25/07/2026: The staff was rude and inattentive. The fried mixed seafood was awful, even the smell alone was inedible. This comes from someone who grew up in a seaside town and has always eaten fresh fish.

13/06/2026: Although the beautiful scenic location their cuisine is only pretentious, suggesting for them to seek a better Chef since none of the dishes presented were acceptable by local Italian standards and more.”Pulpo à la Gallega” as a main dish(secondo) REALLY? few macro pieces of Octopus hided by toooo many badly cooked potatoes :zero stars here “Linguine alle vongole “ no way .. they were tooo uncooked ( not “ al dente” )but furthermore they were unsavory, possibly not seared well.. here again you can easily eat a very Great spaghetti alle vongole o allo scoglio everywhere in the area.. but not here. “La Parmigiana” as appetizer .. yes it was flavored but so weird.. two eggplants..sank in tomato sauce.. here again may be my Napoli’ standards didn’t help here but it makes me laugh.. I won’t review other dishes as didn’t tasted them but my sister and wife were NOT satisfied at all to say the least. Only the breads were very good. Sorry but when you pretend to be , (see owner attitude)of some high level only because the location and installations are nice.. food must match that and here simply it didn’t.

05/08/2026: We discovered this restaurant on the first night of our stay on Elba Island and fell in love with it so much that we returned a second time... and we'll be back again before we leave. The experience was impeccable in every way. The staff is extremely professional, friendly, and helpful: we felt welcomed with kindness and attention from the first moment, qualities that truly make the difference today. The cuisine is simply exceptional. Each dish is carefully prepared, and the quality of the ingredients is immediately apparent. Special mention goes to the spaghetti with lobster ragù, which was undoubtedly one of the best dishes I've ever eaten: an unforgettable flavor. The location also deserves special mention. Dining outside, with the soft lights that come on at sunset, the sea just steps away, and a romantic atmosphere, makes for a truly magical evening. Inside, however, the view of the sea, boats, and even ducklings creates a relaxing and evocative atmosphere. Furthermore, despite the summer months, it's truly wonderful: a pleasant sea breeze blows outside, while inside, fans and the air coming in through the windows make the atmosphere cool and comfortable. Finally, one aspect I really appreciated is the value for money: the prices are absolutely in line with the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience. It's one of those places that leaves a lasting impression, and I sincerely recommend it to anyone visiting Elba. Kudos to all the staff for the passion and professionalism you put into your work. We'll definitely be back!

06/08/2026: One star, and only because zero isn't an option. There were seven of us—four adults and three children. The pizza appetizers, pasta, and risotto were acceptable. Then the whole fish arrived, and it was inedible. It had a rubbery, truly unpleasant texture. None of us could eat it. But the real reason for this review is what happened next. We asked the waitress to call the manager. A colleague came in her place—not the manager. No apology. Not even a word of acknowledgement. The entire dish remained on the bill. When it came to the bill, we were asked if we wanted to take the fish home: after paying for a dish no one else could eat, that question was insulting. After paying, we went to find the manager. She told us that there was nothing wrong with the fish, that the chef had deemed it good, and therefore we were simply the ones making the mistake. A second employee intervened to reiterate that the fish was excellent. Essentially, the management's position is that seven paying customers are wrong and that the kitchen is above criticism. Any restaurant can make a mistake. This is forgivable. What is not: a management that argues with its customers, refuses to apologize, fails to apply any adjustments to the bill, and treats a complaint as something to be overcome rather than resolved. The arrogance was remarkable. The food was mediocre at best, unacceptable at worst. Hospitality was nonexistent. There are too many good restaurants in Forte dei Marmi to spend your money here. 29/07/2026: Beautiful location, disappointing execution. The setting is elegant, stylish and one of the nicest in Forte dei Marmi. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The restaurant feels overloaded, with too many guests and not enough staff, resulting in slow and disorganised service. The fish was fresh, but noticeably overcooked and dry, which is difficult to accept at this price level. Compared with other excellent restaurants in Forte dei Marmi 👎

18/05/2026: Negative because if you order a sea bream, you can't bring me half a sea bream.

03/05/2026: It's no longer called Pierrot but Marmarè. A nice, clean, and modern place run by enterprising young people. The staff is friendly and courteous. The lunch I tried at Lo Scoglio was excellent. The portion was tasty and generous. The ravioli alla carrarese were excellent, as was the sea bream. If I ever return (since I'm coming from Alba, near Cuneo), I'd love to try a nice grilled steak.

05/08/2025: The pizza is good and the atmosphere is excellent, but it's unjustifiable in the height of summer that after 10:30 pm you can't even get a coffee or a dessert, even a pre-packaged one.

17/07/2026: The place has now changed management and is called IR PASTAIO: now it's definitely very convenient. Basically, you choose the fresh pasta from the counter and the dish is then served in the type you like (carbonara, ragù di mucco, etc.). For just €6, for example, they'll get you a huge plate of caciuccata di fusilli!!! Really well prepared!!! Far from the crazy prices of many restaurants... Highly recommended place and unfortunately not advertised enough. For like €10 you can have pasta and dessert 👍👍👍

27/06/2026: Ir Tegame no longer exists. It's now called Ir Pastaio, the same place and the same menu, but it's like a diner: you choose your pasta shape and sauce, then you eat at a small table with plastic cutlery and a placemat that you take and throw away. Fast food prices and nothing more. They don't take reservations.

12/08/2026: The pizzas were excellent. Very light and delicious! The food arrived quickly.

27/07/2026: Maito clearly has a reputation which unfortunately relies only on legacy. Waitrons are obviously incentivized to upsell but without the delicate skills required to be tactful. We were assured that the Bellini my wife ordered was the real deal. As Italians it should be an embarrassment for them to call it a Bellini especially when you pour the equivalent of a peach ice tea into a bubbly! The meat was marbled and tasty but could have fed four instead of two. The vibe, though, was festive and relaxing. Forte dei Marmi is losing its appeal and Maito is the metaphor for this decline. Not even the Roman Empire could survive the excess and abuse… New year and feeling a little more forgiving we agreed to give Maito a second chance. Our table location at the beach entrance was a good start as was our pizza frenetica as our starter. The meat selection was excellent but then it all fell apart when our fish order went awry. The grilled fish was proudly presented and then went awol. Clearly served to the wrong table but the excuse, when plating it, it became evident it needed to be returned to the grill. Gaslighting! The number of tables have been increased but it was clear that insufficient waitrons were on duty to maintain the requisite quality of service. Pity that the proprietors don’t understand that cutting corners is quickly exposed to their own detriment.

12/07/2026: A wonderful evening spent at this typical Livorno restaurant. The fish-based first courses are highly recommended. We also tried the delicious cacciucco, which more than met our expectations! The staff were friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be returning.

01/06/2026: The food is excellent, even the non-restaurant-prepared food, like the lemon sorbet. Very close to the sea, no parking issues. I'll definitely be back.
