03/11/2025: ⭐⭐⭐(Michelin). 37 dishes in nine courses at #32 in the world, Piazza Duomo (conveniently located in Piazza Duomo) in Alba. We chose the garden forward "The Journey" menu rather than the white truffle or Barolo menu. Colors, flavors, smells, textures, taste in a horrifically over-bright 100% LED spotlight lit dining room, cafeteria style floors and Barbiecore pink walls with amateur-night interpretive images painted on the too-bright pink wall. The carne cruda stuffed green olive was salty but amused my bouche, JC loved the shellfish version in the black olive. Little flowers on little cheese on cracker quite delicious. Savory salted caramel pudding with (mushroom?) broth was fantastic, and escarole sorbet intriguing. Pumpkin with a single chestnut didn't evoke autumn. 21-31-41-51-61-Hike salad, though a trendsetter, it's tough having seen it other places first, but ginger sesame dashi was very tasty. Uni was a massive, ammonia laden shame of a miss, yuck! (I didn't send it back, but it was that bad) Milazzo has ruined me for sea urchin that is not quite literally pulled out of the sea and eaten. Cod with onion and saffron veil (gel!) was undoubtedly the most perfectly cooked piece of fish this palate has had in the past 54 years. Very small and meaty borscht is exactly how it should be served! Caviar finally made an appearance on the crazily friable (not in a good way) savory beet Moon Pie. Hazelnut savory cruffin (my word, not theirs) was exceptional and location/season appropriate. Gels (er, hydrocolloids) everywhere... Like 20 of them. The main other trick was super thin micro-layers of things, a demonstration of technical skill, but not a good choice if you want your diner to taste your food. Chiaroscuro esoteric cuttlefish, meh... High minded but didn't go anywhere. Camomile (gel!!!) amidst demi glace gets lost with the small perfectly cooked lamb bite. White chocolate for dessert? Really three stars? Another total miss. Grapefruit sorbet cleansingly tasty. Cereal milk giving Momofuku 2006. Cookies, but no mignardises other than very good chocolate covered hazelnuts. This was a festive treat and a unique experience, I regret nothing. I realize that it is harder to lose stars than to gain them, but...

14/10/2025: Went to Alba for the White Truffle Festival and found this amazing family run restaurant for some lunch. Wine choices were excellent (obviously) and enjoyed the best pizza of our trip. We look forward to returning one day!
11/10/2025: The dinner menu was limited. None of the dishes we had were special — we’ve had much better ones at more casual places.

Fast and courteous service, a wide selection on the menu.
16/10/2025: Very welcoming and clean place; the staff is all really kind and helpful! The food is very good, generous portions, and excellent value for money. It seems impossible that a place like this exists in Alba...you eat well, you'll be satisfied, and you pay a fair price. I truly compliment the owners for everything! We'll return whenever we can.

20/10/2025: Terrible experience and total lack of professionalism
We booked over a month in advance, confident we were choosing a reputable restaurant. Today, we were told that the restaurant was "fully booked" for that date. This behavior was unacceptable, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. It's shameful to discover that our reservation, confirmed well in advance, was worthless.
If this is how they treat their customers, then it's clear this restaurant isn't trustworthy. I strongly advise against it to anyone seeking professionalism and respect: you won't find it here.

26/10/2025: I wanted to thank your staff again for helping us find a last-minute location for our dinner. The tasting menu was more than comprehensive, with excellent dishes and local selections. The service was truly attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to savor the essence of Piedmontese tradition in a beautiful location.

07/11/2025: We particularly enjoyed the tartar and the garnish dish, all appropriately paired with white truffle.
The gentleman who recommended the right wine and shared a bit of truffle history was very kind.

23/10/2025: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, right in the middle of truffle season. The dishes are sublime and they offer special truffle-themed menus. The prices are a little high but justified given the location of the restaurant and the quality of the service and dishes.
21/10/2025: We had another culinary evening of outstanding quality. The service and the food were once again a perfect match. We'll be back.

02/11/2025: Friendly and attentive service, excellent regional cuisine including truffle dishes with generous servings of truffles. Wine list has plenty of regional choices an also from other areas. Recommended by locals, tends to get busy during truffle season, so reservations are recommended. Pet friendly.

14/11/2025: I only went for lunch. The location is truly beautiful. The lunch was good, the prices fair, the service good. We tried almost everything on the menu, including the addition of truffle. The tartare was exquisite, the tagliatelle with white ragù was excellent, the veal was unusual but good, and the tagliolini with butter and truffle were very good. Although the first grating of truffle wasn't good, we asked for more truffle and the second grating was good, which encouraged us to order a second helping... because 100g of pasta left us with a bit of room. Highly recommended for the good value. The wines we drank, chosen by us and also recommended, were also excellent.

Kitchen delivers outstanding and creative presentations of the local produce, game, dairy and meats. Been here several times over the years and will be back.
