Rovigo has several high-quality restaurants. Alicanto is certainly one of them, and as a seafood restaurant, I'd easily say it's one of the best, both for quality and creativity. Tonight I had a scallops appetizer with pistachio crackers on a basil and goat cheese cream, and for the main course, orecchiette with cherry tomatoes, tuna, feta, and olives. I also tried the spaghettoni aglio e olio (spaghetti with garlic and oil), with scampi and lemon crumbs, the tagliatelle with prawns, and the fried sardines with onions, pine nuts, and grapes. It was truly a riot of flavors, made with excellent ingredients, expertly prepared. I definitely plan on returning.

For work in Rovigo, Alicante amazed us with its quality, professionalism, accuracy, and kindness. A refined, yet unconventional, menu of high quality, and a top-notch wine cellar! Thanks to the staff, especially Francesco, who is knowledgeable and an excellent bartender!

We had lunch at this restaurant yesterday, April 11, 2026. There were four of us. It's a very nice, clean, and well-kept place. We ate outside, in the internal courtyard, which is ideal for this purpose, as there's only a small amount of foot traffic. The food was truly exquisite: well-made, well-cooked, edible and digestible, like grandma's cooking, with fresh ingredients and prepared with modern flair and originality. The service was professional, yet warm and friendly, like a family's. The atmosphere was beautiful and well-kept.

I stopped by for a drink, specifically a jin tonic, which was perfectly proportioned and very thirst-quenching. Then, the dessert was delicious and beautifully presented. The dessert in question was a cheesecake with fig jam accompanied by an Oreo-style cookie. The place is welcoming and very beautiful.
