Bacarandino In Venezia

The pasta is excellent, the pistachio soufflé incredible, and the service perfect! I 100% recommend this place in a very nice location!

A truly friendly and local restaurant for discovering Venetian cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed the squid ink pasta and the orecchiette with scallops. Much better than other, higher-rated restaurants.

Ten days ago, on our first evening in Venice, we went to Bacarandino. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was excellent. And the dessert with the four mini cheesecakes was absolutely sensational! It was the best meal we had during our four-day visit to Venice.

Excellent atmosphere and service. I really enjoyed the restaurant's ambiance, the service, and the food was perfect! The wine and cocktails were also delicious. It's a hidden gem. Perfect for dinner and a relaxing afternoon.

The service was a good combination of relaxed, attentive and friendly, and I had outstandingly delicious lamb chops, with a glass of Chianti. I loved the quiet(er) square, the ambiance was lovely.

All the food we ate was amazing. The seafood risotto was delicious. The service and atmosphere were equally wonderful.

Excellent food, well presented. The same doesn't apply to the reservation service, however. I call at 6:30 PM and they tell me a table is available for 9/9:30 AM. I reply, "Perfect." Before closing, they add, "See you at 9 because there's a table available by then!" We arrive right on time. There are a few people waiting. The receptionist tells us that if we want, since we have two small children, instead of waiting we can go to the other location, also nearby, which also belongs to them. We go to take a look and decline the invitation since the restaurant we've chosen is the one shown in the online photos, not the one at the other location. The receptionist seems annoyed by this, so he kind of grounded us by making us wait a whole hour outside in the cold! When it's finally our turn, two tables for four become available. We ask them not to seat us at the one next to the door, since it was constantly being opened and closed by them coming and going from one location to the other, and considering that the other three customers who needed to be seated also arrived after us. No way, still grounded, we have to dine in front of the door. Poor organization and extreme rudeness.

Besides having a truly delicious meal, with a more than fair price-quality ratio for Venice, special mention goes to the entire dining room staff: they're kind, polite, professional, friendly, and attentive to the customer even when the dining room is full—an absolute added value that's increasingly rare. Thanks to them, we've got a new favorite spot in Venice. I recommend reserving a table (a general rule that applies almost everywhere these days).
