28/09/2025: An absolutely unforgettable experience at Piazza Duomo in Alba, led by the extraordinarily talented chef Eduardo Crippa. What stood out most for me was not only the exquisite food but the impeccable service—warm, professional, and almost theatrical in its flawless choreography. The young staff carried everything with grace and humor, creating a truly joyful atmosphere.
It felt like watching a perfectly rehearsed dance: courses arriving in unison for both of us, glasses refilled seamlessly, and plates whisked away the moment they were finished—so light on their feet, I was in awe. It’s no surprise that Piazza Duomo has earned its three Michelin stars.
We chose The Journey—eight incredible courses. Just when we thought we couldn’t possibly eat another bite, a new dish would arrive and somehow we found room to savor it all over again. The staff’s knowledge was exceptional; they anticipated every question, explained each dish with clarity, and even surprised us with an extra course tailored specifically to our preferences—something they had thoughtfully asked about before our reservation.
A dining experience that was not just a meal, but a true work of art.

18/09/2025: We were looking for a place to eat typical Piedmontese food in Alba, and this place was recommended to us by the girl we checked in with.
We were really happy we took her word for it and tried this restaurant. It was truly delicious, and especially the staff was incredibly kind.
The location is also very beautiful; it feels like being in a boutique, so beautiful and well-kept.
Excellent menu choices and a wide selection on the wine list.
Unfortunately, we were too full to try the entire menu. It will be an excuse to return.

30/09/2025: Exceptional place, super welcoming and helpful staff. Fantastic explanations of the dishes. A table overlooking the kitchen—it's amazing to watch the chef cook. Easy to get to, with plenty of parking. Sublime dinner, fantastic service, super affordable prices, especially these days. The wine tasting was equally good. The chef and his wife even came over to chat at the table after the service. We'll definitely be back when the menu changes.
27/09/2025: Visiting this restaurant is much more than just a simple dinner: it's a true sensory journey. The Michelin star is well-deserved and is reflected in every detail, from the impeccable welcome to the harmonious flavors of the dishes.
The tasting menu was a crescendo of emotions; each course was a work of art in both presentation and flavor.
The service was impeccable: courteous and attentive, but never intrusive. The staff is highly trained and ready to explain each dish with compassion, further enriching the experience.
We were enchanted by our waiter Andrea's stories.
Without taking anything away from anyone, because, as mentioned, everyone was extremely knowledgeable.
The setting is elegant and refined, perfect for enjoying every moment of the meal.
We also really appreciated that at the end of the dinner, chef Andrea stopped by each table to get to know us individually.
A restaurant that offers not only excellent food, but a complete experience that lingers in the heart and on the palate.
An unmissable experience for those who love haute cuisine.
We will definitely be back.

22/09/2025: ***Avoid*** The restaurant is a complete joke. Sat at a table for 20 minutes without anyone saying anything to us. We ended up just leaving. Stay away!
**Edit**: Also, look at their response. At no time did we insist in sitting. We asked for a table and you sat us there! Then you chose to ignore us for 20 minutes. When we finally said something to you, you rudely said you would get to us in order. You couldn't even bring us some water? Why on earth would we continue to sit there when you said you weren't going to wait on us? If you weren't so rude, I wouldn't have left a review. But yes, seeing your response, I'm 100% happy that I left a 1 star review. Take care!
Also, I think it's funny that everytime you get a bad review you try to blame it on the patron. Every. Single. Time.
08/09/2025: Fine and good. Lovingly decorated. We had various antipasti to start, followed by small dishes like salads, pasta, or soup. Language was a struggle, and my poor Italian was a challenge, but we managed. We were kindly informed that smoking isn't allowed outside either, which wasn't a problem.

04/10/2025: A traditional Piedmontese menu with well-executed and tasty dishes: the beef tartare was excellent, the tajarin with rich ragù sauce was rich, the veal braised in Barolo was tender and flavorful, and we finished with a bunet (a typical Italian pasta dish) accompanied by a truly delicious hazelnut gelato. The price was fair for the quality and the comprehensive menu. We had lunch outside in the piazza in front of the restaurant. Service could be improved, but it was very friendly and professional. We'll definitely try again.

The scent of truffles filled the air, adding a luxurious touch to the whole evening. We also really enjoyed the biodynamic wine – it was excellent and paired perfectly with the meal. Highly recommended!

The Tajarin and Ravioli were also delicious

I called to make a reservation, and a man rudely told me they didn't have any seats and hung up on me! RUDE!

30/09/2025: Our visit to the APE wine bar was an all-around wonderful experience. The sommelier looked after us with great expertise and passion and recommended an excellent wine – just the thing for us. Afterwards, we were able to sample all the aperitifs in the bar and had the opportunity to purchase our favorites directly – a personal and very friendly gesture that impressed us.
The food was excellent: fresh, creative, and perfectly matched to the wines. The atmosphere is warm and inviting; you immediately feel welcome. APE wine bar is a place we would gladly return to – for great wines, outstanding food, and genuine hospitality. Thank you.
27/09/2025: At 8pm, with people sitting down for an aperitif, they told us that we couldn't sit down because they had suspended the bar service due to difficulties in managing the restaurant's clientele. However, despite the fact that they had been offering bar service since the 6pm, the waitress replied "we're not a bar, we're a restaurant." 1 star is a must.

14/10/2025: A fully restored farmhouse in the heart of the Langhe region, offering traditional dishes revisited with great care. The beautiful interiors alone are worth a visit. The service is attentive and friendly.
13/10/2025: Was so pleased with this experience in the beautiful hills of Piedmonte. The staff were so friendly and patient with all our questions. The rooms were charming and i especially loved the deep claw footed tub. And of course the food was amazing-Umberto and his staff go above and beyond to create flavors and meals that are beyond food but experiences of the beautiful land they source their ingredients from. Stayed at a four star hotel the next night and it didn't not even get close to matching the comfort, hospitality, and beauty of Casa Scaparone. So grateful we discovered this place and were able to make amazing memories here.
