17/06/2026: A restaurant with attentive service and good cuisine made with quality ingredients. The dishes are varied and well-presented, and the meat is excellent. The wine list is also good. Prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is friendly and cheerful. The only flaw is that the furnishings are a bit heavy and inconsistent with the Hostaria name, as well as some details (like the poster at the register) that are out of place. But I still recommend it and will return.

26/06/2026: Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior: this restaurant is a hidden gem. We had some doubts before entering, but as soon as we stepped inside, we changed our minds. The welcome was warm, and the staff treated us with almost tailor-made attention, guiding us through our meat selection. The quality of the ingredients is simply stellar: the cooking was perfect, and the meat melted in our mouths. A true hidden gem. Highly recommended for grill lovers seeking substance and excellence. Special praise to Signora Rita for her attention to intolerances and allergies.

02/05/2026: We stopped in after a photo shoot, by chance. A private atmosphere with friendly and discreet staff. The pizza is very good, and a small detail: they serve Coca-Cola in a glass bottle. Recommended

01/06/2026: Sometimes luck brings you pleasant discoveries right next door! We had grilled fish and fried calamari, followed by a shrimp cocktail appetizer. The service was friendly and the chef was both friendly and knowledgeable. The price was absolutely fair, and they greeted us with a smile (which is rare in many places these days). We'll definitely be back.

06/04/2026: The pasta was literally half raw, the sauce was salty and, in my opinion, not fresh, but still edible; the cut (poorly cut) and the portion size (5 small pieces) were meager. And considering the price... there was no cover charge listed anywhere, but I think it was around €4 per person, considering we also paid for a 10-month-old (I can understand the 3-and-a-half-year-old). There was no cover charge for water and coffee, but I think they were also around €5 combined. I've tried worse places, but also much better ones.

20/01/2026: Excellent restaurant with a balanced menu of delicious yet simple dishes. Recommended are the tuna millefeuille and the crème cotta with salted caramel.

07/03/2026: Really good pizza. I've never tried the restaurant, but it could still be a good choice. Why am I giving it 3 stars? Because in my opinion, the takeout service needs improvement. Calling to order two pizzas, then arriving and waiting almost 40 minutes (with the person who arrived about 10 minutes after me picking up the pizza just before me), and being told, after asking if there were any issues with the order, that calling isn't necessary and that it's better to go there directly, isn't good service. Wouldn't it have been easier to say this over the phone? I would have ordered it for home delivery. What's the point of agreeing on a time if you still have to wait? 🤷 All this on a quiet evening, with very few people in the restaurant. It's a shame because the pizza is good, one of the best in the area in my opinion. I hope this aspect improves.

08/07/2026: My wife and I popped in for a coffee ( I love good coffee.). I had an espresso she had a cappuccino. Both made with segafredo beans. We both felt this was the best cafe we had in our stay in the northern lakes. Total cost €2.90. Great value.

16/06/2026: We booked with The Fork. The place was empty. They sat us at a table at the entrance, near the window, exposed to the July sun. The air conditioning was off (probably because they didn't want to turn it on just for us), and we were sweating the whole time from the heat and lack of air. The food wasn't bad. The portions were average. The service was adequate, but you felt like you were "in the way." The bill was higher than expected. We commented that the room was too hot, but we felt like our opinion didn't matter. We won't be returning.

06/03/2026: Friendly service, delicious pizza with exceptionally good dough, and a lovely ambiance in the glass-enclosed conservatory; the location right on the street is still pleasant and easily accessible. The seafood pasta was tasty, but rather average compared to the pizza. The prices are fair, and the overall value is good. Just barely five stars and a great choice for a relaxed pizza experience on Lake Maggiore.

The owner of the B&B where we were staying (Villa Preziosa) recommended this place to us, and we thank him. We tried a Margherita, paccheri alla norma, and octopus Galician-style.
