05/10/2025: Total disgrace for home delivery. Poor service in every way. Ordered 2 pizzas and a hot mixed pizza. - The Diavola Pizza, which was supposed to contain (spicy salami, mozzarella, mushrooms, and black olives), arrived as a Margherita. - The Parma Pizza only came with arugula and mushrooms on top, which the menu supposedly contained (mozzarella, prosciutto, and parmesan). - The hot mixed pizza on the menu was a 1-portion pizza with: chips, panelle, croquettes, battered vegetables, Ascoli olives, and mozzarella balls. ** A small tray of chips arrived with exactly 2 potato croquettes and that was it. Ordered at 8:08 PM - the app gave me a preparation and delivery time of around 24-28 minutes, but obviously the time extended to 9:25 PM. Once it arrived...surprise! I found what I found. I called the restaurant, and the gentleman, very upset about the call, told me he'd come pick up everything within 10 minutes and refund me. It's been over an hour since I'm writing this review. Not so much about the money, but rather about the complete rip-off.

08/09/2025: The bill was overcharged, not in line with the menu prices! I paid without any fuss, and thank you, never again! My compliments! The only customer of the evening, perhaps he wanted to get even with me!

05/06/2025: Ho pranzato due domeniche fa in questo buon ristorante situato nel centro della città, dietro la Via Etnea. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto dalla qualità del cibo proposto e dal servizio veloce e cortese (dal momento che purtroppo avevo l'aereo a breve). Ho preso maccheroni alla norma, cotoletta e torta al limone. Il ristorante ha una ricca carta di pietanze sia di carne che di pesce. Mi sento di consigliarlo a chi viene in città, considerando che non è facile trovare nella zona ristoranti altrettanto buoni. Spero io stesso di tornarci presto.

14/02/2026: I arrive at 8:55 PM, and they come to the table to order at 9:45 PM after I've called them repeatedly. I order a pizzolo with chicken at 9:45 PM, but they arrive while the pizzas are being served at 11 PM, saying the chicken is out of stock. I quickly choose another one, which still hasn't arrived after half an hour. Everyone's finished eating, and I'm not even hungry anymore. Shame on you. Don't go.

16/10/2025: Went there with nine people Paid €181 bill The food was damn bad I could have done better Lousy mussels, filled with stones and sand Pasta not al dente, but rock hard Beef steak was impossible to chew, impossible to swallow, really badly made Service as if they were robots No idea about waiters The chef has no idea about cooking Simply terrible, never again and I advise everyone not to go there. Find something on the main street instead. You won't be happy in this place.

05/10/2025: We visited this trattoria for a seafood dinner and had a truly wonderful time. Everything was excellent, especially the appetizer, which was generous and well-prepared. The staff was extremely polite and helpful; they gave us excellent advice on our dish selection, and you could sense their passion for their work. The only small complaint concerns the restaurant, which could use a bit of a makeover to reflect the quality of the cuisine. Overall, however, it was a very pleasant experience, and I recommend it to anyone looking for good, authentic seafood cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

01/08/2025: Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo in questo ristorante, su una bella terrazza con vista mare. Abbiamo mangiato pane cunzato, frittura mista, spiedini di pesce spada. Buon cibo, piatti tipici, servizio veloce e prezzi adeguati.

28/02/2026: Horse meatballs were completely raw, and the second one arrived extremely raw as well. When it came time to pay our change, €32 was missing. I went back to the cashier and the lady at the counter replied in a firm, slightly joking tone, "Yes, I noticed, but you were gone." A terrible experience.

12/10/2025: You can understand almost everything... The problem is accepting things... A table booked for 9:00 PM... the first ones dine at 10:30 PM... the others after 20 minutes. As soon as we entered, we asked for information about the dishes served at Risto, not at Pizzeria. When they came to take our order, they told us that the chef was sick, so no Risto... but after our disappointment... ok for Risto. Shortly after, however, it was the pizza chef who had had a mishap. 🤔... The simple and disarming truth is that only pizzas came out and nothing was served... and we had to wait over an hour, even on a Saturday night...!!! The waiters do their best, but if Brancaleone's army is in power... A total mess... The dishes were average with prices. In the end, we left at 11:15 PM, having consumed one dish each. The average score today of 3.8 unfortunately has a justification.

21/09/2025: The restaurant is located in a square, and we dined outside. The pizzas were delicious, as were the first courses. The service...hell. Very confused, unprepared, and slow.

01/01/2026: I beg you, take my advice. The people who cook have no idea how to make even a plate of spaghetti with clams. The quality of the ingredients is terrible. Plus, the prices are incredibly high. And the owner talks nonsense and makes fun of you: the Mazzara shrimp, which were actually huge and frozen solid, were actually frozen. The location is beautiful, but I highly recommend eating anywhere but this one. They're too bad.

Courtesy and respect are the foundation of a restaurant! Restaurateurs, be careful who you put at the counter! They reflect the restaurant... BE CAREFUL. The breakfast is good, a bit limited... but if it's true that the wine is good... It's fine!

01/11/2025: I just had a coffee and a coffee creamer... both were good except for the girl at the counter who, as soon as she served us, stood in front of us staring at us until she finished our drinks... is this normal? What manners she received!! Watching people while they eat... this is very serious!!!

20/11/2025: The place looks beautiful because of the view. I celebrated my wedding there on 09-10-2025, the room was very dirty. I had prepared my own menu, which was completely distorted. They served me casarecce with jarred pesto and pickled mushrooms (seven for each dish, all disgustingly soupy). You can imagine the pasta that even tasted of vinegar. No decorations whatsoever on the plates. The rude owner said to a local person (pick these up and take them away). Of course, I didn't hear you. And it was better because it would have ruined my wedding. They didn't even have the delicatessen to remove the dust from the wedding cake. On the bill, they charged me €200 for Aperol Spritz. They told me that my guests consumed them. When I calculated, it was only 11 and not 30 as they said. The star I gave only goes to the DJ, who was really good.

02/10/2025: Old hotel with minimal rooms and dated furnishings. Excellent location in the restricted traffic zone. The lady who runs it is courteous and attentive. Be careful about staying in the restaurant for dinner; prices are far too high for the portions.

14/09/2025: It seems to me that many of the reviews are derogatory. Or they refer to before the renovations, which took place around 2023 or 2024. What is certain is that the Hotel Moderno is now highly recommended. The rooms and bathrooms are furnished to a four-star standard. The restaurant has an enchanting view, both day and night; the menu is basic, but chef Baldo executes it very well. The wine and spirits list is basic but well-chosen, and we found the bulk white wine to be very respectable. The staff is friendly but discreet, the lobby is cozy and welcoming, and the background music is relaxing. Anyone who writes that parking in Erice is difficult and expensive either misunderstands or is not acting in good faith; for €12, you can park for a week in various parking lots. Erice is a medieval village, offering superb views, a pleasant climate, a relaxing atmosphere, and traditional cuisine and pastry shops that offer good value.

05/01/2026: First time at this place and also the last... The fixed menu was awful, to say the least. A relative of mine didn't eat dairy because he was intolerant. The sfincione had cheese on it, and the waiter assured me it wasn't there when you could clearly see it on top and the smell also said otherwise. The food was poor: the meat was full of fat, the potatoes were dry and not fresh, and the portions were small. I don't want to mention the hygiene in the bathrooms, which in a place must always be impeccable. Dirty bathrooms, dirty tiles, unqualified staff, and, most seriously, I don't know if it was the owner... he smoked inside even though there were small children. The only exceptional thing, but not thanks to them, is the spectacular view, which a place worthy of its view deserves.
