03/12/2024: In tutti i posti in cui ho mangiato a CAgliari in questi 10 anni questo è stato il migliore; antipasti gustosissimi, primi eccezionali, personale gentilissimo e prezzi convenientissimi.

27/11/2024: No restaurant is ever perfect! But the La Taverna di Castello restaurant in via Barcellona in Cagliari, among the many that I have tried in the surrounding streets, comes very close, indeed very close to perfection!! Starting from the appetizers, to the first and second seafood courses, nothing is left to chance. Succulent and abundant portions, with the possibility of eating either inside the restaurant in a rustic and well-kept environment, or outside where, with the temperatures still warm this autumn, it is still pleasant to stay outdoors. The owner is very hospitable, professional and at the same time very attentive to the customer's needs. Imagine that, while waiting for our table to be free for dinner, he joined us with a nice prosecco to make the passing of time less burdensome. Location, food, service, hospitality at the top! 31/01/2025: The place is warm welcoming. Also very nice for lunch. We tasted the Tuscan menu. Traditional dishes. All very good accompanied by a classic Chianti. We will be back for the truffle menu.

29/10/2024: I had an extremely disappointing experience with the event management at this location. After 25 emails exchanged and an inspection, I had to contact them again for clarification, as I was no longer receiving any replies. Only at that point did I discover that it was not possible to organize the event for the evening, even though they had initially confirmed availability. It would have been sufficient to inform us from the beginning of the lack of options to satisfy our request. This lack of clarity and professionalism has caused a significant waste of time and energy. We would have expected more honesty in communications, instead of false reassurances regarding availability on weekends. I cannot attach the contents of the emails as they are protected by regulation 195/2003. Attached is the second photo, where you can see the discomfort after having proposed yet another date which they said was available and ultimately rejected.

25/10/2024: We went to dinner. Breathtaking location, very well looked after, incredible view and beautiful settings. The presence of the white donkeys, which are willing to be petted, is very beautiful. They gave us a table in front of the window, overlooking the bay. We ordered oysters, mussels all'algherese, spaghetti all'algherese and culurgiones seasoned with ovinfort (Thiesi cheese) and walnuts. All heavenly. Impeccable and friendly service, with great availability, and a very welcome pet welcome. The seadas and assorted Sardinian sweets are excellent. Excellent value for money. What can I say? Great evening and place to absolutely return. Thank you!

04/01/2025: Excellent experience. We ate for lunch. A tasting menu based on tuna presented in all its variations, two first courses and a very delicate and particular tuna tripe. Excellent service and very good wine list. Excellent value for money.

26/01/2025: Dopo 2 anni dall'ultima volta che ci siamo andati si riconferma una garanzia, con nuove proposte creative nei menù e soprattutto l'Altissima qualità delle materie prime fatte da un vero professionista dietro ai fornelli. Si completa con un ottimo servizio di sala, personale gentile, cortese e attento alle esigenze del cliente. A parer mio rimane il miglior ristorante a Sassari come da tanti anni a questa parte. Consigliatissimo!

11/02/2025: Il locale è sempre quello che conoscemmo diversi anni fa,il titolare sempre cordiale,simpatico e alla mano. Anche il menù ricalca quello di allora, con gli assaggi degli antipasti di mare semplici ma molto gustosi. Poi la mitica fregola, unica nella sua bontà,con profumi e sapore immutati. Per concludere una gustosa orata al forno ed una frittura di calamari e gamberi. Continua ad essere onestissimo il conto. Alla prossima!

02/02/2025: The place is nice in itself but the Price paid was not worth the dinner. The 35 euro starter was not worth the price!! Really minimal and tasted like nothing. The dinner did not satisfy me at all. Prices too high for what you actually eat

02/02/2025: We went to this restaurant for lunch, on a Saturday and in the middle of winter! First of all, we appreciated the fact that, while most of the restaurants in tourist areas close, they remain open and offer a service. Cozy environment, impeccable service and good food, we were pleasantly surprised! The products are fresh and of high quality, the dishes are original, tasty but delicate! The price maybe a little above average, but it's worth the experience. I would like to highlight that we really appreciated an extra virgin olive oil that enhances the flavors of the dishes, "real" cloth tablecloths and the change of cutlery at each course! Congratulations guys! We recommend it!

05/02/2025: The restaurant is not very expensive but it has the quality to be good, the food is very good, nothing to say, maybe I would refer to the burrata but these are tastes, the waiters are kind and always available, all in all I would go back, I recommend it.

08/01/2025: Three stars but only because it is a small village restaurant. Good starters but not all courses of adequate quality and above all very small portions. Pasta with seafood, spaghetti too thin, not al dente, almost overcooked, very cheap sauce and not adequate for the price of €16. Mixed fried food cooked well and not full of oil but not very mixed... not entirely satisfying. In general, no prawns but only small prawns of questionable quality, Compared to other times, prices seem to have increased and quality has decreased. Just enough rating.

27/01/2025: The owner of this pizza restaurant is a smartass. Table of 10 people, a place used to having a maximum of 10 covers a day, decides that it is the good evening to "collect". He brings us the menus. We ask for pizza, he can't bring it to us, he says they're out of dough. We ask for the first courses, he can't bring them to us, he has already decided that we have to eat the meat. He says "he would have done it". He asks the guests who, upon his indication/imposition, have taken the meat, to convince the others to take the meat, in order to take something that is the same for everyone. We give up. He brings us this blessed meat, two cutting boards in the center of the table, combining chicory, potatoes, aubergines and brown pancakes as a side dish. Bill time: 45 euros per person. It wasn't even possible to know how much we paid for what. Everything as expected: mathematical rip-off, announced, sought and implemented in the slowest way possible, as if people were going to steal the money. I should have done it, I didn't do it just out of politeness towards those who took me there and the others who were at the table, but you who read this review, don't hesitate: run away! There are a lot of honest people out there who deserve to work. I answer: You, Mr. owner, denied the possibility of choosing from the menu, imposing what we had to eat and imposing a price that you yourself decided. Nobody sitting at that table wanted meat, I guarantee it. All the people sitting at the table felt embarrassed and unhappy, they felt robbed, with respect to his methods of operating and his conduct. Split? And even if I wanted to share, how did I divide, if he decided that we all had to take the meat? Yes, it's true. I have the photo of the order, my colleague sent it to me. I'm posting it so everyone can take note. 10 cut? And where were they? And the prices of desserts? He even charged for a herbal bitter that my other colleague said he didn't want. She took advantage of the education and quiet living of those who were sitting at the table with me to collect €450.00 for courses, imposed by her, which were worth less than half of it. I start with 8 witnesses (well yes, there were 9 of us but he made us pay for 10). Go to church. For those reading the review: be careful

09/10/2024: We stayed for 3 nights and it was a really good experience. The rooms look a bit old but they are clean, staff was nice and the breakfast was the best we‘ve had on the whole Island. I would recommend this hotel 👍🏼
