03/12/2024: In tutti i posti in cui ho mangiato a CAgliari in questi 10 anni questo è stato il migliore; antipasti gustosissimi, primi eccezionali, personale gentilissimo e prezzi convenientissimi.

27/11/2024: No restaurant is ever perfect! But the La Taverna di Castello restaurant in via Barcellona in Cagliari, among the many that I have tried in the surrounding streets, comes very close, indeed very close to perfection!! Starting from the appetizers, to the first and second seafood courses, nothing is left to chance. Succulent and abundant portions, with the possibility of eating either inside the restaurant in a rustic and well-kept environment, or outside where, with the temperatures still warm this autumn, it is still pleasant to stay outdoors. The owner is very hospitable, professional and at the same time very attentive to the customer's needs. Imagine that, while waiting for our table to be free for dinner, he joined us with a nice prosecco to make the passing of time less burdensome. Location, food, service, hospitality at the top! 22/12/2024: Establishment ideally located by the sea with a private beach that always has a sunbathing area. Thank you for the distribution of fresh watermelon in the afternoon. Infinity pool with jacuzzi. Perfect wellness area, special mention to Serena for the massage. The staff of the establishment are remarkably kind and available. The room does not suffer from any criticism. Exceptional cleanliness. Well done to the housekeepers. Safe, mini bar, and storage space. Electrical outlets on each side of the bed. Decent WiFi included. Our room overlooked the back of the hotel, no noise. Large balcony. The half board is of incredible quality and choice, the restaurant menu is varied, the breakfast offers a huge choice and the products are fresh. Evening aperitif served with toast, peanuts, chips and olives. This hotel lacks secure parking for motorcycles. But you should know that it is possible at the campsite right next door. I highly recommend and congratulate this establishment.

10/11/2024: My favorite hotel!!!! And I know many hotels. Here you are in the best hands if you want relaxation at a high level. Small and nice, familiar, and every single person who works in this hotel is friendly and you can tell that everyone enjoys working there, everyone is a top team! It's best to eat in the hotel in the evening - a la carte, the kitchen is a highlight! Best quality fish, seafood, etc., excellent tasting recipes, simply first-class cuisine!!! The restaurant with a view of the bay, it couldn't be better.

24/11/2024: Sabato sera, ristorante aveva tutti i tavoli occupati, nonostante questo l’atmosfera é rimasta brillante ⭐️ e tranquilla e si poteva parlare senza dover urlare…. Per farsi sentire. Raffinato, musica di sottofondo soft, camerieri gentilissimi e disponibili. Locale molto bello. Piatti buonissimi e originali chef grandioso. Premiato ci tornerò senz’altro.

04/01/2025: Unquestionably the best restaurant in Cagliari. The food is excellent, the staff is very attentive and Marino makes you feel at home and pampered. The only flaw: it's difficult to find a seat and if you're not a regular customer it's even more difficult to find it.

28/12/2024: From Marino…Only five-star experiences. Around those walls I keep my dearest memories: wedding lunches, birthdays and celebrating milestones achieved. Excellent host who cares about the well-being of his guests. Personally, I always give full trust to him and let myself be guided in the choice of dishes...I am sure that I will never be disappointed by the cuisine of Silvana's expert hands. P.s.: really top truffle treats.

27/11/2024: Molto buono. Personale molto accogliente, disponibile, preparato ed affabile. Pesce fresco e di ottima qualità. Conto in linea con quanto mangiato. Se passate per Sassari andateci.

24/11/2024: We ate at the Giamaranto restaurant in Sàsser. The dishes they prepared for us were very good! Appetizers: octopus with chestnuts, shrimp and chickpea cream with wild fennel, "cardoncello" mushrooms with tuna. Fillet of "ombrina" (jungle fish) with courgette mousse and borage. First courses: blueberry tagliatelle with roasted chestnuts and bacon, bean pizzoccheri with bacon and shrimps, black tagliolini with squid, bottarga and clams. Dessert: almond and chocolate parfait. The waitress and owner are very friendly and take great care of you!

15/10/2024: The atmosphere is very nice, and the service is great and overall quality of food is good. However, fish prices are insanely expensive. Expect to pay minimum 100 euro for one fish for two people and that is without any appetizers or drinks.

27/10/2024: I stumbled upon Lavori in Corso with colleagues after a workday nearby, and we were all pleasantly surprised by the excellent food quality. Each dish was clearly prepared with passion and high-quality ingredients, giving a true taste of Sardinian tradition. The restaurant itself is small, but if you’re lucky enough to find a spot, you’re in for a genuinely enjoyable experience. The menu is limited, yet it offers something for various tastes, which adds to the charm. The only reason I’m not giving a full five stars is a slight rigidity from the kitchen with small requests – they stick closely to the menu, even for minor adjustments or combining appetizers onto a shared platter. Despite this, I highly recommend it; it’s one of those unexpected finds that adds so much to Italian dining tradition.

12/10/2024: By far the best restaurant we visited while our stay in Sardegna. Traditional dishes, very well prepared and with a little tweak. The prices are a bit above average, but it's totally worth it. Highly recommendable.

04/01/2025: Excellent experience. We ate for lunch. A tasting menu based on tuna presented in all its variations, two first courses and a very delicate and particular tuna tripe. Excellent service and very good wine list. Excellent value for money.

15/10/2024: Locale in centro a Palau, servizio ottimo, il pesce è fresco e ben cucinato. Siamo stati una sera in Ottobre con amici, abbiamo mangiato un antipasto di pesce molto buono e anche la fregula consigliata ! Prezzo nella norma

15/09/2024: Nous avons très bien mangé dans ce restaurant. Le poisson grillé était excellent et très bien servi, nous avons eu très peu d’arêtes. Le cadre est simple mais sympathique.

29/10/2024: I had an extremely disappointing experience with the event management at this location. After 25 emails exchanged and an inspection, I had to contact them again for clarification, as I was no longer receiving any replies. Only at that point did I discover that it was not possible to organize the event for the evening, even though they had initially confirmed availability. It would have been sufficient to inform us from the beginning of the lack of options to satisfy our request. This lack of clarity and professionalism has caused a significant waste of time and energy. We would have expected more honesty in communications, instead of false reassurances regarding availability on weekends. I cannot attach the contents of the emails as they are protected by regulation 195/2003. Attached is the second photo, where you can see the discomfort after having proposed yet another date which they said was available and ultimately rejected.

25/10/2024: We went to dinner. Breathtaking location, very well looked after, incredible view and beautiful settings. The presence of the white donkeys, which are willing to be petted, is very beautiful. They gave us a table in front of the window, overlooking the bay. We ordered oysters, mussels all'algherese, spaghetti all'algherese and culurgiones seasoned with ovinfort (Thiesi cheese) and walnuts. All heavenly. Impeccable and friendly service, with great availability, and a very welcome pet welcome. The seadas and assorted Sardinian sweets are excellent. Excellent value for money. What can I say? Great evening and place to absolutely return. Thank you!

10/01/2025: As a Cagliari native, I say that it is our point of reference despite the wide range of restaurants and restaurants in the city (be careful that many overly "touristy" restaurants and trattorias deceptively offer things like Argentinian prawns instead of Mediterranean red......) . I can say that to our taste it is a safe haven, consistency of quality and truly excellent price/food ratio. We happened to ask for off-menu items for special occasions....unbeatable even on non-standard items.

23/12/2024: Di questo ristorante non si può certo parlar male. A parte il tentativo di venderci qualche antipasto in più di quanto fosse sufficiente (volevamo 2 antipasti misti di mare -ciascuno per minimo due persone- in sei e il gestore continuava a insistere per portarcene 3), il resto è filato tutto liscio. I misti di mare erano buoni (ben cotto il polpo con patate anche se con un goccio di aceto in eccesso, ottimo il tonno con la cipolla cruda, le cozze, in bianco, buone, i moscardini niente di speciale), sui piatti principali, invece, c’è stata qualche sbavatura. Il tonno alla griglia con carciofi crudi sopra era evidentemente troppo cotto - forse perché la fetta di tonno era troppo sottile -, il calamaro grigliato, buono, e’ arrivato nel piatto solo soletto e la spigola in umido ben eseguita ma le mancava la spinta di sapore. I raviolini fritti erano ottimi, buona anche la seadas. Carta dei vini nella media come disponibilità, forse leggermente eccessivi i ricarichi. Prezzo a testa € 56,00.

14/01/2025: Friendly staff is helpful We were outside. But it was very cold. There was no pellet stove to heat the place. I didn't like the spaghetti vongole. She was missing something 🤔☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ I don't recommend it. The starter was perfect we took the one for two people x 2. Because there were 4 of us plus the little girl For second we had the fried calamari, I didn't like it. They were soft 🥴 The menu for the little girl was perfect Spaghetti plain + chicken cutlet with french fries 😋😋😋😋😋
