02/08/2025: I can't review the food, since once we were seated, we were practically two centimeters from the other tables, both to the right and left. That may be fine for foreign tourists, but objectively, there's a limit to everything. I appreciated the waitress who didn't bat an eyelid when we told her we were leaving given the situation (they'd already brought water).

30/07/2025: Welcoming and smiling staff (an aspect not to be underestimated), good food, carefully prepared.

26/08/2025: I've been to this beach resort for lunch and dinner and have always had a great time. The food is good, especially fish, the staff is friendly, and the location is truly beautiful. I recommend going there for dinner because the atmosphere in the evening is very welcoming and relaxing.

18/08/2025: I'm not reviewing the bathroom because I only went here for dinner, which was excellent. Prices are a bit high, but they're in line with the quality of the food.

Pescato del giorno col profumo e il sapore di mare. La titolare gentile, preparata, professionale. Musica piacevole. Peccato che siamo lontani. Ci tornerei per assaggiare tutti quello che offrono

16/06/2025: Fuimos al restaurante para una cata de vinos privada y fue una gran iniciación a Italia. El anfitrión era tan atractivo y agradable que todos disfrutamos de la isla en una excursión rápida de un día. Recomendaría encarecidamente el vino - cata.

13/07/2025: Ristorante in una bellissima location , ottimamente arredato. Siamo stati accolti con cura da personale e dal proprietario. Pranzo a base di pesce , abbiamo preso una tempura di crostacei , spaghetti mono grano alle vongole ( ottimi) , baccalà e frittura. Tutto ben cucinato e presentato . Merita senz'altro una visita e consigliamo vivamente .

07/06/2025: Location carina, personale gentile. Carta dei vini con prezzi esosi, piatti non sempre azzeccati, conto eccessivo. Pici cacio pepe e gamberi, buoni ma non ho capito cosa c entrano i gamberi, totalmente sopraffatti dal formaggio. Tiramisù con amaretti insapore. Frittura buona. In definitiva, non lo consiglierei, con gli stessi soldi si mangia molto meglio altrove.

18/08/2025: Excellent fishmonger. Punctual and well-organized. Very fresh fish. The fried food is really light and not greasy. The cacciucco is superb. In short, a sure thing.

31/07/2025: Despite spending many summers in Follonica, it was our first time trying this fish and chip shop... and the experience was beyond positive. We ordered fried shrimp and squid to go: good-quality fish, fried to perfection—crispy, dry, and not at all greasy. The staff were friendly and the fresh fish counter was well-stocked, making it a surefire way to return for more to cook at home. A great find!

13/10/2025: This evening at 7PM : Worst lasagna ever, worst canneloni ever. Only paste con salmone was OK.

12/10/2025: A spectacular meal and service and in contrast food prices like those of the place that I liked the most without a doubt

28/09/2025: Excellent hospitality and service, a magnificent, culturally picturesque location. Fresh food, freshly prepared with professionalism and the majestic creativity of Chef Omar and the pastry chef for his desserts, masterfully craft stellar delicacies. The pictures speak for themselves.

31/08/2025: A negative experience to say the least. The place was very nice, but it was incredible that, on an already sparse menu, most of the dishes we chose were no longer available. The appetizers were decent, but the entrees were tragic. Pappardelle with wild boar ragù was actually tagliatelle, overcooked, and served with stew rather than ragù; tagliolini with truffle, with the most flavorless truffle I've ever eaten. Slow service, dishes brought in batches; an experience not to be repeated.

30/08/2025: An osteria that aims to combine Maremma cuisine with Argentario seafood. It doesn't succeed in either. The charcuterie board is unremarkable; good but not refined. The sliced ​​steak was tough and flavorless, despite being rare. The grilled calamari...to be forgotten; it's obviously a frozen product served as if it were fresh. A real shame, because the service was good and all the ingredients for a good osteria were there...

06/09/2025: Beautiful beach and sea. Excellent services at a fair price.

03/09/2025: Not recommended. We were at the beach today, September 3rd, and wanted to rent an umbrella for the afternoon (including two loungers). Firstly, there was no afternoon rate (we arrived at 2 p.m.), and the "supervisor" wanted a €25 daily fee for the umbrella (it's now off-season). At the beautiful Morcone beach next door, the umbrella costs €15! Then I paid with Visa, and we had small beach chairs for our two kids, which we weren't allowed to use. Then I wanted to cancel, and strangely enough, cancellation isn't possible with credit card payments. Conclusion: worst service on the entire island, too expensive, umbrellas packed too tightly, constantly being checked... Better to choose a different beach (next door) or even a different beach. A huge disappointment for us, and the first and last time.

08/09/2025: Dear Hotel Playa Team, We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful stay at your hotel. We particularly enjoyed the location directly by the sea and in the shopping area, which made for a relaxing holiday. The room was always clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. We would especially like to praise the excellent service, from the manager himself to the entire team. We always felt well looked after and were provided with many useful tips for excursions in the surrounding area. The parking in front of the door at a fair price of €8 per day was also very convenient. Overall, we were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Playa. 06/09/2025: A welcoming and delightful place, not to mention the exceptional food. A wide selection of wines and dishes for all tastes: vegetarian, vegan, and seafood. Even the desserts are top-notch. The place is meticulously designed and intimate, with friendly staff who make you feel at home. If you haven't been there yet, what are you waiting for?
