26/06/2026: We went during the week. The place was cute and rustic, very welcoming. The staff was very kind. We ordered the seafood paella from home. It was delicious, I hadn't had such a good paella in a long time. While we waited, we had two seafood appetizers: a tuna tartar and fried schie.
Overall, we were completely satisfied.
The bill was reasonable for what we ate.
We will definitely be back.

10/05/2026: If you're passing through or living in Bologna and want a quality seafood lunch without having to endure hours of highway travel, then Il Marinaio, right next to the Savena River lock, is an excellent choice.
I went there today for the first time and was definitely satisfied. The price was also fair.
The place is certainly dated, but I prioritize the quality of the seafood and the service.
These are really good, and I'll be back soon.

I'd especially like to mention the homemade gluten-free pasta: it's an understatement to call it delicious, and for a celiac, it's a true paradise! More generally, they have a wide-ranging gluten-free menu!
25/07/2026: The bill is only Roman-style, and no exceptions are made. The restaurant still operates on a pen-and-paper basis... which means no one leaves until the table is finished. The pasta dishes are very good, the portions are just right, and the pizza is well-topped. The staff is excellent.

16/05/2026: A fantastic restaurant in the heart of Bologna with all the Italian specialties. The service is quick and the food is excellent, especially the pasta Bolognese. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were even treated to a complimentary glass of Limoncello at the end.

24/06/2026: The spicy pizza was one of the best I've ever had. The mortadella pizza is very typical; it was good but nothing out of the ordinary, but I would come back just for the spicy pizza.
23/06/2026: I booked to preview the new summer pineapple pizza: a truly tasty surprise! Small pineapple cubes, which, despite being spicy, don't overpower the flavor of the pizza, which features Apulian burrata, tomatoes, and frigitelli peppers. The pineapple is a little spicy rather than spicy (so if you don't like that flavor, I wouldn't recommend it). Also delicious are the seasoned olives and the chocolate sorbet with orange oil and amaretti biscuits, a perfect finish! The service is always impeccable, too, with friendly and attentive waiters. Also noteworthy is the NO GENDER policy. One of the best pizzas in Bologna (said by a Roman from Rome!)

02/06/2026: Our favorite restaurant when we're in Cesenatico.
Authentic seafood dishes, a wide selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses, as well as pizzas. They also have meat dishes, but in a seaside place, it's a shame not to eat fish. The service is quick but not intrusive, and the waiters are friendly and courteous.
I recommend the mixed antipasto, both cold and hot, the mussels (both Taranto-style and with garlic), the fried shellfish, or the mixed fried seafood.
The passatelli with shellfish sauce or the gnocchi with fish ragù are also excellent.
The prices are more than fair considering the quality of the products. Everyone is excellent!
02/06/2026: The atmosphere is stuck in the 90s and although the service is large, it is slow, although very precise. Another reason is to continue doing takeout even when the place is full. Good food and attentive service. Average prices. We will return.

04/05/2026: Booked for 2 hours at 7:30 pm, 1 pizza, gnocco, and tigelle. The room was almost empty. The pizza arrived after serving tables that arrived after us. I was halfway through dinner, gnocco and tigelle. I asked if it would be possible to swap the cured meats plate for cheeses, and they kindly agreed. For those who love dips, Nutella, jams, squaccherone, etc., this is not the place. They arrived with 2 vegetable dips and lard and parmesan. As I don't eat meat, they were absolutely useless.

We can say we are deeply satisfied: the pizza was delicious, extremely digestible and remarkably melt-in-the-mouth. The staff was friendly, and the pizzas arrived quickly despite the large number of customers.
Exceptional value for money.
