08/03/2026: Today, March 8, 2026, two people for €59.50. Nice place and decent service. The problem? The price and quality of the food. €19 for 6 bruschettas, embarrassing to say the least. Ten paccheri that tasted only of salt, and a scialatiello so raw that if thrown at someone's head, it would have caused a brain injury. I understand that these are the costs these days, and if you decide to go out for lunch, you have to take that into account. But absolutely not like this. I repeat, €19 for 6 bruschettas.

11/01/2026: Takeout mixed fried fish for me: calamari, shrimp, and a few octopus. I've attached a photo. Minimum quantity, maximum price: €20. Shrimp soaked in oil and with a dry, stringy texture, not juicy. Too much salt. First and last time, goodbye.

29/08/2025: Super welcoming place. Food is plentiful, but above all, excellent quality. The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we booked to the end of the service. Highly recommended!

06/02/2026: We were greeted by the owner, who was very friendly. The pizza was okay and very cheap, with a medium pizza costing around €5-7 depending on the ingredients.

08/11/2025: I've been coming here for my favorite pizza for 6 years, and I've never been disappointed. Each pizza is made with such care that you can taste it from the first bite. I've brought all my family and friends here to try it. You can tell there are people behind it who truly love what they do. It's not just a place where you eat well, it's a place that exudes warmth, consistency, and respect for the customer. Thanks to those who work there, because maintaining this quality for so long is a rare thing!!

25/01/2026: I usually never open pizzas before getting home, today I did it as soon as I ordered, I opened the first one and maybe they forgot the toppings, really small and not very topped, when I got home I tried them they were really awful like a hard shoe sole, not risen on mine I had asked for the addition of a little spicy oil, but maybe the pizza chef wanted to joke and put the whole jar in really inedible I don't think I will ever recommend this pizzeria, I used to come here often when I was little but now it's really awful

24/01/2026: I always enjoy returning to Il Corsaro restaurant in Scalea. The pizzas are exceptional, and the cuisine offers excellent first and second courses. The owner, Gianluca, and his wife are cheerful and very friendly, creating a relaxed, family atmosphere. The ideal place for a quiet evening with good food. Highly recommended!

17/10/2025: We have had some great meals at some really good restaurants in our two weeks in Italy and this place was our run away favourite - we ate here 3 times. Our favourite dishes were the Fileja la Rossa (pasta with tomatoes, onion, olives and capers - perfect) and the Mastru Totu Pizza (topped with tomato, olives, capers, anchovies and burrata (like a cold Mozzarella but better)). Sitting outside in the small square beside the restaurant was a beautiful and peaceful place to eat. The service was brilliant. They were very apologetic that their internet was not working and we had to pay by cash (I am not sure why that would be an issue - I managed to live for 35 years without the Internet). In writing this review I am a bit shocked to see quite a few poor reviews. Hard to understand why, based on our experience this restaurant is brilliant.

13/10/2025: The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, even with our little girls. The atmosphere was romantic and quaint, with a lovely outdoor terrace. Superb food featuring fish, octopus, and Tropea red onions. Highly recommended.

15/11/2025: Let's forget it, I was there last night, in my opinion you need to change your job, pizza, let's say toasted pizza, I ordered tuna and onion out of politeness, I didn't make a fuss, the vegetable salad, my wife's worse than mine, also because for those that are expensive, no, I personally don't recommend it, waste of money... 29/12/2025: Calabrian to the core, even though I've lived abroad for years. I felt at home here. We were accompanied by members of this wonderful family who treated us to many local specialties. Having been here often, I can assure you that the envy of those who have written negative reviews is palpable. Believe me, these are purely subjective experiences or poor attempts to boycott a place that isn't a restaurant but a happy family ready to share their daily lives with you. Personally, I put my heart and soul into it, and in addition to returning, I recommend you visit. 29/12/2025: The first thing that strikes you is the warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellent wine, excellent appetizers, and excellent pizza. I highly recommend this place, especially for those looking to spend an evening with family. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

23/09/2025: Best pizza for a long time, the base was fresh and tasty, plenty of juicy toppings on the pizza too. Cooked with fresh ingredients while we waited 😋😋 Can't wait to go back. Thanks for the huge pizza 🍕👍🙏

18/09/2025: 😋😋 Wow! 😋😋🍕🍕 After a long, hot days sail we saw the Pizzeria Barrel wasn't too far from where we were anchored 🤔 We decided to get a pizza to eat on the boat ⛵. So glad we did for €14 we got a pizza that even the two of us found filling and Frittata as a side. The pizza was just what we needed, hot, a large size and delicious 😋😋 The toppings were fresh and just right and the base was amazing ♥️, the potato Frittata were hot and chunky, we couldn't finish them all to be honest. 05/11/2025: Good pizza cooked in an electric oven. The positive aspect is the variety of flavors and pizzas, both individual and group. Of all the pizzerias in Diamante, this one exceeds all expectations; definitely worth a visit.

25/01/2026: We visited the establishment with the intention of tasting real Italian lasagna and we were very disappointed. Instead of meat, they contained ham and it was a small portion for an unreasonable price. When we tried to complain, the service was unpleasant. I definitely do not recommend!
