19/02/2026: Housed in a renovated old building, but with limitations. Air conditioning is a bit noisy. Breakfast isn't very varied.

18/01/2026: An excellent property located in the city center. The staff is excellent and makes guests feel at home, and the rooms are spotless.

29/09/2025: I remembered the pizza differently, it wasn't bad but it was made with a type of dark flour

08/03/2026: Today, March 8, 2026, two people for €59.50. Nice place and decent service. The problem? The price and quality of the food. €19 for 6 bruschettas, embarrassing to say the least. Ten paccheri that tasted only of salt, and a scialatiello so raw that if thrown at someone's head, it would have caused a brain injury. I understand that these are the costs these days, and if you decide to go out for lunch, you have to take that into account. But absolutely not like this. I repeat, €19 for 6 bruschettas.

11/01/2026: Takeout mixed fried fish for me: calamari, shrimp, and a few octopus. I've attached a photo. Minimum quantity, maximum price: €20. Shrimp soaked in oil and with a dry, stringy texture, not juicy. Too much salt. First and last time, goodbye.

17/10/2025: We have had some great meals at some really good restaurants in our two weeks in Italy and this place was our run away favourite - we ate here 3 times. Our favourite dishes were the Fileja la Rossa (pasta with tomatoes, onion, olives and capers - perfect) and the Mastru Totu Pizza (topped with tomato, olives, capers, anchovies and burrata (like a cold Mozzarella but better)). Sitting outside in the small square beside the restaurant was a beautiful and peaceful place to eat. The service was brilliant. They were very apologetic that their internet was not working and we had to pay by cash (I am not sure why that would be an issue - I managed to live for 35 years without the Internet). In writing this review I am a bit shocked to see quite a few poor reviews. Hard to understand why, based on our experience this restaurant is brilliant.

13/10/2025: The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, even with our little girls. The atmosphere was romantic and quaint, with a lovely outdoor terrace. Superb food featuring fish, octopus, and Tropea red onions. Highly recommended.

29/08/2025: Super welcoming place. Food is plentiful, but above all, excellent quality. The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we booked to the end of the service. Highly recommended!

05/11/2025: Good pizza cooked in an electric oven. The positive aspect is the variety of flavors and pizzas, both individual and group. Of all the pizzerias in Diamante, this one exceeds all expectations; definitely worth a visit.

16/10/2025: Actually, it's an honest way to run a restaurant. Very proper. The restrooms, however, desperately need work.

12/10/2025: This meal was so average, my worst in italy. The environment was lovely but it seemed i was not welcome here at all. The guy that seated me went and sat down to look at his phone. Another man saw this and grabbed me a menu. The meal was fairly quick to come out. I was looking around and saw other tables had bread. Eventually I was given some but offered no table water. 2 Euro coperto for poor service. I do not recommend this place.

09/03/2026: My husband thought the pizza was too big. The pizza was too heavy and too sloppy. I've been eating pizza for so long that I've been eating it too long. It's been great! And the gelato is so delicious it's so hard to eat it. My husband used to say he didn't like pizza, that it was bready and dry. I decided to debunk this myth and I made the right choice when I chose your pizza. It was excellent! The ice cream was also incomparable compared to others we've tried.

16/02/2026: It was not possible to order one pizza and pasta, we had to order two pizzas, we gave up and ate other dishes.

09/12/2025: PIRAINELLA has always been a reliable choice. Excellent food, friendly and attentive service. The quality/price ratio is second to none. Friendly. Timeless.

09/11/2025: I have been eating there all the greenhouses for 8 months, I also celebrated my birthday together with my husband and the workers, we are in San Giovanni for work, we will bring back to Ragusa the pleasure of homemade food, stratospheric pizza and hospitality, they made us feel at home with kindness, availability, jokes and always with a smile.

23/09/2025: Best pizza for a long time, the base was fresh and tasty, plenty of juicy toppings on the pizza too. Cooked with fresh ingredients while we waited 😋😋 Can't wait to go back. Thanks for the huge pizza 🍕👍🙏

18/09/2025: 😋😋 Wow! 😋😋🍕🍕 After a long, hot days sail we saw the Pizzeria Barrel wasn't too far from where we were anchored 🤔 We decided to get a pizza to eat on the boat ⛵. So glad we did for €14 we got a pizza that even the two of us found filling and Frittata as a side. The pizza was just what we needed, hot, a large size and delicious 😋😋 The toppings were fresh and just right and the base was amazing ♥️, the potato Frittata were hot and chunky, we couldn't finish them all to be honest.
