05/08/2025: I was looking for an authentic Italian restaurant to eat at. Fed up of all the tourist restaurants, I did some research and found Tortuga. I’m so glad I did.
This was a long walk from the city of Florence, but was well worth it. This was the best meal we’d had in Florence. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even with the language barrier.
Fantastic, fresh food. My son had the spicy salami pizza, whilst I had the salmon. It was delicious!
I can’t wait to go back again!

14/07/2025: A few days ago I returned for lunch here after a few years, and it's always excellent! Fresh fish, cooked with respect for the ingredients and without overpowering the flavors of the sea.
The tuna steak was superb, melting in the mouth. The fried anchovies were also excellent.
The atmosphere is refined and welcoming, and Ginevra's service is a plus: attentive, kind, and always smiling.
L'angolo del mare confirms its position as one of the best seafood restaurants in Florence.
30/06/2025: One of the best seafood restaurants in Florence. They have a wonderful wine list as well. Make sure to make reservations in advance though as they have limited seating and is always booked up.

17/06/2025: Good. The pizza. It is a thin pizza (if you want it thick you have to ask for double dough); I was skeptical before tasting it, but I have to say that it was crispy to the right point, topped with good ingredients. The place is decorated in a nice way. Very good

03/08/2025: This small restaurant offered excellent service and had a delicious (excellent) meal. The T-bone steak was truly fantastic, unparalleled. In our opinion, authentic Italian food and very affordable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a bit tricky to find because the street is currently being dug up. We ate here again the next day. Absolutely recommended!
