26/07/2026: Excellent quality dishes, a simple yet quaint location, and fast service. Having eaten meat, it was a shame not to find a sparkling red wine. I recommend parking in Piazza Paolo Borsellino, where there's a large paid parking lot. I'll definitely be back.

11/08/2026: Very disappointed with the service. Our dishes were served for three people each time, with 15-minute intervals between each course. One person would have finished eating before another dish arrived. The waiters were very arrogant and, to make matters worse, made a mistake on the bill, charging me €180 for a bottle of Champagne when we only ordered two glasses of wine. We will never set foot in this place again.

11/10/2025: Maurizio was very kind and welcoming. The caponata was the best I've tasted in the Aeolian Islands, and the stuffed squid with sauce was wonderful! Thank you.
05/10/2025: For the owner alone this restaurant is worth a visit. Such a lovely and engaging man, who spoke Italian, English and German with us. The food is delicious and though on the pricier side, portion size and quality justify it. We had the best seafood noodles here. (Sadly I only have a photo of the empty shells)

06/08/2026: Restaurant where you eat quite well, even the pizza is very good, the only negative note during my parents' golden wedding anniversary the air conditioning was not working with the stifling heat in the month of July, when in fact it had been said that it was working normally, so on this aspect I'm sorry but they lost a lot of points
18/07/2026: Excellent wood-fired pizza... The place seems a bit stuck in the 90s in terms of decor.

07/08/2026: They didn't let me access the beach club (which was empty, to boot) because I was with minors, even though their website explicitly states otherwise.
The day before, they didn't answer my phone or my web browser to book.
"If we're talking about daytime access to the Solemar Club (beach club/solarium during the day) and not the evening bars or disco, the situation changes drastically.
Regarding the daytime solarium and the beach:
Minors MAY access, but only if accompanied by an adult (like a mother with her three children).
Minors MAY NOT access alone (without the presence and supervision of a responsible adult)."

03/08/2026: On Saturday, I had lunch at Solemar. Beyond the location, which is renowned for being an elegant and classy place to unwind, I found the welcome in the dining room to be truly fantastic. Alessia was present throughout the entire lunch, accommodating all my table's needs with a smile and great professionalism. I will definitely be back for lunch, because beyond a fantastic location, it's important to find courteous, professional, and attentive service like that of Alessia and her colleagues.

14/08/2026: I generally don't go to restaurants with a rating lower than 4.0, but I made an exception. There were already glasses on the table, which were quite greasy - not washed well. We ordered pizza and lasagna. The pizza was delicious. The lasagna too, but only if I liked it cold. It was hot around, but icy in the middle. I warned them and they warmed up the dish, without apologizing, just saying no problem we will reheat for 2 minutes. When it arrived again, the plate was completely greasy from fingers around, the lasagna was warm, but cold inside again. I advise against visiting

14/02/2026: I arrive at 8:55 PM, and they come to the table to order at 9:45 PM after I've called them repeatedly. I order a pizzolo with chicken at 9:45 PM, but they arrive while the pizzas are being served at 11 PM, saying the chicken is out of stock. I quickly choose another one, which still hasn't arrived after half an hour. Everyone's finished eating, and I'm not even hungry anymore. Shame on you. Don't go.

Lousy mussels, filled with stones and sand
Pasta not al dente, but rock hard
Beef steak was impossible to chew, impossible to swallow, really badly made
Service as if they were robots
No idea about waiters
The chef has no idea about cooking
Simply terrible, never again and I advise everyone not to go there. Find something on the main street instead. You won't be happy in this place.

05/06/2025: Ho pranzato due domeniche fa in questo buon ristorante situato nel centro della città, dietro la Via Etnea. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto dalla qualità del cibo proposto e dal servizio veloce e cortese (dal momento che purtroppo avevo l'aereo a breve). Ho preso maccheroni alla norma, cotoletta e torta al limone. Il ristorante ha una ricca carta di pietanze sia di carne che di pesce. Mi sento di consigliarlo a chi viene in città, considerando che non è facile trovare nella zona ristoranti altrettanto buoni. Spero io stesso di tornarci presto.

06/05/2026: The place is decent, the service is good, but the food sucks. I had some bread that tasted like medicine or chamomile tea, the pasta was decent, the fries were frozen and almost raw, while the schnitzel tasted like bread and had very low-quality meat. Plus, the forks bent easily.

16/05/2026: Everything was delicious… the insalata capricosa was fresh and the spaghetti tasted great. All the ingredients were high quality. Unfortunately, the portions were too large, so we couldn't finish our plates as usual.
We'd love to come back to try the dessert menu 😋
