13/09/2025: A week ago I was invited to a wonderful dinner, with fantastic people, on the occasion we said goodbye to friends who were leaving and a friend, colleague, little sister Alessia who was finishing the season and on the occasion we said goodbye to our friend Vizi, this is the place that in 1986 and 1987 gave me the opportunity to learn to work in this sector (what good times) I thank the managers, the staff who are very good, very kind and we ate very well in a clean environment, thanks also to everyone at the Bahia kiosk, all wonderful, thanks again and see you next time ajo'💪💪💪

07/04/2026: Exceptional place! The cocktails are truly unique and rare; I've never tried anything like them anywhere else. The amazing thing is that, despite the high quality, the prices are absolutely fair. A gem in Alghero!

05/04/2026: The most beautiful venue on the ramparts. The view of Capocaccia is breathtaking, complemented by the welcoming staff who ensure you enjoy the most beautiful sunset in the city. Cocktails are always accompanied by a welcome snack. Highly recommended.

02/11/2025: A very pleasant short vacation. The owners and staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was spacious, well-maintained, very clean, and well-soundproofed. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet with a good selection of sweet and savory dishes. The buffet was well-stocked and constantly replenished. The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. All meals, both fish and meat, were always excellent quality at a more than fair price. There is a beautiful beach nearby, within walking distance, but the hotel is also ideally located for reaching other more popular beaches. If the opportunity arises again, we will return. Highly recommended.

01/03/2026: The lunch menu was incomprehensible. I was treated like a clueless tourist: it took 45 minutes to get a first course that wasn't what I ordered ("linguine" with crab shells instead of "fusilli" with cheese), and for the second course, a pork stew that was nothing but fat. Probably leftovers, since it was 3 pm. Over two hours of suffering in total.

01/08/2025: Location con parcheggio disponibile. Il ristorante è bellissimo sia dentro che fuori, ha vetrate trasparenti quindi durante la cena abbiamo assistito a un bellissimo tramonto. Personale gentile, disponibile e attento. Porzioni super abbondanti e veramente tutto buonissimo! Questo posto ci è stato consigliato da un amico sardo e io veramente consiglio di non perderlo! Prezzi assolutamente nella norma abbiamo speso meno in questo posto sublime che in altri ristoranti di pesce della zona. Sicuramente torneremo perché ha svoltato il nostro soggiorno in Sardegna!

29/07/2025: Esperienza deludente, mai più. Siamo stati in questo ristorante con buone aspettative, ma purtroppo la delusione è iniziata quasi subito. Fin dall’arrivo ci è sembrato che ci avessero “inquadrati”: ci sono state servite porzioni visibilmente ridotte rispetto ad altri tavoli vicini, e il trattamento generale non è stato dei migliori. Il cameriere che ci serviva si è mostrato poco attento, spesso parlava con il tavolo dietro di noi mentre prendeva il nostro ordine o serviva i piatti, quasi come se fossimo un contorno alla sua conversazione principale. L’atmosfera è risultata fredda e poco accogliente. Alla fine del pasto, con uno scontrino da 112€, ci siamo permessi di far notare che le porzioni erano davvero scarse, ricevendo come risposta dal proprietario: “Avevate poco appetito”, con un tono poco professionale e piuttosto arrogante. Un’esperienza che non giustifica minimamente il prezzo pagato. Di certo non torneremo.

26/03/2026: Magnificent restaurant perched on the cliffside with a breathtaking sea view! The large terrace is sunny all day long, and the setting is incredibly beautiful and chic. The dishes are very, very good and refined, and the presentation is superb. It was excellent; we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The presentation is impeccable, and the service flawless! Reservations are essential to secure a table.

24/02/2026: Located in the heart of the city, yet perched on a secluded cliffside between the harbor and Poetto beach, La Paillote is no longer a hidden gem. On the site of a former military base, the owners have created a beautiful haven with a small pebble beach, terrace seating, and an excellent restaurant with a creative menu, though the quality can be inconsistent. It's the perfect spot for a sundowner, and afterwards, you can enjoy cocktails and snacks or a full dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. In the evenings, the place often transforms into a restaurant-club with live music or a DJ. Note: Parking can be limited in the evenings.

11/09/2025: What should we say? I think the photos are enough! Sometimes words are useless when faced with such quality and beauty. The friendliness of the waiters and the owner was excellent. We've never had such delicious lobster pasta. Best of luck with everything.

07/04/2026: Really disappointing experience. Me and two friends were visiting Sardinia and looking for somewhere to eat around midday. We found this place on Google and it looked promising, so we decided to walk in. From what we could see, the restaurant was far from full, maybe around 30% occupied at most. As soon as we entered, the waiter (an older man) approached us with a noticeably unfriendly attitude and was already giving us a dirty look. We politely asked if we could get a table for three, and without hesitation, he abruptly responded “No, it’s full” in a very aggressive tone. The way we were treated was honestly shocking. There was no effort to be polite, no explanation, just straight-up dismissive and rude behaviour. As tourists - and as people in general - no one should be treated like that, regardless of background. Such a shame, because the place had potential, but the service completely ruined it. They seriously need to do better.

07/04/2026: Restaurant not recommended. The waiter was very cold and unwelcoming, and if you order the shellfish risotto, it's full of waste.

14/04/2026: Average food. There was nothing on the meniu that we sau in google Photos. The mediteranean fish was not file as it had plenty of bones.

14/04/2026: Trattoria da Sara offers a nice alternative to the city places but do not be fooled, as on my visit, out of the holiday season, the portions were not filling, we were a party of four, the fish was properly descaled and it contained a lot of bones, and we did order a fillet which should not have that many bones, nor was the beef cooked correctly being undercoomed, the order was beef with chimichurri sauce, 5 thin pieces of beef for 16Euros. We were hungry so we had to eat something as we were tired from a very long day. My recommendation, phone beforehand, ask if things are on the menu as when i came i asked with pictures published on their google location they did not have them on the menu. E.g a plate of grilled swordfish and calamari. I will give that they tried their best in the situation, but was sub par in my opinion. A positive is the Fregola dish with sea food. Tasty and filling.

08/10/2025: There were 9 of us: 4 adults, 5 teenagers/children. The food was okay (depending on what you ordered, it was also good), and the atmosphere in the restaurant was okay. The service - well... One child only wanted to order a side salad or a portion of fries (which is available on the menu). The staff then got rude and demanded that we order a set menu. This was despite the fact that we hadn't "just" ordered pizza, but entire menus with appetizers and expensive wine. The restaurant should be more accommodating... With a "Servizio & Coperto" charge of €2.50 per cover, you're already paying for the service.
