12/05/2026: On Saturday, I had dinner with a group of friends, a table reserved for 8:30 PM. Despite our reservation and our punctual arrival, we still had to wait about 45 minutes.
It was immediately clear that the service was slow, but we never imagined that ordering different dishes (meat and pizza) would mean one of our guests would have to eat alone an hour before the others.
When it came time to pay the bill, when we asked to each pay our portion by card, we were surprised to be told that the maximum payment allowed was two cards (which was later increased to three, as an exception).
This is a historic restaurant, with excellent value, that I've been frequenting for many years. I can certainly excuse the shortcomings in the service (a bad night can happen), but the presumption and arrogance at the cashier... that's definitely not the case!
11/05/2026: Last Saturday I had dinner with five friends at this historic pizzeria, where I've been enjoying going for years and where I'll presumably return, despite everything.
I had reserved a table for 8:30 PM, but they gave it to us at 9:10 PM.
One person in our group ate alone, 50 minutes before us.
The waiter said this was because, unlike us, he had ordered meat and vegetables, while we had ordered pizza.
At the cashier, we wanted to each pay with our own cards, but we were told they would accept a maximum of two cards for payment.
The quality/price ratio is still more than good.
I think/hope it was an "unlucky" evening.

25/03/2026: Absolutely fantastic. The venue has private access to a stunning park, and with the delicious food, the kindness of the owner, and his entertainment... we had a perfect day! We were even able to bring our dog. Go... we'll definitely be back... and we'll be leaving from Rome.

27/04/2026: Let's start with a fundamental premise: courtesy, careful selection of ingredients, and the finished product are EXCELLENT. Every dish evokes Rome, perfect from appetizer to dessert in flavor, balance, and portion size. I've tried several in Emilia in search of the flavors of my hometown, and I can say, without a doubt, that Osteria Romana is the absolute best. We've tried everything from artichokes Jewish-style, to zucchini flowers, carbonara, tonnarello alla vaccinara, lamb chops, and sautéed chicory.
I can't recommend Osteria Romana enough!!!
However, in all honesty, I must voice a thought: modern trends have sought to restore dignity (as if it were missing from the start, a misconception) to the concept of Osteria, ennobling it with preparations and prices that are outside of its tradition. Sometimes simple things should be left simple: Osteria calls for tradition, simplicity, home. And the prices must be in line. Some very reasonable dishes are accompanied by others that are decidedly out of proportion (cover charge €4.50, a simple rigatoni with tomato sauce for a child €16, amaro €8, 2 courgette flowers €10) which, despite the excellent food, leave a bitter taste in the mouth once the bill is paid. The delicious abbacchio scottadito (€28, a generous and crunchy portion), the cicorietta (€8), and the carbonara (€17-18, depending on the pasta shape) are all just right. A cup of strawberries with sugar and lemon (€9) is out of proportion.
The extensive menu also includes variations on traditional dishes with truffles (from appetizer to dessert €25-40), which are also out of proportion. I wanted to ask if it was white truffle (I don't think so), but I was so captivated by the kindness of the hosts that I couldn't.
In conclusion, it's worth it... there's not much you can do about it. But the price tag leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, weighing much more than €8.
12/04/2026: A bit expensive, appetizer, first course (without wine), second course and dessert: €40. Bucatini alla amatriciana is a bit heavy. But I recommend it.

24/04/2026: I ordered two pizzas for home delivery with paid service for 8:30 PM. They arrived at around 9:10 PM, cold and without a carrier. I contacted them several times and requested delivery, but they didn't even bother. Terrible service. I hope Gianluca Procaccini, whom I know personally, puts an end to these shortcomings.

26/04/2026: A historic restaurant in Prima Porta housed in a cave. It has several rooms spread across the ground floor, basement, and terrace.
Every time we return, it's always a positive experience, both for the quality of the food and the piano music.
Quick and efficient service.
Friendly and courteous staff.
The menu is varied; I recommend it!

Gnocchi and meat pizza we order was amazing and so was the price . We sat outside service and food delicious

The Alfredo supplì was also delicious.
27/04/2026: Excellent Roman pizza, far from the usual commercial circuits: the pursuit of quality and products is impeccable. The fried foods deserve special mention: incredibly crispy and explosive in flavor. A wonderful discovery for those seeking substance beyond fashion.
Finally, but only for personal preference, I prefer the dough even thinner and crispier, like Baffetto (in central Rome) for those who know it.
