09/05/2024: Very relaxed and comfortable environment. Excellent service. Refined cuisine and well presented on the table. Right portions, you won't leave hungry. The wine list is well stocked. The only note is the abundance of splendid salt crystals in some things. Very effective, but with half of Italians fighting against the pressure... or it's being debugged. Unfortunately, the central location condemns you to search for parking.

23/04/2024: Sempre un piacere andare alla Cucina Sant'Andrea di Empoli. Si mangia con vista sulle mura del castello del '500. Il personale è gentilissimo, il posto d'eccellenza. Un menù prevalentemente di pesce, di carne "solo" tagliatelle al ragù, che abbiamo preso, buonissime e la tagliata. Ci accolgono con uno stuzzichino di polpettine di pesce. Poi abbiamo preso un gran fritto di mare con verdurine, ravili di pesce e insalatina di mare tiepido con olive taggiasche, una ricciola e calamari ripieni, tagliata di tonno. Tutto molto, molto buono. Finito con dolce e una tagliata di frutta superlativa. Prezzo conforme al cibo. Certamente un posto da ritornarci. PS Dimenticavo: alla fine pasticcini offerti dalla casa.

04/08/2024: I’ve no idea why this place is only 4.1. I’d leave 6 stars if I could. First, it has the atmosphere that puts you at ease, the quintessentially Italian way. I took a small table by the door on a quiet Sunday evening, with a wonderful view. Being the only non-Italian there made it even more special. It’s a place where elderly couples come for dinner, fathers meet sons, families come by and say a familiar “hi” to the owner and staff, folks from around the corner pick up their pizzas. The place felt one of the most local I’ve visited in Italy. Such a contrast to the rest of Florence centre. Second, the food. 10/10. Wild boar pasta and tiramisu - unforgettable. I have the feeling the rest of the menu is superb too. All at completely reasonable prices. Third - service. Top-notch but unpretentious. Attentive, fast, friendly. So happy I came across it by chance, and definitely would come back!

02/08/2024: Very good restaurant! We went on the recommendation of the receptionist at our hotel and we liked it so much that we went again the next day and had dinner there again. One of the best pizzas I have ever eaten in my life. And what to say about the tiramisu... out of 10! Plus the prices are quite reasonable.

28/07/2024: Locazione splendida!!! Personale di sala ristorante eccellente!!! Devo però segnalare che la Pepata di cozze non era soddisfacente, cozze piccole e secche. Un consiglio allo chef nella calamarata io eviterei di metterci la bufala...

23/06/2024: Una cena in compagnia a dir poco ottima. Personale gentile e cordiale. Il cibo ottimo. Abbiamo preso 5 bottiglie di vino un antipasto che abbiamo condiviso un po’ tutti un primo a testa e bistecca per tutti, caffè e ammazzacaffè. Tutto spettacolare!! Cibo di ottima qualità e soprattutto preparato con passione! Il prezzo alla fine per tutto quello che abbiamo preso era più che giusto considerando anche la location in cui ti trovi. Dato che era una bella serata abbiamo deciso di mangiare fuori, sono stata molte volte al ristorante (mangiando sempre all’interno) ma devo dire che mangiare fuori nel giardino è tutta un altra storia. Posto bellissimo e curato al dettaglio! SUPER CONSIGLIATO!!

04/08/2024: i saw plenty of reviews highly recommending the cheesecake, they bounced right off me like superman. thankfully my girlfriend had the wherewithal to put us down for a serve of cheesecake. wow. you know the scene in ‘ratatouille’ when the little guy eats the cheese and the strawby and it goes all fireworks and such? it was like that. please, get the cheesecake, i implore you. pizza was also awesome, we were super keen to try the tartufina, ostensibly their specialty, but honestly the margherita eclipsed it! just a classic style done impeccably. not to bash the tartufina, also delicious in its own right. tiramisu also deserves an honourable mention, a scrumptious accompaniment to the aforementioned cheesecake. ciao ciao

14/07/2024: We went with high expectations and were disappointed: mediocre hot starter, pasta with lobster good and plentiful, but the carapace was not completely cut and they didn't bring us the tools to do it, in the millefeuille the pastry was thick and hard. We were served the first course not at the same time and when we pointed this out the waiter gave an inappropriate response, rather than apologising. Without wine, we spent 125 euros: too many for the quality of what we ate. We won't be returning

01/08/2024: What can I say except that their pizzas are divine. Everything is good and local. The flavors are fabulous and multiple on the same pizza. Small downside on the paid bottle of still water, but French deformation obliges.. But the staff is great. If you have to have a pizzeria in Florence even if it's a Neapolitan pizzeria!!

01/08/2024: It’s not complicated, it’s the best pizza of my life! I had an eggplant parmesan pizza, incredible. I couldn't finish it because it was so filling, and that's a crime!

18/08/2024: Pantarei is a really nice place out of the madding crowd of tourist Florence! It has a very varied menu but I always go for the Calzone. Somehow it reminds me of my young years!!! You cannot find easily a Calzone these days: pizzas have become fussy and “complicated” with lots of bizarre ingredients so a plain and tasty and simple Calzone is my personal treat!!!!

16/08/2024: I often come to this restaurant and I think it is the best pizzeria in the area and the best restaurant in the area. The pinot noir is excellent, which I always request when booking. I recommend the fillet, as is the fish, which is always very fresh.

13/07/2024: I have never found such rude staff anywhere. A waiter, or manager who sends customers to hell (thinking they won't be seen or heard from) just because they asked if it's possible to change tables, in my opinion should change jobs. Dishes presented very badly, a dessert that was all "scrambled"... Reading the reviews we had read that the portions were generous, perhaps all except ours... I'm sorry to give a negative review, but when it's needed, it's needed! Needless to say, we will never go back...

30/06/2024: Sufficient level menu, good service, high price compared to quality. However, the thing that bothered me the most was that even though there were four of us, they put us at a table clearly for two people, making us "suffer" for the whole evening. To be reviewed.

08/08/2024: Qualità scarsa e servizio scortese. Ho speso 38 € per un polpo alla catalana( poco e secco) e un cous cous di mare( bollente e insapore). Quando mi sono alzata per andare in bagno il gestore ha dato il mio tavolo a una coppia. Pazzesco! In più, quando sono andata a pagare non mi ha fatto lo scontrino, cosa che ho chiesto prontamente! MAI PIÙ.

23/07/2024: Rather talkative manager, but very nice, pleasant entertainer. He spoke about the family origins of the place and about... Fish. Excellent mixed fried dish: pink prawns and squid with fried vegetables. Perfect cooking, no taste of oil in the mouth or even on the plate. Adequate price. We had passed it many times in the car. This time we arrived on foot happy we did. I recommend it.

01/07/2024: We picked up this restaurant for our wedding dinner. What they managed was amazing. We simply booked time. But what a suprrise was wating for us😍 Garden was decorated just for our group. Beautiful. And then food started. Simply amazing. Terresa and her staff made this evening unforgettable.

22/05/2024: Abbiamo festeggiato la comunione della mia figliola questa domenica, la parola per definire la giornata è: Assolutamente MERAVIGLIOSA.😍 Il posto sistemato fino al ultimo dettaglio,ristorante,tavoli,apparecchiature,giardino,fiori…tutto. Il mangiare SPETTACOLARE,non detto solo da me,ma dai miei 46 invitati…il nero di seppia,il polpo,il tartar di tonno,la millefoglie di branzino,la frittura,il pane fatto in casa,il arancio…ne parliamo della torta??!!!!!non solo era bellissima,era buonissima!!!! Festa riuscita in tutto,e per fortuna anche il tempo ci ha accompagnato in modo di far splendere la location in tutto il suo splendore ,insomma…giornata da 10.🥰 Un ringraziamento speciale a Teresa e a tutta la sua famiglia che con tanto amore portano avanti questo posto favoloso facendo sentire il calore e la passione per questo mestiere,e fanno diventare Le grotte d’ Arno un oasi perfetto. La comunione della prossima figliola certamente la rifarò qua. UN BACIO TERESA
