25/07/2024: Excellent! Loved how personable and friendly the management and staff were. This place was recommended by a waiter in our hotel Me Milan Il Duca... just a short walk from the hotel to Assunta Madre. It is a seafood restaurant. We got a kick out of the manager who questioned my husband when he ordered red wine in a seafood restaurant but he did it in a cleaver way asking when they would be leaving to go find a big steak. Then when my daughter ordered pasta with catch of the day and we didn't know what a scorpion fish looked like, the manager brought out a large, orange scorpion fish on a plate so we could see what was being prepared. He also winced when I asked the waiter for parmesan... Americans like their cheese, lol. I went with his recommendation not to douce my lobster and pasta with cheese. The place is rather small but filled up with local guest mostly including a large table of patrons celebrating a birthday and singing. It was a delightful experience all around... the ambience/vibe, food, wait staff.
24/06/2024: I think this is my favorite place whenever I eat raw, it never disappoints! Very kind waiters and staff, ok prices... shame about the matter of charging things to the bill (that you didn't order)... which I have not only had experience with myself but also with others... patience.

27/02/2024: La qualità indiscutibile dei piatti proposti dallo chef e la cordialità del personale hanno reso ancora più magico il precorso degustazione a tema tartufo che ci è stato proposto domenica a pranzo. Cantina ben fornita e risotto al castelmagno strepitoso, torneremo sicuramente.

19/08/2024: Arriving somewhat by chance at this restaurant one afternoon after taking the funicular, we were very well received and seated directly. We had carbonara, they were excellent for a fair price.

11/08/2024: As an Australian I can compare this to la porchetta. It won't offend you, but you definitely will not tell your friends and family about it.
The waiter dropped a glass of ice on us, but he said sorry, so mistakes happens I guess.
I had the Milanese special, veal and risotto tbf it's very tasty but does look a bit odd.

02/08/2024: Their treatment is very nice and the food is delicious. I liked it the most. The ravioli is amazing, do not miss it. + Their problem is that they charge 9 euros, maybe for service or tax, I don’t know.

07/06/2024: Esperienza da non ripetere....fatto giro pesce, si economico ma nulla di più.
Invertono l ordine dell' acqua con il vino.
Servizio troppo confidenziale e quando arriva qualche cliente abituale si passa in secondo piano.
Peccato mi era stato consigliato da amici.
Io personalmente preferisco spendere più di 35 euro a testa ma mangiare meglio.

Pesce freschissimo, servizio cordiale, simpatico, attendo e porzioni giuste.

18/08/2024: Abbiamo trascorso il pranzo di Ferragosto con menù fisso. La qualità è buona ma dalle 12.30 ci hanno servito l'antipasto alle 13.25... decisamente troppo per una portata fredda solo da impiattare. Apprezzabile il fritto misto ma il sorbetto servito come dolce non ci siamo proprio, servito a temperatura ambiente sembrava una bevanda al limone, parente lontano di un sorbetto.

10/06/2024: I was a frequent client there, where Alessandro was the main catalyser, with his love with sparks....
we return there soem days ago after the change of management.
Impression was bad: the lady at the entrance said: "we have just changed... sorry for the mess"...
not good: if not ready pls don to open,
quality of service was poor, the seemed not pros.
food was quite usual, and we already wrote this... level of food is average.. but it was a decision from management, I guess..
only a photo: the dirty tablecloth says all.
I can agree (sadly) with last comments on place.
14/05/2024: La proposta dei piatti è carina, il risultato anche piacevole, però è mancata l’accoglienza, e per essere in una serata con soli due tavoli, è stato un po’ triste. Serve un allenamento al sorriso!

12/07/2024: Midweek lunch experience for two people, which I certainly wouldn't repeat... Let's start with the price: a margherita pizza and a fish main course from the à la carte menu, a bottle of water and two coffees for €39! As for the fish, the taste was also good and the cooking was well done, but the portions were really meager (even the accompanying vegetables); the pizza was a real disaster: low but with a rubbery dough, even the quality of the ingredients wasn't the best, in practice almost half of it was left over
Finally, the possibility of gluten-free options was advertised on TripAdvisor, which was not true

04/08/2024: A good place, where the food is good and the cost is also normal. They are a little slow but that's not always a bad thing. Today for lunch we returned after several years and I must say that everything is unchanged.
The owner then greeted us as if we had been missing a week.
We will definitely be back.
