared by an excellent chef, having had the pleasure of tasting three different creations. You can perceive the authentic taste of pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven, made by a highly qualified pizza chef. Furthermore, one cannot overlook the warm smile of the dining room staff and the incredible goodness of their desserts, which leave an indelible mark. That handshake represents sincere compliments for all the Cusiné staff. To evaluate a place it is essential to be able to carefully distinguish between objective and subjective elements. This is a fine line on which Local Guides can often stumble, risking influencing the customer with their personal preferences. However, in this place, such a mistake cannot be made because, objectively, everything is impeccable. Advised? Absolutely, a thousand times.

24/12/2024: The restaurant was just okay overall. I recommend avoiding the meat dishes. If you opt for the "on stone" option, they'll overdo it, serving it with an axe on a hot stone, which completely ruins the experience. If you order a fillet, they'll butterfly it—essentially ruining the flavor—because they don’t seem to know how to cook it properly. Communication can be challenging if you speak English, so be prepared for some difficulty. On the positive side, the wine selection is excellent, and the ambiance is beautiful. However, there are some odd details—like toilets without locking doors—that might be off-putting. That said, the chocolate and coconut dessert is absolutely amazing, and worth a visit just for that. Still, the overall experience leaves something to be desired.

17/12/2024: Nice and satisfying place, between the old Piedmontese trattoria and the refined. Good food even if the fillet on soapstone (their flagship) in my opinion is more spectacular than anything else. In fact, cooking like this does not do justice to the cut which would otherwise be of excellent quality. The meat is not roasted but rather (boiled) due to the low temperature reached by the stone. Medium/high prices.

03/09/2024: Family dinner, very welcoming place and excellent service. Very attentive to the presence of a little girl, bringing child-friendly alternatives for every appetizer served to us. Excellent dishes and well balanced in taste. Friendly and welcoming owners. We will definitely be back.

02/01/2025: The restaurant is highly recommended without any doubts. It is in the historical city center with a welcoming and pleasant environment. The staff is friendly and professional. Our table was delighted with all ordered dishes: vitello tonnato, insalata di mare, seafood linguine and beef steak.

01/01/2025: Not bad pizza! Invited for a dear friend of ours' birthday, we stayed here. My friend's partner had booked for 16, but in the end we were 2 more. Even though the place was full, the waiters immediately took care of accommodating us! We ate a good pizza. Cooked just right. The pleasant dough. I asked them for a little mozzarella and they were obliging. They are certified for celiac disease and you can see the kitchen from the room. Very helpful waiters. Next time I'll try the fried calamari... let's see if it's as my friend says!!
