22/12/2025: First time in Italy that I did not feel welcome. Maybe they have a perspective of foreigns. The place close at 2:30pm and we arrived at 1:40pm. Not sure it was because our skin color. Otherwise, it's very affordable.

22/12/2025: I'll start by saying I've ALWAYS had a good experience and have always told my friends it was a great experience. Unfortunately, yesterday wasn't the case: it was all because of the waiter who served us, who was unprofessional in his manners. For example, he walked past me with his arm around me to serve and I almost wiped my mouth on his black shirt. The wait was biblical. We arrived at 12:30 and finished at 2:45 (we had an appetizer, first course, and coffee). He served me pumpkin pie and I almost found it in my lap. He was spiteful and disrespectful. I told the owners and they apologized: out of respect for you, I recommend you "get rid of him," he's damaging your business. We were there on Sunday the 21st at table 5, so you know who I'm talking about. Best regards.

18/04/2026: I've been coming to La Lanterna for many years. The service is always quick and impeccable. Good pizzas, and the green pepper fillet is excellent. But times change. Last night we ordered a seafood salad with Ascoli olives, buttered spinach, and grilled salmon. Tens of minutes pass, and only the seafood and spinach salad arrives. I ask for the Ascoli olives, but still nothing. I ask again, and they finally arrive, saying they'd lost my order. Meanwhile, I'm getting tired of waiting and losing my appetite for the salmon. I ask, and they tell me they'd lost my order again, this time for the salmon, which I ask them to cancel. I ask for the bill, and what does the waitress do? She brings the bill to my girlfriend instead of me! The service is terrible and makes me lose the desire to eat out. A restaurant in a beautiful location, but it's completely ruined. I recommend trying other restaurants around there; there are plenty.

16/04/2026: I've been getting takeout pizza every week from this restaurant for a couple of years now. In my opinion, it's one of the best in the city center. I've also had the opportunity to eat at the outdoor tables, and the view of the square is beautiful. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and polite. You can tell the owners care deeply about their restaurant, and this is reflected in the staff, who are always impeccable. Recommended for lunch or dinner in the center of Padua!

01/05/2026: Excellent food quality and a stunning location. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par: we had to repeat our orders several times, and at the cashier we were charged for items I'd clearly stated we didn't want to pay. The service definitely needs work. Otherwise, I recommend the place.

30/04/2026: Average restaurant. I had the €15 fixed menu for lunch, but I saw some nice pizzas passing by, and I'll try those next time.

19/07/2026: I was there yesterday (July), two of my tickets were expiring in August, so I guess I was a last-minute snatcher. It was a very nice place, and there were not many people (certainly due to the temperature and the season). I can say I was happy with the pools, which were really beautiful, and with the bar inside the pool. The only downside was the water, which wasn't very clean; in fact, there were several things on the bottom of the pool... Another fairly obvious downside is the high price of everything in there. The quality of the sandwiches was terrible and they were ridiculously expensive. I asked for a drink from the bar and they served it watered down... Otherwise, I was very happy.

19/07/2026: A decidedly disappointing experience. I find the policy prohibiting bringing water and food from outside incomprehensible and absurd. In 2026, it's unthinkable that a facility that claims to be wellness-oriented would completely ignore the needs of those following a specific diet or suffering from food intolerances. Not everyone can consume what's sold inside, and the feeling is that of being forced to purchase exclusively from the facility's refreshment points. This decision seems driven more by commercial interests than customer service. Wellbeing should also mean respecting individual needs, not imposing rigid rules that penalize some users. Such a policy truly leaves a bitter taste in the mouth and, frankly, will make me consider other facilities in the future.

08/08/2026: Very disappointing experience, especially as a family with children. We came to the restaurant as a family of four and sat down politely. We wanted to order two pizzas, one dessert and drinks. We were then told that, because it was evening, a table for four could not be given to us for such an order. We honestly could not understand why this would not be considered a sufficient order for a family of four. What made the situation particularly unpleasant was the way it was handled, in front of our children. We were friendly and smiling from the beginning. We even asked whether we could speak German or Turkish. The waiter simply replied, “English.” We had no problem with that at all and immediately continued in English. However, we already had the feeling that he did not really want to serve us. He approached our table without even having a pen or paper to take our order, and then told us that our order was not enough to justify a table for four. We cannot say for certain whether this had anything to do with our language or background, and we do not want to accuse anyone of discrimination without proof. But as a family, we definitely felt unwelcome and disrespected. We left without ordering anything. It was especially disappointing because we had spent the whole day enjoying Venice and simply wanted to finish our evening with two pizzas and a dessert. Afterwards, we read several other reviews mentioning unfriendly service, and unfortunately our experience was very similar. The issue was not the price or the food. We never even got the chance to try the food. It was the way we were treated as guests. A little friendliness and respect would have made a big difference, especially towards a family with children.

25/02/2026: This is a place you have to go eat when you haven't eaten in three days...super generous portions, nice place, the counter at the entrance is an ancient ship, a galleon, with cannons protruding from the sides. Everything was good, the service was fast, and the staff was kind and welcoming. N.B.: We only had a first course, and that was enough for us.
