Very tasty pizzas and good wine, but unfortunately the ambience is not all that appealing.

Service was nice and the food was good as well, looked great. Just missed something, but I cant tell what it is.

The pizza was really delicious, nothing to say! The only two slightly negative things were the 45 minute wait and the €4 cover charge, which I mean... seems excessive to me. After eating we had to get up immediately because the next shift was starting... we ate in 10 minutes with water at our throats.

Pizzas topped with excellent ingredients, dough made with high quality flour, fast and courteous service. Normal prices if you carefully evaluate what you are eating.

Very good pizza despite the high crust, the special pizzas are also recommended.

Fantastic pizzas, among the best I have ever eaten, refined but tasty and with abundant toppings; the starters didn't disappoint either. The staff is friendly and professional. The price is a little above average, but it is possible to find discounts on TheFork, and in any case I would still recommend this pizzeria.

I tried Hortus quite recently, after hearing so many good things about it. I must say that everything I had heard was true, Hortus is in my opinion the best pizzeria in Florence. The refinement and quality of the ingredients together with a superlative dough make their pizzas exceptional. I tried the 'terra e mare' pizza (which I recommend and which left me speechless due to the celebration it caused in my mouth) and the pizza of the week (pumpkin and sausage, which despite being superlative surprised me much less compared to the first pizza mentioned). As an appetizer I tried the montanarine encore, very good, with a light and not at all intrusive fried food. This appetizer immediately makes you understand the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs in the kitchen. Alas I have something to say about the service and the place itself. The service, although always friendly and smiling, was unfortunately very slow and we had to wait a long time before having our dishes, water, etc. As for the venue, excluding the beautiful and impactful main room, I found it quite confusing with somewhat questionable solutions, such as the choice to place the cash register in the cabinet with the glasses in the middle of a tiny corridor between the three rooms , which inevitably led to customers being in the way of the waiters, or even leaving all the bottles of wine, open and not on a table in the central room among all the diners. In my opinion the bill was more than fair, for two with two pizzas, an appetizer, water and cover charge we spent €50 However, as mentioned at the beginning of the review, their exceptional pizzas are worth trying, so highly recommended!!!

Servizio al tavolo cortese, location accogliente a due passi dal duomo di Firenze, la pizza eccellente curata nei minimi dettagli . Gode la vista e il palato .

In questo ristorante ho mangiato un buon antipasto di coccoli. Come pizza gournet la red passion e la norma. La red passion aveva come ingredienti il prosciutto di Parma, riduzione di pomodoro rosso, stracciatella, carpaccio di tartufo, la pizza era molto ricca di sapori. La norma con crema di melanzane e melanzane fritte, ricotta salata.
