01/11/2025: I've been to La Coccinella pizzeria, and my overall experience was decent. The staff is friendly and quick, and the place is well-maintained and welcoming. The pizza, however, only partially convinced me: the Margherita wasn't great, unfortunately, but the sweet potato and sausage was truly excellent! The location is convenient and easy to get to. Overall, I recommend it for a quiet evening, but I think you can find better options in the area.

17/10/2025: We have had some great meals at some really good restaurants in our two weeks in Italy and this place was our run away favourite - we ate here 3 times. Our favourite dishes were the Fileja la Rossa (pasta with tomatoes, onion, olives and capers - perfect) and the Mastru Totu Pizza (topped with tomato, olives, capers, anchovies and burrata (like a cold Mozzarella but better)). Sitting outside in the small square beside the restaurant was a beautiful and peaceful place to eat. The service was brilliant. They were very apologetic that their internet was not working and we had to pay by cash (I am not sure why that would be an issue - I managed to live for 35 years without the Internet). In writing this review I am a bit shocked to see quite a few poor reviews. Hard to understand why, based on our experience this restaurant is brilliant.

13/10/2025: The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, even with our little girls. The atmosphere was romantic and quaint, with a lovely outdoor terrace. Superb food featuring fish, octopus, and Tropea red onions. Highly recommended.

16/01/2026: We celebrated my husband's birthday with a pizza tour. Delicious pizza, impeccable service, and beautiful decor. The owner is a true lady, capable of handling everything and anything, and has nothing to envy of other more renowned locations. Highly recommended and worth doing again.

27/12/2025: We were there in the middle of August and had a great meal, but today, December 27th, we were a bit disappointed. The seafood pasta had a bit of sand in it, the tuna steak was overcooked instead of seared, the paccheri with swordfish and eggplant was practically tasteless, and the grilled meat was so-so. Maybe it was just the tiredness of the Christmas holidays...

The atmosphere is meticulously designed, making you feel at ease. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. The menu is extensive and well-researched. Each course is prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The flavors are balanced in preparation, with a presentation that demonstrates great care, sophistication, and passion for cooking. A wide selection of wines is recommended by Pino, sommelier and owner of the restaurant, who will guide you with expertise and friendliness in choosing wines, creating perfect pairings to enhance every flavor. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and refined gastronomic experience or a pizza cooked in one of the two wood-fired ovens, with the added bonus of a direct sea view.

19/10/2025: Really enjoyed our meal here from start to finish. The service was so lovely and while no one else was there, as it was off season, he put on music and created a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious. We got local harvest olive oil, two days old, absolutely delicious as was the house red wine. The zuppa faglioli was molto Buono 🥰🥰😋 would definitely go back and was very happy with our little meal here 😊😊❤️❤️

05/11/2025: Good pizza cooked in an electric oven. The positive aspect is the variety of flavors and pizzas, both individual and group. Of all the pizzerias in Diamante, this one exceeds all expectations; definitely worth a visit.

10/09/2025: Beach reasonably well-equipped, no shower. Service at the Restaurant was good, the girl was very nice! The menu may be reduced due to the end of the season. Fried food at the mixed rotisserie was nothing special, we expected better. Fried food was also so-so. Too bad they don't do pizza and focaccia for lunch!

26/09/2025: Disappointing experience. The second week of September, the Cirò Marina waterfront was completely deserted and all the restaurants were closed. Only Malibú was open, so we settled in for a few snacks and perhaps a drink of the renowned Cirò wine. We ordered a Cirò red wine, which was served at 38°C (98.4°F), explaining that "red doesn't go in the refrigerator." We agreed, but not even at 40°C (104.4°F). In fact, once opened, the wine had turned to vinegar, to which the owner explained, "We're not in the bottle of wine." In short, two embarrassing moments later, we insisted on having it returned and opted for beer. To our surprise, he didn't charge us for it. We were surprised, because the outlook was dire. Tourism in Calabria could boom if only the Calabrians were more hospitable, more friendly, and less Calabrian.

19/12/2025: ✔️Very welcoming and friendly staff ✔️Excellent prices! ✔️Efficient and fast: just under 10 minutes passed between ordering and the pizzas arriving. ✔️Delicious pizza, prepared with great care and attention (the only flaw, but a very small one: the toppings on the pizza could be a little more generous), with soft edges and a nice airy interior. Authentic Neapolitan pizza. What more can I say? Truly a gem of a pizzeria in the Castrolibero area.

28/10/2025: pizza nella norma, prezzi convenienti ma servizio pessimo. peccato..l'ultima volta che ci sono stato almeno per quanto riguarda la cura verso il cliente, gli standard erano mooolto diversi...avrà cambiato gestione evidentemente.

22/02/2026: The food was really good, I can't say anything about that. The dishes were tasty and well-prepared. But unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the bill. We were charged a €2 service charge per person that wasn't listed anywhere on the menu. Furthermore, the prices on the menu didn't match those on the receipt. We were honestly shocked. As tourists, we felt very judged in this place: we were stared at as if we were stupid and often even laughed at. It made us feel really uncomfortable. It's a shame, because the food deserves better, but transparency and respect are essential. Two stars. ⭐⭐

27/08/2025: I was very pleased with the pizza I had at this pizzeria. The tomato sauce was good, and the crust was thin and crispy, just the way I like it. If you're passing through Catanzaro and craving pizza, I highly recommend it!
