12/11/2025: We were not in the restaurant. It was closed after the season like most restaurants and shops. But we were staying in a local hotel above the restaurant. Which we liked.

25/10/2025: My favorite place in Veneto! After several visits here ( a cooking class with friends, a two-day basket-weaving workshop, a date day learning to make the original lasagna recipe, and most recently another group class), I can honestly say this place feels like a true Italian “home away from home.” Every visit has been warm, hands-on, and full of laughter. Mauro and Bari make you feel like family while teaching traditional techniques with so much pride and passion. If you’re in the Veneto region and want an authentic, heart-filled experience that combines incredible food, community, and creativity, this is the place to go!

12/10/2025: The winding path leading up to the restaurant next to a small church is breathtaking. The owners are delightful and highly knowledgeable. The menu ranges from exceptional garden dishes to seafood and meat dishes: incredible flavors. The atmosphere is calm and warm; only the soothing background music could be changed. The courtesy and empathy of the lady in charge are a huge plus. Recommended for those seeking an intimate, high-quality dinner. The bill is balanced, without being overpriced.

12/10/2025: A lovely trattoria serving exclusively seafood. The dishes are very good and generous. The staff is very friendly, courteous, and punctual. Reservations are essential.

25/09/2025: Excellent dishes with very fresh fish and very attentive service. Definitely worth returning to try the other dishes.

04/11/2025: We stopped for lunch on our way down from Trentino. It had a lake view, a beautiful street, and a super cute place! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. Great for kids; they provide a placemat, cutlery, a plastic cup, and a high chair. The first courses were delicious. The wait was almost non-existent. Well done!

26/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant by chance. The atmosphere is small but very welcoming. The staff are very kind, attentive, and polite. We had a great time. I gave the food a 4 because the amatriciana pasta was too spicy...thank you.

30/11/2025: The appetizers are good, the pizzas are excellent, and the staff is very friendly. I recommend it.

25/11/2025: On Sunday we were guests at a birthday party at this restaurant, and I must say I was delighted. First of all, compliments to the chef, because the dishes were delicious and well-prepared. The staff was polite and friendly. The bathrooms were clean, and the changing area was excellent for those with small children. The rooms were also well-divided, offering more than adequate privacy. We'll be happy to return!

16/11/2025: Very well decorated with exquisite details and very well organized and clean. You can eat à la carte or I can create menus. The dishes are not bad, in my opinion the service could be improved, the girls are good but they can get a bit confusing, the dishes were not brought all at once but rather somewhat in shifts, let's say that apart from the service a little better, the rest is not bad.

06/11/2025: We’d love to recommend Il Tavernino restaurant when in Sottomarina, Chioggia! We went for lunch couple of weeks ago and we were treated so very well! From the moment we opened the front door to the moment we said grazie, arrivederci. We were welcomed very, very warmly and serviced the entire time with big attention and professionalism — something you won’t see so often around Italy unless you’re in a Michelin stars restaurant. The food was amazing — clean and beautiful utensils and plates, loved the fabric of the tablecloths and napkins, pretty glasses, beautifully arranged food, and oh my so delicious! As a person that doesn’t like coffee, that day I had a bad headache so I ordered one, and I must say I loved it! Very tasty! Oh! And how about the deserts! Please, order at least one! Just one little something to the chef — you have a beautiful smile! Do wear it more often ☺️🥂💕 Thank you il Tavernino staff! You are incredible! We’ll for sure be visiting you again when in the area!

06/10/2025: We chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding in Venice, and it was simply magical! The view, the atmosphere... everything came together to make this moment unforgettable. The team was lovely and very attentive, the meal excellent, and the wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. 20/09/2025: Dining on Grand Canal, across from Basilica Santa Maria was quite an experience. Delicious, high quality food and immaculate service. If you expect massive dishes, like most average American tourists in the reviews, there are other restaurants available. This is for beauty and quality. Hemingway risotto was 10/10.

23/10/2025: A refined experience for the palate and the accompanying flavors. The service on all fronts deserves top marks. The plating and structure of the dishes are perfectly balanced. Highly recommended, also for the well-balanced prices.

12/11/2025: A very nice hotel, well located in the center but also slightly removed from the city center, yet still easily accessible. A very warm welcome, with a special mention for Nicola. The breakfast was truly delicious, with a very tempting and generous buffet served by attentive staff. The rooms were very comfortable and tastefully decorated. In short, a great place that I recommend to my best friends.

22/11/2025: Superlative dinner. The cured meats were carefully selected, the pasta dishes were amazing, and the ragù lived up to its name. The fillet steak was excellent, paired with three types of salt. The dessert and limoncello were worthy of a wonderful dinner. Excellent service, and the chef who came out to greet us… the icing on the cake. I can't wait to go back!

10/11/2025: ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL! As they say... Beautiful and talented! We stopped for lunch on a random Monday while traveling from Turin to Trieste. We had a wonderful meal: a speck appetizer with fried gnocco, a first course of bigoli with horse meat ragù, and an excellent Valpolicella red. The menu is varied, with generous portions and flavorful dishes. The wine list is also well-stocked. Kudos to the staff; I can't wait to return.

25/08/2025: Impeccable service with excellently prepared dishes made with quality ingredients. The card with a quote or saying that each guest can take out at the end of the meal is beautiful. I'll be back.

02/08/2025: One of my favorite restaurants! Quality food (unbeatable risottos!), welcoming atmosphere in the winter and very pleasant in the summer too with the summer garden. Raffaele and Paolo are TOP managers!!
